i got it for 6$ when it was on sale, it does the job to keep the cpu cool like a stock cooler. i had an old 775 cpu that i didn't want to throw in the garbage so i decided to make a cheap computer that i would use as a file sharing server.

inexpensive, straightforward to install, cools efficiently. for the cost, non that I can feel of Had a thermaltake with copper connector that had a dying fan. Fan only lasted about a year. Became noisy and visibly slow rotation. This issue cools substantially superior. about 15C lower temp general

Cooler Master stopped utilizing the screw-based mounts (see Cooler Master P775 in google - these are the right mounts, but they discontinued that style) in favor of these inexpensive plastic push-mounts. The plastic push-mounts a) don't make great sufficient speak to to efficiently cool the CPU, b) you may possibly get cut badly trying to get the push-mounts to effectively engage, and when you do, c) the fan/cooler won't keep firmly attached to the CPU and will fall off. I've boycotted Cooler Master till such a time as they make a screw-mount accessible once again, these push-mounts are garbage. I don't know I didn't get a opportunity to attempt it out. =/ It says under compatibilty here at Newegg some processors that definitely aren't compatible. Please check the Coolermaster website. Mine was an Intel Core two Quad and the neither the box or web site listed it as compatible. Take care, otherwise should be a fantastic product. :D

Bought 2, one for a P4 two.8(works excellent keeps it cool), one for a P-D 3. (a bit warm, but not poor). For the cost you cant complain. No copper, will not trust with any thing higher than a P-D or P4 I don't think it can maintain a Core two Quad cool, I would spend a lot a lot more income on a heat sink if i had one of them. but for a P4 or a celeron it works definitely nicely.

Bought this to replace a dying fan on an old LGA775 P4 Prescott, and was a perfect fit for the job.

Fan is good, moves decent air. But doesn't fit all socket 775s easy. I actually had to remove the plastic nonsense ''push down screws'' and bend the metal clips close enough to the Mobo to screw it down with real screws. The plastic was to thick to get down in the holes, much less push down. Overall the fan is great, but the install isn't easy and may require modding the fan like said.
