Comment:
Such and great price for such a great motherboard. Here is my set up. Case: Apeiva X-Supra Case G Type Processor: AMD Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition Memory: 4Gb of ddr2 dual channel 1066 It runs great with my amd phenom. A great motherboard to build off of. Also the on board graphics are pretty good if you do not have a graphic card yet. I love it

Great Mobo combination
Comment:
Biostar TA790GX, Corsair TX650W power, Corsair Twinx 4Gb memory, GeForce 9800 GTX video card All pieces delivered intact and quickly, and all installed without a problem other than providing two power lines to GeForce 9800. One power line was not enough. System will now play Empire, Total War with all settings at max. Great system!

Problem Free
Comment:
This board came in a new system I ordered and it went dead on me (because the power supply exploded - not the boards fault). So I ordered a new one and then the company RMA'ed me another, so I ended up with two boards. Put one in my new system and then used the other to upgrade an older system. Started from scratch with fresh OS installs with both WinXP (32bit) and Vista (64bit). Not one single problem from either of the boards. Awsome board for AMD/Crossfire fans.

This board rocks!
Comment:
I'm not a gammer, but if I was, this is the board to get!I bought this board for my most recent build, which i use for all my media, and this thing rocks!current set up:Biostar TA790GX,AMD Phenom X4 9650,8Gigs Patriot ram,EVGA 9500 GT,ASUS Xonar DX,Corsair TX650W,Seagate 750gig,7200.11 barracuda,Vista 64bit OS,Board booted up without a hitch!and It's Quick! I'm not using the onboard audio and Video so I cant comment on those, but this board has many great features! BIOS is user friendly, fairly easy to navigate with lot's of adjustability,Instalation manual also well done!I also like the board layout,Included software is great! expecially if your a gammer, the stepped O/C utility is great exp for first timmers, also has HW system monitor that displays Volt usage IE: RAM,CPU,NB ETC,also displays CPU and SYS temp, and rpm of 3 onboard fans CPU,NB and System, nice feature,Iv'e not yet used O/C features, but system very fast without it!this is a great board for the money!worth every penny!CG

Very Nice Mother board
Comment:
This mother board has some very nice features for future upgrade. I like the onboard video, but do plan on upgrading in the future. The built in HDMI, 5.1 sound, and even the onboard power/reset buttons are a great addition. I had a bad case with the power button failing. I first thought MB, but when I unplugged the power button cable the PC worked fine. I was able to use the PC with the built in power button.

Great value, but some minor issues
Comment:
The first board was DOA, but I have had no problems with the replacement, so I'll consider it a fluke. Crossfire and AM2+ support, so it's relatively future proof. Onboard video for those who need it. Questionable design decisions, though- primarily the positioning of the Master Crossfire slot at the bottom of the board- with a double-slot card, it's a real impediment to airflow. One other thing- the manual states that a BIOS update *may* be necessary to run an AM2+ processor- requiring you to have a spare AM2 processor lying around. I didn't need one (Phenom II X4 940), but someone unlucky enough to get an older board might receive a nasty surprise when they try to boot their new AM2+ or AM3 processor. Overall a good board, but you make some compromises for the price.

Good board, but some nits
Comment:
I haven't had that much opportunity to use this new board yet because of two bad video cards. The third card seems to be OK, but just received and installed it three days ago. My biggest complaint with the Biostar motherboard is that the master PICe slot is the bottom one rather than the top. With a double deep videocard it covers one of the PCI slots and because my power supply is at the bottom of the case that causes the card in the only remaning PCI slot to get very hot.

Its the third or forth Biostar motherboard that I bought and if I build another computer I will choose Biostar again. The product is just as described: good.

Pretty good mobo
Comment:
First one i got the usb ports and the ps/2 ports in the back didn't work. sent it back, got a new one, and it runs great! Everything works. only problem for me is theres not enough connectors for my case fans. System still runs fairly cool. Im running a amd phenom x4 9850, 1066 dominator series dual channel ddr2, and a radeon 4870hd vid-card. i lost a pci slot using this car as well. Other than original issues, excellent buy! definitely recommended.

This was my first build up, and it went smooth. I had a bit of help from a friend. But not much. It has been up and running for a week now, and no glitches. The bios is easy to navigate and the over clocking tools are pretty cool. It offers a stepped overclock for those that are not sure what to do, and a fully open mode as well. Its pretty cool. Im running a phenom 2 940 in it and it runs really fast. The board layout is pretty good although i will agree with the other poster that you will lose a pci slot if you run a double slot card. The onboard audio was better than my old soundblaster card, and the hdmi looks awesome, just off of the onboard graffics alone. Im running the amd 940, 4 gig of ocz memory, a saphire 4850x2, and a seagate baracuda 500gb drive. Its a great little package for not much coin, fast shipping as always, and everything works great.

Comment:
As always- another rock solid biostar board- i upgraded to this from a ta780g-m2+hp- and its everything i had hoped for- plenty of selectable options in bios and onboard options as well- the only down in all of it is the lack of a mosfet cooler-amd9850 and 8gb of 1066 mhz ram- video runs like water thru this thing- running with cool and quiet disabled at 2.6ghz- all temps well below normal-in an antek nsk4400 case. This is an awesome board for the multitasking media chores. rendering time down to mere minutes. i will buy more of this combination.OC to 3.2ghz on air with no problems at all. this runs better than a lot of mobos in its class for the money.
