I bought this ram quite some time ago, and it nonetheless performs great. No complaints in the slightest. I've added more ram to my technique since purchasing this, but even on my personal server (that stays running 24x7), it has remained entirely steady. none

Have frequently enjoyed and shopped Corsair items and this was no exception. Top quality goods, but see cons. Rebate is a sham. By the time the ram arrived and documents could be obtained there was insufficient time to qualify for the rebate. Even although the rebate submission paperwork and was accepted and confirmed. Will nevertheless be three months for the rebate outfit to inform me that now it is invalid. I will never by a different corsair product.

I've had this set for over two years now and it nevertheless runs great in my Pc. Nope By no means bothered to upgrade to DDR3, the price:performance ratio just genuinely wasn't worth it. We'll have to see how DDR4 does later this year/early subsequent year.

Affordable, solid. I employed these sticks in two builds for loved ones members. Each worked flawlessly and are quick. Combined with a reasonably low finish dual core Athlon (be-2300 and x2 5000+), Foxconn mobo, a decent video card, and Windows XP Qualified, each computers fly. The owners are Very delighted with the efficiency. 2 GB probably isn't sufficient for Vista, but that is not a unfavorable on the Corsair memory. Just know what OS you are purchasing and buy enough memory for the OS. two GB is plenty for XP. I actually like the Foxconn 770 and 780 motherboards. They recognized the Corsair memory with the precise timings, and I had zero difficulties.

Both sticks worked, box was simple to open. Extremely poor packaging. AMD did a wonderful job attempting to safeguard it, but Newegg's packaging was just awful. I ordered components to construct a complete computer system, all the components were in 1 box minus the case, their concept of packaging was a couple of small pieces of balled up brown paper, absolutely nothing was secure in the box. Box also came quite a lot busted open. I've spent thousands of dollars of Newegg, but I'm taking my company elsewhere if they're not going to make any work to get my components right here in excellent condition.

Comment:
Paired this with yet another 2 GB of this precise identical model of RAM I purchased a couple years back (RAM that is nonetheless working). Stuff is rather speedy, reliable, and puts out quite little heat. It doesn't do the dishes? Most likely not your leading-o-the-line hardcore gaming RAM, but its was fantastic adequate for my purposes (mainly playing Rift). Stuff under no circumstances dies, either. I have another pair tat went via a motherboard that caught fire, then sat in a box with stuff piled on it for two years, and nonetheless performs.Corsair appears to make anything that functions, and then stays with it. May well not be the fastest RAM out there, but its dependable. Retain it up Corsair.

Seems to be identical ram I purchased three years ago. I added two gig of this memory to give me a total of four gig. Similar timings as the other two I currently had. I set the timings 5-5-5-12 and completely compatable with the older mem. Under no circumstances a dilemma with any Corsair memory, have had dozens of their memory and never a difficulty. none significantly more affordable than three years ago

Lately I had to replace my old and really dead pc. I ventured into the globe of Dell but it didn't take extended for me to suspect that 2GB of RAM. The Corsair came and the sticks had been (pardon the pun) a snap to get in. Now go to the cons but it is a story with a joyful ending. No where on any site, NewEgg or Dell, did I see any reference that adding memory could slow the RAM. It went from 800MHz to 667MHz. I complained to Dell and they mentioned that they did not assistance memory they had not tested. Here comes the punch line, AND Do Read It, Dell was selling the exact similar Corsair memory that I had purchased from NewEgg. Serial number, specs every thing was the very same. Exhausting my price range for some time to come I bought 2GB a lot more RAM from NewEgg. My machine is really content with its 4GB of RAM running at 800 MHz! It was a long and weird way to attain what I wanted. Now does any person desires some ProMOS 1GB sticks?

A single stick worked Put in these two sticks of ram which was on the recommended list of my board. They worked for about an hour then screen went black. Attempted to reboot and not even a post beep, just a black screen. Took 1 stick out and booted appropriate into windows. Attempted other stick in very same socket and only the black screen. Running with the good stick although waiting for new ram to come. Absolutely not Corsair. Have to send back to Corsair for replacement mainly because I cut off upc symbol to use for rebate. These will sit on the shelf as a backup unless I can sell to 1 of my friends. Will neve purchase Corsair once again. Manufacturer Response:We are sorry you had this problem and will replace your memory ASAP. Please make contact with Corsair if we can be of any help in the future.External Link(s): Corsair Contact Page|

Common efficiency ram when they work one of the sticks went bad My laptop or computer started crashing all the time following I set up this ram. I ran memtest and it reported that the ram checked out fine, but I at some point pinpointed the problem to one of the two sticks and have had no much more trouble right after replacing the poor stickI didn't believe that I would have any troubles with this ram due to the fact of all the excellent critiques, but I did.
