Moves lots of air, the aluminum repels heat away from the personal computer instead of absorbing it like other plastic coolers out there, the incline is seriously ergonomic and simple on the wrists, and I could seriously go on and on. I got it prior to the value went up! the fans kinda cheap, but like I mentioned in the pros, they move tons of air so, not truly a con just a small nit choose lol Way to go Cooler Master!

*Fans are quiet*Design*Movable fans *The fans airflow is super low*Quiet isn't often greater Not certain if there is one thing incorrect with the fans that came with mine but compared to my nearly two year old laptop cooler I'm trying to replace which has the power plug problem being loose and barley stays on. It still offers 2 to 3x much more airflow then this does. It will hover a piece of thin laptop or computer paper right off of it. This cooler barely floats the middle of the paper and doesn't move it at all. My old cooler would preserve my left palm area cool in the course of gaming on my inspiron 1520. This cooler doesn't. I just wish my old cooler was nonetheless being produced. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Client,We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. The fans had been developed to be level noise vs efficiency. The difference in temperature may not be noticed right away, but with a couple minutes, the airflow inside the laptop will drastically boost because of the added intake the cooler offers. Hard drive temperatures will be lower and, if applicable GPU temperatures will be lower as properly. If you would like to troubleshoot the placement of the fans, please get in touch with us through the Live Chat link beneath.Respectfully,CMUSA Customer Support.External Link(s): Live Chat| RMA (for replacement of fans)|

Cons:small fans

Pros:strong support, good ventilation and very quiet.

I bought this one for cool my old laptop which used to overheat when I demanded serious work to it. Now it doesn't shut down when i'm working. This cooler provides enough ventilation and has two big advantages:1.-You can place the fans whenever you need them2.-The cooler base can be used to protect you laptop when you are transporting it

Cons:Some sort of swivel plug would reduce cord wear down the road.

Pros:- Light - Comfortable even on lap- Low profile hook shape wraps around notebook in bag- Sturdy clips to hold fan on base- Reconfigurable.
Comment:
Lowers my 2006 MBP temp by 20 degrees (she's hot)Reconfigurable fan clips are sturdier than expected, great that the fans have the metal grills on them. Also, theydon't take up usb port with throughput plug. Macbooks fit perfect on it, and the rubber grips hold it in place!AWESOME 10/10!

Being able to place the fans more than the lappy fans to aid get much more air in is the greatest ever. I'd devote hours seeking at measurements and fan location, rpm, cfm. Now I don't have to anymore. All this with the CM name is a win win. Plus the usb plug male and female so you don't loose a usb on lappy whilst cooler is in use. The fans tend to wine from time to time. Have to hit them or a thing to knock them back in spot. Usually each time I move it and at times on its own. I'm lookin round to replace fans but there 80x10 and only location to uncover them is below difficult drive cooling. Paired this with my XPS m1530. Greatest ever. Once I got the fans where I want them. I zip tied the excess cord up and tucked between fans so there's adequate cord to plug in and I don't have cord everywhere. Its only used at home anyways. Now if they make this for 17in lappys. I'd buy a different. I know it says 17 but I want true 17. Not 8in wide and they say fits 13-17in. c'mon.

The Cooler Master U2 Notebook cooler does specifically what it claims to. I saw a drop of 9 degrees (celsius) when employing GPU &/or CPU intensive operations. My HP notebook utilized to get uncomfortably hot for the duration of those operations, but with the cooler underneat it remained just warm to the touch. the two added fans dropped the temp an extra 6 degrees for a 15 degree distinction. I do not discover I genuinely need the fans, nevertheless; so I generally run without having them for quieter operation. The fans can get a small loud in particular if there is no ambient noise to distract from their sound. The U2 can also be utilized as a "lap" top stand for your notebook. Though it works in a functional way - the hight was a small awkward - an added "lip" on the front would have created it slightly more stable feeling. Also - my 17.three" notebook (widescreen) does overlap the stand/cooler by 2 inches - so be forwarned that you will want to guarantee that your laptop placement is even on the stand to prevent any stability concerns. Growing the width of the base by 4 inches and adding a front lip to the stand to present a slightly a lot more comfy angle for the stand would make this a five star device all the way. I can't genuinely use it as a lap stand unless I put my feet up - but this has been accurate of practically every laptop stand I'd tested - it would merely be nice if a firm like Cooler Master took that final step to make this not only a rock solid cooler, but a phenominal design as nicely.I plan to buy a second one for my roommate - as it functions perfectly nicely.

Movable fans are a Enormous plus for this cooler. Permits me to place one fan below the gpu intake and 1 under the cpu intake. I noticed a significant distinction in between this cooler and the 1 I was using before. I suggest this for both the cost and for the versatility of the fans. And the fans are quiet, I have to preserve putting my hand below the mat to feel the air flow to know they are on. Also, appears like you could possibly add yet another fan to the mix as well. Making use of the tower screws and what not.. :-) None as of yet (and most likely none ever).

+Movable fans genuinely set this cooler apart when I regarded as buying some thing new. Having the ability to put these fans directly on my warmest spots has paid noticeable dividends to the touch. + Aluminum build keeps cool and is solid, contrary to the quite a few plastic coolers on the market. + Rubber gripping does its job to keep the laptop from sliding all over the place. + Additional USB slot on plug comes in handy. - Rather odd-shaped to move around. When I bring this to a buddy's property, it doesn't leave me with much wiggle room in my laptop backpack. - The USB plug cable is rather short. I plug into a port on the back portion of the side. If you have a big machine with access only on the front or front side of your machine it could be a tight reach. Serves my purposes well for keeping the laptop on a desk for prolonged usage. If you are the kind of individual who consistently has this on the go, this could not be the very best fan for you. I don't game intensely anymore but have gone by means of a five hour sessions in the final week or so and the cooler performed nicely throughout. Movable fans truly sold me and I was not disappointed. For my wants, the cooler is ideal. You ought to assess yours, however, prior to jumping in as some could be disappointed by some finer points.

quickly movable fans with no tools, band that holds it to the laptop, appears to be very good good quality, quiet 3rd fan would be good, fans could be a bit bigger Just got it and it is a big improvement over the massive box store versions. I spent just as much on these versions, but this is a much greater item and I think it will last longer than the 3 months I get out of the others. Lots of good characteristics, but the fans could be bigger or including a 3rd fan would be nice...

Pros:Great build, like how I can expand it with more fans, and move the fans around for optimization. Relatively quiet.

This tray is silent, looks stellar, is incredibly well built and is very cheap for what you are actually getting when you compare the price to other products... especially at box store prices.this tray keeps my mothers laptop very cool and at an excellent angle to type for and she couldn't be happier. Added usb ports and metal built are only pluses. Can't rate this product highly enough.you would think others would be able to get something so simple as a cooling tray this right, too.

This lightweight fan is effortless to carry and operates quietly most of the time. The angled style is great for typing. The USB adapter has an opening so I can plug yet another device into it, saving a USB port. The fans make a small noise occasionally, but a slight tap commonly quiets them.

Cools extremely properly.Adjustable cooling. Fan began vibrating really bad following 3 months constant usage. I will almost certainly buy a different 1, but I am extremely dissatisfied that one of the fans started vibrating very loudly following 3 months of usage.Good product but in my case it became unusable immediately after three months so I give it a 1 out of five stars. Cons:USB cable for the fans is a little shortCould use rubber pads on the bottom corners as wellA little small for 15 - 17" laptops, really more geared towards 13-14" laptops

Pros:Moveable fans are great, and are quite easy to adjustAngle for the cooler is perfect to rest your laptop on LIGHT WEIGHT, the cooler is surprising light for its size and easy to carry around
Comment:
The cooler is great, It lowered my laptop CPU and GPU temps by about 5-7 degrees.Only wish that it could fold for easy storage, but hey, for the $15 (PM'd) I paid for it, its definitely a great deal, especially for a metal cooler.

Comment:
Really great cooling device, and perfectly fits my HP 14" laptop. The capacity to move the fans is actually vital, in particular given the variability in processor/HD/Memory placements on several models/brands. It's quickly dropped the outside temps 10 degrees, and is far better under load. Also, the ability to stash your laptop inside the cooler makes it remarkably straightforward to carry with no adding a lot of dimension. Also, the angle is excellent, and the many holes permit added airflow, even if not around the fans Only con is minimal, but I'm not a fan of USB powered devices. Given that it's meant to be portable, it's a minor difficulty, if one at all. That stated, at least it is dual pronged, such that you can still make use of the USB port with a different device. Terrific cooler, definitely functional, and rather portable. The grips for holding the laptop aren't the best, but they are functional. The only actual oversight is the grips do block the ability to move the fans to the leading most part of the cooler. It's not a real problem, but I would've moved the fans further north if they weren't blocked. Lastly, and this is usually a tradeoff, the fans dont move an excess of air, but they are ultra-silent. I'd be willing to take a little more noise to cool a little far more or at least have an selection to, especially given my propensity to push my laptop, but it's really a minor difficulty.

Fans are high excellent, and you can move them depending on where your laptop requirements cooling. Makes a important difference when running intensive applications, nearly 10 degrees cooler. And its really quiet, specially compared to other models. Rubber feet like to slide off of the bottom, a bit annoying, but absolutely nothing large.

Superb. Perfectly-sized for my 15.four" laptop, I envision a big machine would stretch over the edge (although this may possibly not be problematic). Movable fans are a terrific feature. Angle of tilt is comfy and in all probability ergonomic. It's a pain to transport the fans. I like to use a sturdy laptop slip for transport and leaving this device at my campus desk.
