modular style, works with server boards that require EPS12V none so far I like this thing a lot. It was 1 of the couple of PSUs I discovered that have the correct rails to power my Asus Z8PE-D12 motherboard that calls for the EPS12V connector. I keep my computer running continually and this PSU handles it properly. |

really like the modular design, works wonderful. it is effortless enough to get rid of the large fan so you can clean that dust out. I've had for nearly a year with out troubles other than the cable concern. SEE CONS! WARNING!Even though this supply works good, the unit is mounted at the bottom of quite a few towers. This does not allow you to place numerous devices on the sata energy cable even though there are numerous female ports on every cable mainly because they are backwards! They really should have supplied a couple cables with reversed ends.Does anybody know exactly where you can get reversed cables with the exact same male socket for the energy supply finish?For now this remains 3 eggs Case: Antec 1200 full tower |

Stable power, quiet, modular cabling, reliable Not truly a con but be conscious of the size and make sure it will fit in your case. Bought this unit for my development/gaming rig about a year and a half or so ago (possibly longer) and it has worked incredibly nicely over that time period.Q6700ǞGB DDR3/GTX280ǘ 1TB HDD/Win7x64/HAF922/HX1000This machine is a workhorse, operating about 4-5 virtual machines at any given time (Workstation 6.5 and much more recently 7.) The computer system is virtually never shutdown for any reason and only rebooted for updates. The PSU is a bit overkill for my setup (non-SLI) but it's been quite reliable for me, as opposed to my two other OCZ PSUs.My wife's PSU (an OCZ) just last night after much less than a year of use. Her machine doubles as one more VM server and I'll be replacing the failed OCZ with a Corsair HX750.Extremely satisfied with the HX series so far. |

Warranty, Customeer Service, Modular. Appears to hold it own when gaming. Nicely, hopefully the fouth 1 will work. I had this for practically a year, then it went out. Corair replaced.. Thank you Corsair (seriously). Then soon after a 6 or 8 month period, the PSU gave up the ghost once more. Corsair replaced that one. Installed replacement, no difficulty. Shutdown and went out of town for a week. Booted up, surfed and then to bed. Next morning, the personal computer was up but all fans, except the PSU fan was not working. Wow, the pc was hot. I hope I did lose anything. Waiting for Corsair TechSupport for my newest case. |

I bought this HX1000 for my system so I wouldn't have a screaming 500W running in the background. My system doesn't need more then 500W to run but the HX1000 running at 500W is nearly silent. This power supply has never failed me over the year I have owned it and I don't think It will.The modular design makes a computer case look so sooo good and well lets face it the power supply itself looks amazing.I would recommend this product to anyone that doesn't mind paying the extra coin for quality. |

Awesome power supply that comes with everything you need to have to get up and running. There are two cons. As soon as of them Enormous!!!ş. Initial, their cable lengths run on the brief side...Š. Since their cables run on the brief side, DO NOT decide you can just use your existing module cables. Even if they fit. I did this thinking there would be no harm in it. It fit the plug perfectly, and appeared to be a simple plug and play. Then when I turned on the power it fried all the peripherals. And I do mean all of them. Three challenging drives, two optical drives, floppy drive, and a fan speed controller.So be warned. Use their cables ONLY as chances are fairly good that if you use yours, it will fry your stuff. It's not worth the risk.I build computers all the time, and wish I could say this was just some mistake I made... but I know with 100% certainty that employing my own cables on this power supply is what caused this dilemma.DO NOT USE YOUR OWN CABLES OR IT WILL DESTROY YOUR GEAR !!! All that being stated, now that I have new peripherals and a clean OS installed... this power supply is super really and is way more juice than my 1GB GeForce 9800 GTX will ever want. |

Keeps the inside of the tower orderly, and allows for better airflow. |

Pros:I'm not so sure I can list them all but I'll try and keep it short and sweet. TRI SLI certified, and yes it can run 3 gtx 280's overclocked along with E6850 clocked at 3.71ghz. 7 LED case fans and 3 non led fans, 4 usb devices, 2 HD's, 1 burner , 4 gigs of DDR3 ram l1900 mhz. And to think Nvidia doesn't have this listed to run TRI SLI gtx 280 is a shame, it does it no problem. I played crysis for 4 hours straight at 2560 x 1600 resolution, straining those video cards and I had no lock ups or freezes whatsoever, I had to call it quits and go make dinner. Comes with a nice storage bag for all your cables ,and I didn't even use them all. Cables are flat which makes it easy to route through your case. Modular , Use only the cables you need for your set up. plenty of zip ties to keep things tidy, even comes with a case sticker. 1000 watts of continuous power l 50 degrees celsius.(This baby has more under the hood than what she shows) OK, I said short and sweet. If you're looking for a top quality high end psu, look no further. This PSU will power even the most demanding rig. I would recommend this to anyone .It powers my setup and doesn't even break a sweat. Can't wait to watercool my QX9650. Awesome PSU Corsair. |

Excellent mixture of fixed and modular cables. Add only the ones you want. 1st 1 DOA. Š nonetheless operating (so far). Its long, so check your case depth. (fits nicely in NZXT Apollo Mid Tower) An otherwise excellent design tarnished by poor High quality Control. What happens to my mail in rebates for the parts I ordered , whilst I wait for the RMA method to be completed? บ on this PSU and ฤ on my Gigabyte video card! Can't check for DOA's if u can't energy up. If its DOA u can't cut out bar codes for rebates.
