Bought 2 stick of this when upgrading to windows 7 64bit.I had 2 sticks TWIN2X2048-6400C4 currently. Installed these non C4 with no problems.Went into BIOS and set them at C4 timings like the older sticks.Booted no troubles at 4-four-4-12.Seems to be exact same stuff as the C4 version. Not significantly headroom for overclocking at 4-four-four-12 timings. Oh well, I am just satisfied they do 4-four-4-12 stable. at standard timings it is nevertheless not the greatest for overclocking.I have black edition CPU so I can raise core with no escalating ram overclock. So its limitations don't hinder me.

Mine was the 5-five-5-12 timing, and I have it operating at 4-four-four-12, even even though it's also overclocked from 800MHz to 912Mhz (or about, going from memory). The memory has been stable at that for 16 months now, in no way any difficulties or crashes.NOTE: There is no guarantee on the speed and timing of modules beyond what is stated 齠MHz); on the other hand, provided my good results I believe this RAM have to be Extremely stable at stated specs. That is why I post the extra overall performance I eked out. Now they sell 5-five-five-18 timing, which is a shame. I'd give it five stars if it have been nonetheless the precise similar item, but this is what my order background links to. Nevertheless, Corsair tends to make very good RAM, so I'll give 4 stars to this updated version.

Good for a PC2 6400 Dual Channel SetupReputable, does what it says. Runs a little hot, not too poor though I'm not as well surprised that this item is nonetheless available. I've had this item for three years and they nonetheless run great.I was going to take off an egg for the lack of suitable heat displacement, but these have got me by means of a lot!

Easy to install. Followed uncomplicated directions inside package and was using my computer system after initial commence-up and then a reboot. I took two 512's out and installed two of these. I checked on a different web site to make positive they had been compatible. I moved up from 667 MHz speed to 800 MHz on my Dell 8400. Worked great. So simple I'll get a different pair devoid of the rebate. None I am not a computer gamer but I nevertheless believed the heat spreaders were cool. I nevertheless have to get my rebate.

Comment:
This is great ram. It isn't fantastic ram, but it is absolutely worth acquiring when it is on sale. At complete retail I don't assume I'd opt for it even though. I had to knock off an egg on this one because of some incompatibilities with specific motherboard styles in dual channel configuration. Verify your motherboard documentation for memory connected problems with your bios as nicely as known board incompatibilities. Don't let my cons listed place you in fear. This is fairly decent ram. It isn't best of the line, and the added heat spreaders are honestly largely for cosmetics. There are much better rams, but this does its job fine.

Works with ASUS P5N-E SLI motherboard I found my CPU heatsink is receiving dusty. 1 GB memory maxed out with WIN XP SP3, virus scanner, other trivialities and a laptop or computer game. Paired this with older Corsair memory 2 x 512 MB sticks for 3 GB total memory. Need to final a while.

Posted quickly; overclocks decently for low-priced ram. Bought 2 of the 2x1024 packs to run Win7 on an older EVGA NF680SLI mobo. Operates quite effectively to give older components a new lease on life. None so far. It's great to be able to freshen up old components to close to-new performance for incredibly small funds.

Incredibly easy to install, went from 2GB to 4GB with a noticeable difference in speed and overall performance. Really affordable but efficient upgrade! Can run games at higher resolution with no choppiness! Maybe just the rebate in the form of a credit card? No actual cons to speak of... I have the Dell Inspiron 530s (Slim), so I was concerned with compatibility concerns since of the low profile design, but I had no concerns.

Stable and worked the appropriate way from the moment of installation None Possessing just completed the construct of a new method, and getting similar expertise with the very same modules in another process, I can say that I've had no troubles with performance. I literally installed them, tested them and they have worked flawless due to the fact. I do not overclock or tweak setting otherwise, so encounter has been based on standard overall performance.

Comment:
This memory performs excellent with our five PCs running XP-pro 32bit, with AMD64 x2, and two gig, with Asus M2n motherboard. PCs used for organization with multiple programs open at once, three-four monitors on two Nividia cards. For this use this combo is good, operating for a couple of years, but now that its so cheap I can't resist getting far more, so on to my open question to any professional willing to help. The Corsair website help is clear is stating that if I use 4gig with XP 32bit, the machine will see 3.25gig of ram, then it alludes to the possibility that the OS, video card, Bios might use some of the rest.My question is, with this in mind, do I get an advantage with 4gigs with the three.25 observed but some of the rest employed as above, or, is it far better to use 3 1 gig sticks and a single 1ǘgig for a straight 3.5gig in ram? In the second case, clearly the pair would not be matched? Have had only fantastic results creating 12 PCs working with Corsair memory, AMD CPUs, and ASUS MBs, every little thing operates out of the box with only 1 MB rma'd and by no means a bad memory stick. No gaming, just Office, charting and so on, these builds constantly run quicker than comparable units built by producers.
