My sons and I have been creating our rigs for a though now obtaining a very good time experimenting with overclocking. We performed a lot of study and went with these sticks. With no a blink, we were in a position to OC an i7-950 to 4.two just setting the bus speed and maintaining the memory speed to 1710. Did not play around with voltages or anything at all. For fun we amped it up to four.four for a boot and the system performed fine with prime95. These sticks are strong and I highly advocate them. I replaced some OCZ Gold 1600's that were worthless to even attempt to overclock. The Corsairs are the way to go. None so far. The fins on the heat sinks rise about 2" above the motherboard. For these with a substantial cpu cooler that may cover your memory slot(s), verify the clearance. I am utilizing all six of my slots with no issues.

Fantastic quality RAM that runs as it must. None. Had to tweak the speeds on the new motherboard (X58 SLI3 EVGA) to get it to run the full 1600 8-8-8-24, but not a con on the RAM.

I have not ever received faulty Corsair memory. It is trustworthy and high good quality. Seems like solid heat sinks. It booted the initially time, and allowed to modify to XMP mode in Bios to take benefit of added speed. For the cost, I couldn't be happier. Not a con for me, but it seems if you want to do some extreme overclocking, may not be the ram to decide on. Popped in these to replace 6 X1 GB regular Cors*ir XMS on a As*s Rampage III Formula. Instantly recognized all 3 sticks , pulling 1800+ Mhz with a couple of tweaks at 1.52V and was able to drop my IOH to 1.1 V decreasing the temps there which was the aim to begin with (from 60C idle to 45C) fantastic stuff. None Seamlessly integrated into my method . 6 GB is plenty for any gamer that overclocks and tweaks but I like the option of adding an additional kit down the road if required. The larger the density of memory modules, the tougher it gets to O/C and I beleive these are the excellent compromise.

Absolutely nothing what so just about every. The set I got would not run at stock specs at 1.65v would not even run at 1333. I expected more from corsair. But the gskill pi series rather. They are the exact same cost but A lot Considerably superior ram. Tighter timings and lower volts. All around significantly superior ram

Compatible. Runs rapid, runs stable. Functions wonderful with ASUS x58 Sabertooth on XMP. None. Swapped out a set of G. Skill CL9s (they ought to have been mismatched due to the fact there had been misreadings all the time with each a Gigabyte and Asus mobo) for these guys and haven't looked back.

None, purchased additional. No challenge running spec. Strongly recommend setting up this memory in the Bios all manually and you wont have any concerns running 1600 stable with out a hitch. It will overclock, but genuinely not any reason to do so, it will last for numerous years. Its quickly and rock solid stable.
