Excellent product-excellent price and runs great and is quiet in my PC-has plenty extra wires for additional wires for more add-on's which is very much a plus. I bought this to increase my power for the video card I had bought also from tiger along with more ram-All are working excellent and TIGER DIRECT ROCKS AND IS THE BEST!!!!

Obviously it works for linux (Mint 6), but it is also quiet, and excellent cable length for a full ATX tower case. For a Single Vid card machine, 450W is all needed. Very readable manual. Fit perfectly in my case (Centurion 534).

Very quiet, which was a high priority because it is being used in a desktop. Replaced a working power supply because of the noise. Gave it a (4) for features because the only thing it was missing was being modular. Wanted the Corsair because of it being highly rated by the industry in magazine reviews.

I bought this PSU for my Dad's new computer. GREAT addition, and it does the job!! I can barely hear this thing running inside the case. Will be buying more Corsair Power Supllies soon.

Ordered vx450 Wed deliverd fri Installed In 15 min.along taking out old Antec 350w power supply the vx450 is a little quiter the loudist fan in my computer is my cpu fan that came with my mobo a month ago the vx is a faaaantastic power supply.

bought this for my dad's somewhat budget build, not a gamer at all so he didnt need mega amounts of power. can't say as to how reliable it is; will post in forum if anything goes wrong. for now, i am more than satisfied with this purchase.

wow this power supply is awesome i had NO idea how much faster my computer can go especially browsing the internet just by increasing the wattage of the power supply.....picture load so fast...and the power supply is super quite and the casing and the packaging is impressive.....am glad i bought this power supply and i also bought the corsair memory stick which are awesome too....if this company keeps it up its going up in the industry....

Very good performing power supply. It's quiet and provides very steady output. It's actually a 500w power supply so it can handle a bit more than what it's rated for. It's also provides 33A on a single rail so you don't need to worry about splitting the load between devices so as to not overload any rails. Efficiency is very good and a good product to use in a budget build, don't skimp on the PSU, less headaches to worry about.

I got it much cheaper on a sale when the dollar was good. I'm not sure if it's worth $100 without the sale price, but still a nice strong psu.

My system is not particularly power demanding: E8400 e 4ghz 1.325v, ASUS P5Q Pro e 2000FSB stock volts, HD4850 undervolted (both 2D & 3D), 1x 7200RPM HD, 1x DVDRW, 4gb (2x2) PC-8000 DDR2 e 1.9v, 4 case fans, this power supply, and there was no other addon cards besides the video card. It was 100% 24 hour prime95 + 5-pass intel burn test stable, the PSU didn't generate much heat at all.One day while playing a game my system randomly turned off and wouldn't turn back on, after testing in another machine and with a another power supply it turns out the Corsair PSU had died on it's own - no thunderstorm or anything was happening, all other computers (even ones on the same wall outlet) were perfectly fine.It didn't even last 3 months. This is the first power supply I've owned in 10 years of computing that's ever died on me, and it's also the highest quality one I've ever owned. I have a few well-aged computers running on cheap PSUs that came with the case which have been 24/7 overclocked for 3-5 years, not a single one has died yet.

So far, so good! My HP a6223w desktop came with a low 300W and it couldn't power up my 8600GT + Phenom, so I ordered this baby, and it's nice. Thanks Corsair and Tiger!

if you are looking for the best value for your money, this is it!! don't be fooled into thinking that you have to spend a lot to get a lot. sometimes this is true, but in this case no!

Just installed this last night and had it running a folding machine all night. Installation was easy, no problems seen yet, and the included cables are long enough to reach anywhere. It would have been nice if it was modular, since now I'm stuck with 10ft of cables not being used.

Bought this to replace a dual 12V Rail Enermax EG495P-VE that has failed t3+years. A Back up Enermax EG475P-VE would also not power my system. The system is stable with the Corsair CMPSU-450VX and it's single 12V Rail. This review was modfied by poster @ 06-27-08 09:57 PM

guess i got one of the broken ones, high pitched noise coming from it, gotta exchange it. Other than that, it is a very good psu, very efficent, cant really comment on the silentless, as it is very noisy right now

This is a great power supply that should be able to power almost any system with 1 video card, with out overclocking anyways.

So far so Good. You Get What you pay for in a Power Supply. Runs Cool and Whisper quiet. Allowed me to install and run Dual DVI Video Card without a problem. HP had installed a wimpy 250W that rattled and whirred. It would'nt power up any video cards I wanted to use. BUY THIS UNIT and SAVE the agravation of a cheaper unit.

This is an amazing PSU. It runs all of my hardware that other 450W PSUs could never even dream of powering. Many people might be turned off by the low wattage level of this PSU, but Watts aren't everything. This can probably outperform many other higher capacity PSUs. One problem I has was the fact that this PSU only has one 6-pin connector. My graphics card needed 2 6-pin connectors. Fortunately, included with my card was a 6-pin to dual molex connectors. Problem solved.

i was very impressed with this power supply. powers my system flawlessly: e8400, 8800GTS 512MB, GA-DS3L, 2GB DDR2, 320GB HD, DVD-RW, X-fi gamer. the psu is also really quiet.

Just an all around quality power supply for a low-mid range system. Using one to power an E4300, X1950 Pro and a few drives and have never had a problem. All of the cables are sleeved which makes for easier cable management as well as just looking cleaner.
