it is quite quiet and stays really coolit's got 'heft' to it. feels effectively builtit worked for 9 weeks it worked for 9 weeks It looks fantastic, feels very good and the antec fan is whisper quiet. it stayed cool below Prime95 testing. Sadly it crashed with no any warning in 9 weeks. According to Antec's very own power calculator, my setup didn't require much more than 293W, I thought I had alot of added 'head space' for power. I had written a fantastic writeup about this unit a couple months back...silly me. I nonetheless gave it 2 eggs, as it is a fantastic paper weight!

It worked fantastically out of the box. As well quite a few connectors and I had to stuff them in my further dvd bay. I've got a small situation so I did manage to fit it in. The finish is good and it is heavier than my 300w delta that came with my laptop. The higher frequency noise came two days later. Place the 300w delta back in and the dilemma was gone. Hoping the replacement won't have the same issue.

Save your self some dollars and get another power provide Manufacturer Response:We are sorry that this customer has seasoned this problem. There may well be some incompatibility with the power provide and his other components to clarify his failures. To the ideal of our knowledge, for what ever purpose, he has not attempted to make contact with our tech support either, because we have no reported tech assistance troubles with this model any way close to equivalent to what this customer is reporting. We hope he will speak to us so that we could help him. In the meantime we are attempting to get the “failed” units from NewEgg for evaluation.Other customers have not had similar experiences, definitely. Also, Antec was the most reliable PSU vendor in the only, independent evaluation of major brand failures from retail, performed by Hardware.fr, a French internet site. We were the only firm to score beneath 1% failure rate in that evaluation, various of our competitors had failure rates double to 5 occasions greater. Straightforward to setup and get almost everything plugged into. It came with a lot of cables and connectors for what I necessary: 2 HDs two VGA, five fans. Antec's life warranty is unbeatable. Cables are a tiny stiff and occasionally wont bend how you want it to. Kinda wished they'd have a typical "modular" description.

This looks like an astounding PSU. ACTIVE PFC. that means that it is wayy additional effective than all passive pfc energy supplies.120 mm fan is becoming a typical.black sleeving on all the cables4 12V railswill energy something. its costly, 120 is a bit pricey but hey it just came out.and you get what you spend for with antec. I just have to make a remark about the final comment. They just came out with this model much less than a month ago. so first of all you claim that it died on you after 5 months. You could not have owned it five months ago. Second of all you don't want a receipt to RMA something any longer. I lately RMA'ed a thing with antec. I had no receipt, no original box, and barely had any of the accessories. however they nonetheless took it. Just go to their web internet site and fill out a RMA request type. But trust me this thing is so iron clad. you wont will need to RMA this issue for a though.btw did you know their warranty lasts 10 years?

It worked initially... Set up my new machine more than the weekend and anything was great. Got back to my dorm monday morning afterward Ɣ hour drive), hooked it up to my 1080p display (was working with 1024x768 at home), resolution changed then the PSU just bit the dust. I double checked all the amperage and wattage specifications for my hardware and video card and it must have been okay, so I figure it was just a faulty unit. Had to drive four hours back residence to re-pack it and send it back to newegg though... that wasn't cool.

I only utilized 1 modular cable, for my gpuǘnd 6pin pci-e. I now have a ton of modular cables I might in no way use.For the price, this was a very good buy.

Semi-modular, with cables wrapped in attractive mesh. A lot of connectors as previously stated.Has two pci-e conncectors (one is modular) for your ATI 48xx cards. Efficient, quiet, fantastic price with Antec situation combos. Um...the CPU energy Ƙ-pinǚ-pin) are not modular, but if you get it with an Antec situation 鵬 or 900) you can just slide it into the spare cable compartments. Not truly a con in my opinion.... Its attractive, it doesn't have annoying lights, and you do not will need a additional effective PSU if you aren't operating two video cards.Get it with an Antec case combo = serious savings

Heavy Heavy which is very good fantastic. Cables are all fantastic quality and the connectors are the similar. Quite substantial quiet fan. Excellent amperage on four separate rails. SLI certified and good efficiency rating for the value. 5 year warranty is enormous also. I am a happy consumer so far. A lot of cabling for becoming a "modular" PSU. Very huge in size a lot larger than my old Thermaltake PSU kinda had a struggle fitting it into my situation. PSU specs are decent. This is the most idiotic modular configuration I've ever seen. Floppy Disk and Molex as component of the permanent cables???Why not combine the 4 and eight pin ATX and EPS connectors into 1 cable bundle? Two extra modular Molex cables and only one SATA??This PSU was designed for old legacy systems vs something modern day. Clearly the "TP NEW" designers have under no circumstances constructed a method in this decade. If they had they'd configure the modular vs permanent cabling substantially differently.Seasonic has the correct concept. Make them all modular and let the user configure them based on the system.

Very good energy supply, quiet and capable of operating everything I required. I originally believed I needed a lot a lot more energy, but this is much more than adequate and no one else has the 80 Plus Bronze certification at this cost. For some cause, the plugs for the added energy connector clips were aligned improperly and I had to break off the clip on the provide finish to get the plugs in. Doesn't impact the function of the PSU because I'm not expecting something to go pulling at the plugs, but a little annoying. Great seeking, sturdy, good reviews here & around the net. Active line conditioning, wonderful amps per channel, on and on. A lot and I mean a lot of extra modular cords for up to 6 or was it 9 sata pwr connectors, 6-9 molexes, and many GPU energy connectors. Full size and half size additional mobo pwr connectors. Good sleeving of all wires, very neat and doesnt impede airflow significantly at all. Also the wires and connectors all feel quite sturdy and nicely built.Excellent cost for all of the above as well, and great 80+ bronze cert.Did not count on newegg to get my stuff right here ahead of xmas either, we ordered sunday night and it still arrived the day prior to xmas eve (wednesday). Very impressive newegg thx! None. Would nevertheless be none if this psu was 100 rather of 80 shipped. basically a excellent get at current price, still great at total retail, tho id be tempted to go with a corsair one as an alternative at the 120 dollar cost pt.

Antec good quality. Every single competent technical critique out there names this a solid unit. That's the only pro that truly matters, assuming this is the wattage you will need. Partially modular; see con. Inaudible and cool-operating in my i5/HD4850 mini-ITX. Too a lot of permanent cables, and not a sensible arrangement. Should dock an egg, as it's been too long this has been a dilemma. There is no require for a 4-pin AND an 8-pin CPU power cable. Including a lengthy multi-molex cable with the fixed ones signifies far more needless spaghetti. Antec, please take into account the number and kinds of drives that go into a genuine construct, and adjust cabling accordingly. Was all set to acquire a competitor's 80+ unit, when a coupon deal for this 80+ bronze turned up. I could have got by with 300W in this create, but could not pass up Antec excellent for the cost. All my other current PSUs are Antec, and have no difficulties following 1-3 years in service.

Purchased this to replace a failing power provide on one of my machines, based on Anandtech's critique. Amazing steady power beneath any load. 80Plus certified. Functions silently with significant slow fan. Moderatley Modular. Cableing could be much better, but that's just because I am getting overly important about a neat situation interior. You have to cram the cables you don't need to have inbetween unused drive slots. Not my favorite way to go. But as far as functionality, for a 550Watt PS, I highly suggest it. This machine has an ASUS MB, two WD blacks, Core2Duo CPU, 4GB ram and one particular decent video card. If your machine does NOT include four power hungry video cards and twin sets of 5 Raid arrays, then this is a excellent PS.
