Used this case for my initial scratch build, was simple to use, and effortless to move cables about to hide them. a thick trunk line on the "wrong"(non-windowed) side produced the back pannel difficult to get back into spot. immediately after building my new computer, I took it into a nearby laptop shop to get anything looked over just before I hit the power switch. four consumers ordered 1 soon after seeing mine during that once more than.

• Aesthetically pleasing• Rugged• Above average amount of space (for a mid tower)• Successful airflow and quiet fans• Accepts PSUs in either orientation (allows for less difficult PSU exhaust placement)• Screw-less 3.five", 5.25", and PCI/PCIe installation (not required, for those who choose screws)• Front Panel with four-USB 2., eSATA, LED manage, and HD Audio compatability• Designed with cable management in mind• Carrying manage• Mounting holes drilled for 2-120mm side panel fans• Extra hardware integrated • Mesh five.25" bay covers tough to eliminate with no bending them• Screw-less PCI/PCIe retaining clips not strong adequate to manage heavier cards, which includes most video cards• Heavy (for a mid tower)• Cable management complicated for numerous Ɠ+) HDDs or wrapped cables• Instruction manual woefully inadequate for some capabilities• Can\'t accept video cards bigger than ten.6" without having modification of HDD cage Note that this evaluation was performed with the truth that this is a mid tower in mind. Particular pros/cons would be distinct if comparing this item to all laptop chassis in general (ie: weight or space concerns would be diverse when compared to a complete tower). My unit showed some minor paint overspray underneath the handle; from reading other evaluations, this could be somewhat frequent for the product. My unit did not show any grounding/reset troubles with the case or front I/O panel, even after extensive testing with different conductors (finger, powered headphone jack, USB connector, and small iron dowel). My unit is kept off of carpeting throughout most use, but was tested sitting on carpeted floor. Uncertain if this is implies that the concern from past evaluations has been fixed, if the problem from past evaluations had to do with user error, or if I was basically lucky. All stock fans function appropriately. LEDs not vibrant; a pro to some (myself included), a con to others.Overall, a good item.

This case looks very nice and built sturdy i would recommend this case to anyone. Also the side window is very nice but if you have a 3rd party cpu cooler you can only mount 1 fan on the window.

COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:attracts a bit of fingerprints.

Pros:It has 5 5.25 inch drive bays which I plan on using all of them, nice airflow, and looks downright cool.
Comment:
I absolutely love this case! It has all the amount of drive bays that I'll ever need. Also has great cooling, really nice aesthetic and really handy handle for carrying. Tool-less design is great as well. The only con I can think of is that it does attract a few fingerprints, but they can be cleaned with a very used microfiber cloth.

Black inside, MoBo standoff template, effortless to load difficult drives and burners, lots of fans ƒ x 140mm, one particular by 120mm), nice styling. Fans are a bit loud, cool very properly although and its not an annoying noise. A fan speed control would be a welcome addition. I like being in a position to turn the LEDs on or off but as soon as you replace fans with a thing a bit quieter will take some re-wiring to keep that feature as these fans have separate cables for LED leads and most do not. Gigabyte GA-X58A-UDR3 MoBo the leading SATA ports are right at the intersection of the tough drive and five.25" bays so gets a bit tight. I see folks complaining about sata leads for hard drives receiving in the way of the side panel, I'm fairly certain the cables are supposed to go on the backside where they fit just fine ࿺ degree or straight) and access is super uncomplicated with removable panel on that side as well.

Good layout, all black, lots of fans, leds appear cool in the fans, front USB is nice. Not a great deal space in the back to hide cables, the case fans dont plug into the mobo so you cant change the speeds. I like the case but its has some troubles but it makes a superior build.

Incredibly quiet compared to my stock AMD cpu fan, sturdy carrying deal with, black interior, good tool-less style (mostly, see below), red LEDs, great airflow, fantastic cable management (behind motherboard), eSATA Dim LEDs (replacing the LED-less leading fan and making use of a red-LED PSU helps), I do not trust the tool-less expansion card mounts with heavy cards, I just utilized a 6-32 screw. Whilst this was my initial total construct, I have swapped parts from quite a few instances ahead of, and can vouch for this case's relative top quality. I undoubtedly advise it as an excellent budget gaming case.

I appreciate this tower. There is a lot of room for all the components that I required to put in. The LED fans are good but what produced them excellent was the button to turn them on and off. Tool-much less and solid contruction makes working with this tower a dream. Drives just slide in and lock into place, perfectly aligned with the front cover. The handle on leading of the case has been surprisingly beneficial. I can effortlessly carry the machine with one hand. Cable routing could have been much better but zip ties had been supplied that allowed me to strap every little thing down neatly. No reason to to subtract an egg for that.

Comment:
It's a great case, the fans have been operating excellent, and the tough drive slots are amazing. Quite easy assembly and I appreciate how it looks. The front panel is excellent and I have a total of ten two. USB ports now! The clips for the PCI devices aren't too great, 1 broke with out a lot pressure at all and the ones that stayed intact didn't hold the devices incredibly well. I nonetheless needed to use screws to secure every little thing, not a big deal though. Also, the energy to the rear fan was fairly difficult to find and connect. It was in the back of the case behind the backplate for the motherboard. Only cons had been only enough to take off 1 egg, they weren't that major of a deal. The rear case fan didn't even matter due to the fact 3 days following acquiring the case and everything hooked up I picked up a liquid cooling system and took that fan out anyways. All in all, it's a great mid-sized case and looks great.

Cons:the handles ontop are a bit excessive

Pros:Able to accomadate up to 5 fans without moddingtoolless installationsFan Filters!!!
Comment:
Bought this case for my first build and let me tell you its amazing. Quite a bit of thought has actually been put into this case. Installing pci cards are a breeze without using screws, and the fan filters are great bonus especially the full front has its own filter. Another bonus is installing the hard drive, ssd and dvd drive, all you have to do is line it up with the rails provided and just pop it in amazingly easy. The only problem is the the handles ontop are a bit excessive but this is built for lan parties. Otherwise amazing case.

In spite of other reviewers complaints about the tool-no cost installation, I had no complications with it what-so-ever even though it's produced out of plastic parts.Nice sturdy deal with.Case appears solid. Best fan was so close to the motherboard I had to cut the corner of the frame of the fan off to be able to plug in the CPU power cable. They weren't truly necessary, but the directions included had been complete garbage. One line in 10 distinct languages accompanied by 1 picture for every single factor. Example: "How to replace case fans" and a drawing pointing to where the fans had been in the case. This was the 1st PC I've ever built, I've replaced just about every single component in other computers but never completely built one. The greatest difficulty I had was with the fan becoming in the way, which I'd say is a minor difficulty. Also, for the three fans, there are 4 molex connectors (one for the red lights?) Anyways, the top fan's connector is tied up in the back behind the motherboard and depending on your PSU you may well have complications reaching it.The fans have no speed control because they're plugged in with molex connectors, but run silently enough that it shouldn't matter.

* well thought out style* quiet fans* some cable management or tie down provisions on the back side of the case.* 4 front USB connections* "tool-less" hard drive and CD-drive installation is really nicely completed* connectors for front panel ACྜྷ(or HD audio) & USB connections are "standard" Let me explain, all my older circumstances these connections are all individual wire on "jumpers" that you have to plug in individually. Hence for two front face USBs you had to plug in 8 to 10 individual wires. This case has it as an integrated connected that's probably "keyed" so that you can't (or it's tough to anyway) plug it in wrong. This saves a wonderful deal of time. * Built in fans and LED Control calls for molex conntectors. Rather than use the standard fan power/controller plugs provided by the motherboard; the fans and front side "LED control" demand 4 Molex connections. Due to the fact of this, I can't use my motherboard's bios to monitor or control these fan speeds.* I live in a dry environment and have for years experienced static discharges when touching my pc situations with no ill effects. This case, nevertheless, my systems locks up when you touch the case or plug in front side USB connects and you have any amount of static charge built up. When it "locks", the screen will blank and the fans go to high speed. This never ever happened on my prior build with my Antec Alluminum case and I suspect, some grounding issues with this case and how the front side connections are handled in regards to feeding static charges back to the motherboard. Perhaps the CM folks can shed some light on th I purchased the case mainly simply because: cost, very good critiques here at Newegg, four front USB connections, cool style, right size for my desk. The only reason it's not 5 stars are simply because of my static discharge problems and the reality that the fans aren't powered from the motherboard.
