This item works excellent and really stable. I run it in tri channel as I have the 6 gig match set and thinking of getting another 6 as well. If you know how to set up your memory clock and voltage settings this memory will function exactly as stated and with extream consistency and stability. No cons except I wish they came with heat spreaders. For these on the fence due to other none tech reviews by other individuals don't worry this ram, you will not be sorry and if you have challenges getting it to run at the right setting mainly because you are not familiar with how to set up the appropriate clocking and voltage on your technique, the organization will speak you through it if you get in touch with them at the tech support desk, incredibly useful folks and friendly!

Properly, it works. No matter what settings the motherboard gives you. I cranked it up even higher than 1600 with no challenges. Other than getting to specify your timings in BIOS with no reference of what numbers to enter except for the 1st 4 values. You have to work the timings and speed manually as the SPD is written for one thing in line with regular spec memory 񢃀 is not but a totally authorized and supported spec). The issue is my motherboard offers like 20 timing values, and nothing but the initially 4 are specified in the memory package. Does any individual have a total spec list for this memory?

I began with 3 sticks Ɩ GB) and now I have 6 sticks ྫྷ GB) running at CAS 8 up to 1700 on this board. Super stable and runs Memtest all day with no an concern. I have not pushed it to CAS 7 since ASUS and other people claim populating all the memory banks require looser setting and most articles show no distinction in genuine world performance between CAS 7,8, and 9 anyway. It is also nice thse are low profile due to the fact even substantial circumstances get fairly busy with lots of drives, big memory card, thick energy cables, and so forth.Interestingly Win 7 is a bit more rapidly in standard use which was not expected. I bought the added memory for Adobe Premier CS5 video perform. None Can not be happier with Corsair's memory. Quick, really stable. Had to set memory timings and speed manually in BIOS of ASUS P6T but no biggie. Operating at 1.64 volts no dilemma with an Intel core i7 930. Just immediately after post to surfing the net requires 15 seconds... no joke. By no means see the HDD hitting the page file (which is only about 120mb and auto-managed by win7) Wonderful stuff in the appropriate process! none Have heard other individuals state that the timings had been messed up when auto detected in mobo. Manually set them to advertised spec along with speed and they perform flawlessly. Prime 95 stable for 12 hours and have not had a single single challenge. Been making use of Corsair XMS memory for years and am Nonetheless pleased by the overall performance and quality of their memory kits. Lifetime warranty isnt negative either!

brand, price compared to similiar RAM specially with rebate, timings, new p6x58d-e powered up with zero problems not truly a con as other individuals mention,on asus p6x58d-e and possibly other boards the ram does not come up initially as 1600mhz with 7-8-7-20 timings. It comes up as 1033mhz which is the regular clock for ddr3 and configures automatically in the bios with 9-9-9-24 timings. You need to have to manually go into the bios and inform it 1600 mhz with eight-7-eight-20; on the p6x58d-e it was a breeze. nevertheless constructing system so haven't actually ran this, but i did mess about putting in winxp temorarily and had no troubles concerning the ram

easy set up, right away recognized, low latency The memory is recognized incorrectly. CPU-Z sees it as 8-7-8-20, not 7-8-7-20. They say to send it in and get it replaced, like I can be with no memory for the time it takes to do that. The fix is to change it in BIOS, which functions fine. Not confident if performing this is technically overclocking the memory or not, but it functions. I purchased 6 gigs and in the end I will obtain 6 additional gigs of this similar memory when I upgrade to Adobe CS5 - if Adobe ever figures out the video card circumstance.

Quick, assists with overclocking my i7-950. Runs in my motherboard at 1684; I ran it larger (around 1800, forget the precise #) for a though. SUPER stable; motherboard (Rage III Formula) recognized XMP with no dilemma, adjusted voltage/timings perfectly. Plug and play, set it and forget it. Pricey. But if it means my CPU can go more rapidly, points get completed faster- that's worth some $$$. That's the only con I can believe of- I'm fairly impressed by this RAM, I've constructed several systems- this was BY FAR the easiest to get going. So far, I have no need to have for much more than 6gb, but if I did I would acquire much more of this RAM. With triple channel, it appears like some motherboards don't deal well with numerous DIMMs when going above rated speeds- i.e. it's less complicated to overclock if you use 3 DIMMs, rather than 6. I have three, I got my CPU to 4. and RAM is running at 1684.

So very good it produced me come back for 6GB much more? I bought the very first 6GB of RAM, then I purchased another set for 12GB. Most people today will under no circumstances will need that considerably, but for what I do I can push about 11.5GB usage when I max it out.

The timings,The value,The brand Fundamentally, When i got this ram for my laptop or computer (see specs bellow), i was all excited to attempt corsair again (been running Kingston, G.Skill, OCZ). I have heard some horror stories from my buddies, and you know what. THEY ARE Accurate. If you can not find a motherboard that is absolutely compatible with this ram... Then DO NOT Get. I have spent hours messing with the timings, voltage, and a lot considerably far more. But as soon as I even launch a game. The comp crashes. Some occasions i can get the games up and running for a bit. Then 5 - 20 minutes later, the game will lock up my laptop completely. (I know what your thinking) This is a clean install of W7 X64 Ultimate. For this ram to even be stable in my laptop or computer, i have to run it @ 1066, and 1.7v, Thats not poor, BUT thats not the purpose i bought the ram. I bought the ram due to the fact i wanted to run it @ 7 eight 7 20 @ 1.65, but I am unable to do thatI will continue to get it stable, But, If i am unsuccessful, I will return these suckers Intel Core i7 930 @ three.two w/ Corsair H50EVGA X58 SLI LECorsair XMS3 6gb (Returning for OCZ)XFX ATI Radeon 5870320gb + two 1TB hddsCooler Master Haf

No crashes, appears good Very same problem as user below, The SPD profile was messed up, This is a corsair rep Yellowbeard on the forums:If you would like to get the memory replaced, use the link to the left to request an RMA. The memory will still run at spec even even though it does have the incorrect XMP profle. The choice is yours and of course, your warranty is nonetheless valid for any future matters. So there you have it, you have to manually set it unless you got lucky with your modules. Corsair has made this difficult on me. I had a terrible time with Dominator 1066's and now this good quality manage issue. Not too big of a deal but nevertheless. Could be my last merry go round with them. I hate to say it result in it seems like this xms3 is great stuff.

Low latency settings SPD information appears to be incorrect. The ram is advertised at XMP 1600, 7,8,7,20, but the SPD data on the module is XMP 1600,8,7,8,20,41,2T. Which is correct? This is not the initial time I have seasoned this concern with Corsair memory. Of course this challenge is effortlessly remedied by inputting the data you want in the bios. I am operating perfectly on an ASUS P6T Deluxe V2, I920 C0, Timings 1603,7,7,7,20,1T at 1.64V. Good Ram
