Bought as part of a package. Board lasted just long enough to get system up and running. Spent 6 hours with Bio-Star tech support re-flashing Bios, loading new drivers before they decided it was dead. Second one was DOA - would not even POST. Tiger-Direct Customer Service was superb - replacements shipped no question, but who needs the aggravation? They finally substituted an MSI board and that was great until I tried to connect to the Internet - Ethernet port was dead. More time with tech support! It also was returned! After two weeks of hassle I went to my local store, paid $18 extra for a FoxConn board and had a system up and running in less than 30 minutes. (I observed static precautions at all times and have done many of these so I'm quite sure the failures were not my fault).

I wanted to build a budget pc that I could game with, the features vs price on this board are rediculous in favor of the customer. MCP6PB AMD ATHLON IIx3 2.9combo, 4gigs Ballistix 6400, BFG8800 GTOC, WD 500BLK3G sata, and Ultra LSP650 SLI ready psu all new all from tiger, great build blazing fast, dont miss out. Fast shipping too

Good mother board
Comment:
Seems to the job well for a 15 year old girl. You do want to make sure that all of your devices hook up. Mine were older drives and cd writers. It is nickel and dime'n me. I had to buy a ata hard drive and will be buying a ata cd drive. Just pay attention to the ports. Good stable board though.

Purchased as part of a barebones kit. Except for not having a parallel port, this is a great board.

Nice for the price
Comment:
Great board for the price. Large cpu heatsink and fan combos may collide with the ram, however.

Excellent board for Price
Comment:
I have installed this board with the bundled cpu on two systems so far. Very responsive with 2 g of ram. And the ability to upgrade to faster processors is a diffenant plus. Cons would be the 4 g limit for ram and a small rant about the drivers CD. Install is great, but on both machines, running XP pro, the speed and ram are incorrectly recognized by windows after installing the drivers. Windows recognized the 2.7 dual core before the drivers but not after. One registered 768 Mhz and the other was 900 Mhz. Installed PCWizard and it did the same, and also said the processor was running at 260 deg Celcius. Both machines are running very well besides that!

Great bang for the buck
Comment:
very small motherboard fit well in a midsize case. to make connections and add components be prepared to work in tight areas. would advise putting memory chips in before placing the cpu fan in place. Love the quad capability and very impressed with its performace. Only drawback i have is the cpu doesnt seem to have fan control settings. However i am a novice at setups so I may be overlooking something in that area.

Great bang for the buck!
Comment:
This board works great with the bundled Athlon X3 processor, all components ran right out of the box with XP SP3 OS. Couple with a decent video card (got an ATI 4580 PCIe) and u have a decent gaming PC for the kids (Resident Evil 5 runs DX9 with 56 avg FPS).

This is an excellent computer if you don't plan on upgrading the components. Two SATA and one IDE port (2 drives) means there are limits. But the board set up easily with Win7, all drivers found, worked first time and an excellent bang for the buck.

WOW!

My first BioStar MB. Wanted to keep the floppy so its the one of a few boards left that has the option. It's well designed and installation was a breeze. Bios options were better than expected. It compares in quality to the Asus' I usually buy.

Nice Little MOBO
Comment:
I bought this board as a part of a barebones bundle from Tiger. There was nothing about the installation that was challenging. All of the necessary cables were included for my installation(one IDE one SATA) yet if you have more than one SATA device be sure to pick up an extra cable. For some reason the automatic driver installation utility wouldn't work correctly(I'm using a clean install of WinXP Pro) and I had to install them manually which took about 45 minutes. I think most people who get this board will be pleased. So far in my testing it's run well with perfect stability and nice performance.

this mother board offers great performance for such a low price but unfortunately is hard to set up with older IDE cable accessories and you may have to update the BIOS to get desired results

Nice Low End Motherboard
Comment:
I was surprised by the performance of this motherboard. Bought a Kit with it included and the system is running fine. One problem with one of the USB ports but I am not certain at this time if it is a wiring issue, defect in the case USB port or a problem on the motherboard. In any cas, it is a good performer for th money.

Excellent mobo for the price
Comment:
I bought two of these to replace two Intel boards that were DOA and Intel did not support anymore. These boards booted up with no problems. I am using them as workstations running XP pro connected to an SBS 2008 server. Plenty of power for that application at a great price point. I bought as part of a combo with the AMD Athlon processor.

Happy with it.
Comment:
Purchased as a mother board, cpu combo. This was my first motherboard replacement. Install was a breeze except hooking the front panel On and Off switch and hdd light. I had to take off front panel and trace on and off wires then plug the connector in with 2 of the female ends hanging off to the side of the male ends on the motherboard connector. Once I figured that out it works great!
