Works the very first time, every time. What my nationwide accounts don't realize is this is a needed item when changing CPU and/or motherboard and they don't present it. So I carry a tube with me and bill the dispatchers for incidentals. None Any tech worth their lunch will have this onhand.

Outstanding thermal paste...actually at present the ideal paste available. none Prior to applying check around on the internet for application strategies certain for your CPU form and CPU cooler. I say this because AS's web site directions did not function effectively for my distinct combo so I tried a number of procedures and identified the sweets spot.

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Cons:- A little messy around the end of the syringe after using it

Pros:- Easy to use- Easy to extand on cpu/gpu/chipset- Efficiency
Comment:
This thermal compound is usefull when you have to remplace the used thermal compound that been used for a while, or simply to use a better quality thermal compound than the stuck thermal compound. 12 gram is more than enough to remplace every place which is used to it (cpu/gpu/chipset/etc.). Very satisfied for this quality and quantity.

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Cons:Make sure you read up on the best ways to apply because not cleaning the cpu and heat sink and putting too much compound is actually bad and your temps will go up instead of down.

Pros:The compound it thick and easy to apply. It made my temps go down quite a bit
Comment:
Very good product but you have to know how much to apply and how to apply it. There are a lot of different ways people do it. I personally went with the pea sized drop  in the middle because i read that spreading it like butter causes it to make bubbles increasing the heat.My first attempt wasn't a success. I applied way too much and when i booted the computer, the cpu temp rose to 80deg C. I turned it off immediately and cleaned the Cpu and heat sink with rubbing alcohol. After it dried i applied a lot less which worked very well for me. I went from 50deg C idle to 41deg C (my i7 920 not oc'ed) you might not get this much difference on yours because the compound i had on already was old and in need of a change.hope this helps any of you decide which thermal compound to get.I can't say it's the best because it's the first one i buy and use that doesn't come with the product.

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Cons: Not too much different than stock TIM.

Pros: 12 gram is a big tube
Comment:
Use this Artic Silver 5 with my I930 and Noctua NH-U12P SE2 heatpipe cooler. Either I use too much or too little TIM but the temperature isn’t what I had expected. I’m not overclocking and temperature while idling is 36-41 degree. Not much better from stock heatsink which is around 42-44 degree. Maybe my expectation is too high.

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Cons:Hard to clean them off..

Pros:12 Gram, low cost, really lower heat, not sticky
Comment:
Got 4 of them and I don't worry about them running out like others. Use to have AC thermal gel and they run out really quick. I test a lot's of parts that needs thermal gel, and this is the best value I can find so far. I use it not only for testing, but for a lot's of system build by me. They are all doing pretty well.

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Cons:none

Pros:arctic silver brandeffective
Comment:
I bought this thermal paste to use with chilltek cooler. I needed that as a good alternative for stock thermal paste. It is very good, its tick. Don't apply to much and don't forget to apply the good strenght to your bolts or it will not stick the good way. I can say I lowered my temps from almost 5 degres with that paste its a very good product. I'll use it soon on my 955 for more tests. The big tube is definately amust for people doing a lot of computers.

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Cons:none yet.

Pros:One of the best thermal paste in the market right now IMO.easy to apply compare to OCZ.
Comment:
This paste is the easiest to apply. Simply try a credit card or other card and put a couple of "drop" on the cpu. spread like butter and very effective. If your a OCZ owner, try this one... you'lll probably throw away your OCZ paste.

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Cons:It could have been easier to push...too little force = no goop coming out...too much force = too much goop.

Pros:-Worked Great-Will be using again
Comment:
While this product worked great, I have never used this before and was not exactly sure how to apply it, basically I used a size of a grain of rice to apply it to my CPU and GPU of Xbox 360. What I did not like is that the amount of force needed to push the thermal paste out of the syringe was outrageously high, before it finally came out I was afraid I was going to crack the whole thing!Regardless it got the job done and will be VERY helpful for me in the future.

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Cons:could be cheaper

Pros:great thermal properties
Comment:
The thermal paste will probably just provide a couple of degrees less than the other decent quality thermal paste that comes with your coolers. But at least you know what physical properties this paste has. Can be wiped clean enough with a Q-tip.

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Cons:$$$

Pros:Precise applicator
Comment:
This stuff does the job. Works better than generic and gets things cooler than stock. Be careful applying, you don't need too much or it'll cause capacitive problems (same as any compound). At the price of this stuff you won't want to waste it.

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Cons:- Price is sort of high, but i prefer using the best components, so not necessarily a bad thing, you get what you pay for.- Hard at first to get used to applying, open ended applier

Pros:- Best thermal paste you can buy- Huge temperature drops from cheaper paste- Great for OC'ing
Comment:
This is amazing stuff, a little hard to apply at first because of the more open ended applier, but once you get the hang of it, its very easy. And it only works out to around a dollar a apply vs the 10$ 3.5 ounce tube which is much more an apply. Very good value, highly recommend this.
