Fast upload and download. Speedy recognition on new computers. Stays nice and cool to the touch. Like being able to use eSata and USB. Metal casing is powerful and durable. really excellent cost for an external usb/eSATA drive. Mine has a Western Digital drive, which I have been really satisfied with more than the years vs. maxtor or seagate. Drive gets a tad bit warm if you are continuously reading/writing to it but otherwise it is really quite cool when idle. USB is incredibly slow..but its USB. I have a challenge with the AC adapter. It is desigend to be slim so it doesn't take up the space of a wall wort, but it overlaps the next outlets just enough that you can't use a 3 prong plug in it. The LED as everybody has mentioned is incredibly vibrant and annoying. Initially drive was DOA (the tough drive itself was bad)newegg RMA'd and the subsequent 1 operates. Great price, lots of storage. A buddy also has this drive and has been pleased with it, so that's why I bought it. Did not get eSata cable, stand or resource cd. Also, box packaging was various. Newegg had me call Cavalry, and they are shipping the missing stand and eSata cable. She stated resource cd had drivers for Win98 and a users manual, but that the user's manual on the web was greater. I believe Newegg and Cavalry's service was valuable, and when I get the accessories, I'll be happy.

Cost, size and accessories. This thing comes with every little thing you will need! I already had eSATA on my MoBo as nicely as a secondary card, but it's good that this comes with a cable/plate to create 1 if you don't already have one. I like the size of this, the speed on eSATA is awesome. I read some complaints about it finding hot, but I transferred 500GB to it all at when and it hardly even got warm (seriously). I also used it to play/watch some 1080p h.264 encoded films with totally no hiccups. For every thing this comes with, you can't beat the value!! Haven't discovered any however, but I've only had it about 1 week. At this point although, the only factor I can assume of is if it dies on me... but I would think that was a defect additional than craftsmanship.
