COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Comment:
The included fans, the tooless drive bays, the case wires that were all tied up and hidden and very extended adequate for my needs......for a change. Esata up front which is incredibly handy if you get a board with no esata. I personally can't reside with out esata and my son's board doesn't have it, so it will come in real handy dandy. A switch to turn on/off the l.e.d. lights on the fans. It's also great and wide and will effortlessly fit any 120mm hs/f. Like the part exactly where you can use an ssd with the lil adapter. My son also loves the carrying deal with. I missed the molex connector that runs the l.e.d's on the front panel. I kept asking him if I missed a single, believed there was 1 much more but neither of us found it. Turned on the rig and the fan lights didn't function.......we discovered that pesky molex following that. More than all a fantastic case. Almost everything will have a con, my lil cons didn't warrant an egg deduction. Good situation when it's all put with each other. The only thing this case fails at is the susposed pci tooless idea. It would not hold a 4870 vid card down, no where close to doing so....but I hate these plastic clips for heavy cards anyway and typically finish up screwing them down, like I did with this 4870. The lil plastic clips break genuine easy, but you can often resort to working with a screw or two. If you are working with a couple of tough drives then extra cables can be hidden under the drive bay, other then that, cable management is a bear. The only genuine alternative when it comes to cable management is to just get a full tower situation. Even then other complications rear their ugly head with individuals. You'll require extension cables galore, but the space is there to hide virtually each cable you throw in it. Theres pros and cons on both sizes, it all comes down to how considerably do you want to spend. A complete tower will make you acquire plenty of extensions, the mid tower will make you stuff away cable and this getting a see thru case it can be tricky, but doable. I have utilized other tooless type situations and this one is actually my favorite. My private complete tower is a coolermaster amd dragon factor and I wish it had tooless bays like this. I imply this dvd was straightforward and it's in there sturdy. The hdd, basically attach the rails and slide it in and it's in there sturdy soon after the snap. Really like it. I bought this case for my son's birthday mainly because the one particular I initially put it in was ok for low cost, but was but ugly. He loves the appear of this case. He loves the lil button on the front for turning the l.e.d lites on or off. He loves the ocz 550w psu I had to use due to cable length matters with his original 500 watter. The plus is....the ocz has a massive red l.e.d fan on it and it's modular.I got this on sale for 70 bones w/f/ship and I consider at that price tag point, you can't uncover a greater case.....even from a different nicely know manufacturer......which I have utilised a lot antec instances b4, more so then coolermaster, but I'm in really like with this!

Comment:
Very good airflow. Great design, especailly if you're plaing to let it sit on the ground (as most of the airflow is front-to-back and out the leading). Tons of "wall to wall" distance so it can fit the most monsterous cooling systems. Presently I have a COOLER MASTER V8 120mm Rifle inside and it fits properly, and looks good. The initial problem is that there's a lot of "stuff" going on inside the situation, so operating wires isn't idea. But on the plus side there's a very good amount of space inside. It appears to be missing the two side-fans, which I wasn't going to use anyway, because I bought a MONSTER CPU cooling device which comes correct up to the wall (so extra fans wouldn't fit). So it wasn't a large concern. The back fan from time to time tends to make a very loud clicking noise as if there's a peice of plastic in the way of the blades. I can press on the outdoors of case to make it Louder and then when I quit pressing the noise goes away. If I move my case around as well considerably the noise comes back. I don't have the heart to disasseblem Every little thing inside and replace that rear fan, so for now I'm living with it. The front pannel was incredibly hard to get rid of the first time. In the dirrection there's just a image of how it comes off which basically depicts that after you have both side pannels off you need to have to lift it from the bottom, and it will pull away. There's no clasps or pins or screws. I consider mine had grow to be fused somehow to the major case. Due to the fact I place a superior amount of muscle into it and it wouldn't budge. I thought for sure there has to be a tab or one thing I'm about to break off. Right after a inspecting the face attempting to discover its mysteries, I determine to give it yet another pull till it gave. I man'ed up and pulled it till created a loud "snapped" and released. Again I although for sure I broke some thing - but nope! It's perfectly fine. And now it goes on and off a lot less difficult. Very sturdy and truly nicely thought out and designed. I looked inside and instantaneously blew my thoughts how wonderful anything looked and was organized entirely sufficient room for everything I am going to have in it for default and for all future/possible upgrades. This situation is massive for a mid tower! Not seriously a con but just bigger for a mid tower than what i'm utilised to seeing.A lot more wires than i'm used to seeing but once more not actually a con cause there is a excellent amount of cord handle/hiding in this case. Pros of this situation surely outweigh the cons not that any of mine were really cons =)

COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:small reset buttonWhen attaching a fan to the side there is no room for a fan filter becasue your psu gets in the way.No USB 3.0 on front.

Pros:Handle on top is great for moving. Lots of room inside the case for parts.big start button, control color of fans.
Comment:
There is no usb 3.0 which sucks becsuae it is very handy these days. it also has no room for the fan filter if you have a water cooler. You will need to buy a slim fan if you would like the fan filter. But on the up side the handle is very useful to have.

COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Comment:
I just completed a develop in this situation which is the third Cooler Master that I have utilised for personal computer projects in the last year so it is obvious that I had good experiences with prior CM cases. The case is sturdy and generally effectively constructed. The angled front panel is conveniently arranged and tends to make the controls and connectors effortless to see and reach. I really like getting numerous fans which are really quiet and preserve the case properly ventilated. The case is relatively roomy and has provisions for most of the attributes required in a high-end case. There had been significant differences in between each and every of the circumstances in how the drives are secured which indicates they have not yet found the greatest method. While all had been screw-much less and fairly convenient, the drive bay functions in the Storm Scout are adequate but do not secure the optical drives as effectively as in other CM cases I used. The assembly manual is totally inadequate. If condensed it down to a single language it would only contain about four pages and this would be practically all illustrations. Illustrations are good but inadequate with no reasonable textual comments. The cables included with the case are poorly developed and poorly constructed. The fans, cables, and connectors, do not involve fan speed monitoring capability. Every fan cable is terminated with a normal four-pin molex connector (two wires in a 4-pin shell). The pins in the fan connectors are also huge and tend to push back out of the connector shell when attached to the power provide. Both pins pushed out of the connector that offers power to the front panel switch for fan lights. It was not obvious in which shell holes the two black/red twisted pair install. The manual should have a clear case wiring color schematic. This way even chat line tech support could recognize the design. Some form of sliding clamp (as utilised on many other computer situations) to secure the rear of each side panels would be significantly additional handy than the knurled thumb screws used on all three CM situations I have utilized. Email or telephone support (even to Lower Slobovia) would be superior to the CM Chat line. I may possibly get yet another CM case but it will not be a Storm Scout.

Desirable case, has a convenient manage on top, front USB and audio inputs are in a good place, has space for additional fans, toolless design is good and convenient though I place a couple of screws on my video card to cease movement. 1 of the fan connectors only reached halfway down the back side of the case. There isn't room for extended video cards or other pci cards due to the fact of the tough drive array.

really sleek, uncomplicated to carry with manage, 4 usb ports on front panel, sata port on front panel, power button feels good, extremely good ventilation, red l.e.d. lights are just ideal! side mount difficult drive with snap in place drives are so good! bottom mount psu a plus. lowered my case temps drastically fans are really also! directions suck so if your new to laptop or computer's you may want to ask for aid or take it to some one particular! screws are not labeled so make positive you use the right ones for your board kinda got confusing with different lengths! size might seem massive but kind of a tight fit with two 9800 gtx cards with a full size mother board psu cables and sata cables could have made some slots behind the case tt run cables to board and cards!

This case is wonderful. The carrying deal with is solid. I don't have to move my pc a lot, but when I do, it's extremely handy. Very good front panel, 4 usb, esata, and LED I/O are all awesome. Tool-much less optical drive bays and HDD bays work outstanding. Decent cable management, but it could be much better. Case comes with 2x 120mm red LED fans, and a giant 140mm on top rated adds excellent airflow, and you can add 2 much more fans on the side. Side Place some red cold cathodes in it, truly lights up the case, and appear great with the currently sleek looking side window Did not like the tool-less pci slots. I thought they had been type of a discomfort to use, and you have to end up screwing in most of the stuff anyway, like video cards, if you want it to remain put. Not a huge deal, but inconvenient. It's a great case, with excellent functions, and it looks excellent.

-Great Price tag-Great airflow-Deal with is a plus-Looks fantastic, side window is wonderful-Pretty strong develop for the price tag-Ability to turn LEDs on included fans on and off -Cable Management selections on this case aren't wonderful but with enough patience you can -You will have some difficulty obtaining a big graphics card to fit (see other thoughts) I have a His Radeon 6950 (great card btw) and I had to cut into the HDD Bay to get my card to fit. I only had to cut a bit off the edge and I can nevertheless get 5 HDDs in there if I want to. The LED fans aren't really vibrant. Atleast the front a single isn't. The a single on the back I can't tell due to the fact my Heat Sink (Cooler Master 212 Plus) blocks all the light it emits. More than all I am quite happy with this case. Only expense me ์ because of the mail in rebate.

Excellent airflow. Uncomplicated mounting program. Great built in dust screens front and bottom. Very quiet, and the red led is nice as well as it's not too vibrant. Side panel barely fits back on immediately after putting my 4 HDD back in. Thank heavens my board came with 90 degree connectors, but I want to uncover them for the energy cords as properly. My ASUS GTX 570's had actually 1Ǟ" behind the cards. IF the PCI-E power plugs had been on the finish of the card, I couldn't have utilised this case.

Directions don't tell you much but you ought to be able to figure it out, I wish it had a small more room on the back side where you can run and hide your cables but you can make it work. Manage. Looks. Develop. Features. AirflowThe handle is absolutely the greatest concept given that sliced bread. About three occasions a year I like to blow out ant dust that finds it way into my priceless hardware. Getting the manage tends to make this a breeze. The inside is painted like it was powder coated. I was able to hide all the wires to make a absolute excellent install. Just looks so good.Quiet! E-Sata Headphone/Mic four USB's Power reset on a good angle. This tends to make it great in my desk. I only use one DVD drive and under I intsalled my one hard drive. Which left 3 empty bays were I installed a thermaltake ice cage that houses a 120mm fan and room for 3 challenging drives. I replaced the 120mm thermaltake fam with a red LED CoolerMaster R4 fan. This blows cool air appropriate at my CPU cooler which keeps my overclock @ 30c idle and 45c load with an ambient temp about 78F. I do think even with some of the minor complaints I have with this case, that it is a genuine deal. Its not green. Green is so ugly Right here it is. And it tends to make me so sad. My brand new XFX 6950 2GB video card does not fit. The tough drive is not removeable. But the planet has not come to an end.......(read other other thoughts).I have to wait to order one more 6950 mainly because I am not wealthy like those Nvidia Intel guys.BF3 is not right here but. I will have to build a new rig when BF3 comes out since this 1 won't run it at 100FPS to p^^n noobs! Ok. The tough drive cage is rivited in. I drilled those out and removed it. Much superior. But...Still a issue. My motherboard did enable me to install my video card X16slot in the bottom PCi-E slot. But when I do crossfire, the other 6950 will hit the 5.25 bays. So Sad... But due to the fact I am handy and can consider for myself I realized after seeking how CM built the cage for the bays...All I want to do do is modify the quite egde. It looks like they rolled the edge. So I really should just have to roll it out a lot more(hard to really explain). When I do it I could post a video here how I did it. The space I am seeking for might only be a centimter, its that close. There just isn't something on the net for this challenge. I like the case this significantly that I am willing to deal with these problems. Lots of space for fans. Achievable to mount the power provide so that it doesn't draw air from the case. Side fan slots are positioned nicely for keeping the CPU and video card cool. The space behind the motherboard is good for cable management. Roomy. The deal with is a nice touch for LAN warriors who can justify a case of this size. It's deceiving how tiny space there in fact is behind the motherboard, but it nonetheless operates as long as I don't attempt to route the power provide cables through it. Nevertheless a genuinely snug fit, although. Quickly the very best case I've ever owned - the tiny points make this case brilliant.

Affordable cost. Sideways mounted difficult drive bay enables additional room for graphics card and less difficult hard drive access. Extra front/top USB port. Tool-less design. Very good length on front panel USB and audio cable. As mentioned earlier, tight location for cable management. The require to slide Both side of the case off to insert/remove challenging drives. Not that significantly space to manage tough drive cables. Case is noisier than my Antec 300 case(slight vibration emanating from the side panel). Not that considerably room underneath the top rated 140mm fanƘ pin CPU power connector somewhat close to fan). Not that a lot area to install side fan in side of case above tall CPU coolers. Nevertheless a reach for bottom mount power supply to get to the 8 pin CPU power connector(not necessarily the case fault). I wish the case was about half an inch wider and taller to avoid the above talked about matters. Wish I could've offered 4.5 eggs but falls closer to four eggs than 5.

I have owned this case going on a year and i can safely that this case is solid in each way. The fans are quiet and run quite efficient. I like getting in a position to turn the lights on and off so when i sleep i don't have to worry about getting kept awake by the lights. Solid steel makes it durable. This factor weighs a ton. You could use it as a boat anchor if you wanted. Not seriously a difficulty, just nit choosing. And the swift connect for your expansion slots is a inexpensive piece of plastic that breaks simple and doesn't fasten the cards really nicely. So i use screws rather. When i very first got it my computer would shut off when i bumped it or barley nudged it. I realized i was just careless when installing my motherboard and missed 2 screws on the mobo. So if you are having that challenge check the screws on the mobo. Maybe you got careless like me. Other than that this case is amazing.

This case is constantly criticized for lack of front USB 3.0, but for its amazing price it cannot be beat, Plus if you really need USB 3.0 on the front either get a extension cable, or get a 5.25" USB 3.0 panel.Handle is amazing, excellent for moving the case, i move it to and from a friends house almost once a week. Also as it mentions in the description long video cards fit, but only barley, the PCI connectors are the part that don't, options are getting a Video card with side connectors not back, or L shaped extenders
