Corsair CMPSU-1000HX 1000W ATX 24PIN ATX Modular Power Supply

This has got to be one of the best power supply units I have ever owned. Runs very quiet and stable, handles anything you throw at it. If you're looking for a well built power supply unit, this is it.

Most powerful PSU I have ever used. I power an overclocked i7 920 along with 2 GTX 295 in SLI. It has plenty of juice leftover. I love how it's modular, so cable management is awesome.

Another top of the line item - the HX1000. Its price is huge as well, but it sure does deliver. The quality is terrific and it's backed by a great warranty. Of course, it is then again overkill for a lot of things, so this is purely for beefy bragging rights.

damn is all i can say..and stable is another word i will throw in there as well..11.4 and never above or below..nice and cool after pushing a gtx 295 playing cod 4 modern warfare for 6 hours..its my baby and will continue to impress me for a long time to come....corsair rules and Linus rocks at NCIX..he helped a ton with my water cooling system...this thing comes with amazing powder coated thumbscrews as well so no need for a screwdriver...lots of extra hookups sata 2 and such...pci e cords by the ton..nice bag.sticker,nice everything.see you on my next honest review

Okay for starters I got this thing and hooked it to two power supply testers to be on the safe side and got back a bad -5V sign. I looked at the motherboard connector and saw it was missing a pin. Well I shipped it back to tigerdirect and get back a new one and did the same thing and got the same result and same pin was missing. I then called Corsair and learned that the -5V they left out on purpose said it was not necessary and the pin missing was the -5V and it was also on purpose. Anyway, I basically got a good power supply and sent back a good one without know it. So don't be fooled by the -5V and pins being missing in the connectors it's normal. Well after getting it in my computer I turn my computer on and the Video Card speeds up and back down and up and down and the CD ROM's flash back and forth and nothing comes up. I turn the computer off and back on everything works fine. Well I turn it back off and back on and the same cycle repeats itself over and over. Go figure!

This PSU is fantastic. Ive assembled dozens of computers, and this one is definitely the best supply ive ever owned. I hesitated for a long time because its so expensive, but I have no regrets at all having taken the plunge. It comes with a nice case for all the spare modular cables, and because im not pushing the 1KW consumption level, its VERY quiet. I dont ever power down my machine, and after days of running, its cool to the touch... my old supply generated a lot of heat which hurts the whole machines airflow. Anyone considering this power supply...you wont be disappointed.

Well this is the most powerfull PSU I have ever used. I am using it in a system with a I7 920 D0, 2x GTX275, a 8800gt for physx, A soundblaster card, 2 dvd burners, 6 Hard drives, 1 SSD, and 2 case fans. The quiet fan is a nice plus, and the modular cables keep things nice and neat. I love the fact that they colour coded the cable and have the mother board 24 pin, and 8 pin cable hardwired in, as well as 2 6+2 pin PCIE connectors. The cables are very long to help with set up in large cases. I am using a Stacker 830 currently so its pretty big.Its rock solid and I rarely hear the fan come on very strong since it stays at a low speed until you get over 500 watts draw. This is one example of why buying a biger PSU is a good thing. If you get a lower power PSU it has to run closer to peak output which heats it up more making it louder and less efficient in some cases. This PSU is at its most iffecient at about 50 to 60%. The downside is its size. I had to cut away the tabs for the top fan mount in my case to get this massive thing in.

Appears very well built. Has more than enough cables for anything you might need. Replacing an Ultra 1000 that petered out after 3 months.

The Corsair CMPSU-1000HX has met, or exceeded all expectations and contributes minimal heat, if any, to interior case temperatures. The number of modular connectors provided are sufficient for almost any configuration. Recommend buyers compare physical dimensions against the mounting provisions of the target case.

Worth every dime. A solid power supply that pumps out clean and rock solid power for whatever you can fit in a computer case. Seriously, you will run out of room for things before this sucker runs out of amps to power them. The cables are nice looking, heavy duty, and very high quality. Has enough for everything.

Had to upgrade power supply because I got a new GPU and decided to go with something that I wouldnt have to upgrade for awhile. This power supply is AWESOME! Went in flawlessly and have had no problems at all. Thanks yall!!!

Great power supply. Gives the connections and power that is needed for today's multi graphic card setups. The modularity also keeps the case clean and install only what you need for wires now with room to expand in the future.

Offers lots of power for all my current and future needs. Most all cables cables are modular so my case stays clear of unused cables, allowing my components to show clearly thru my side window. Fit into my Antec 1200 perfectly without making a single ajustment.

I built an Ultimate LANBOX with 2 of these beasts in Quad SLI. The 1000HX PSU from Corsair supplied enough juice for my Quad SLI system. I used the new Asus Rampage Extreme GENE(mATX), Thermaltake LANBOX case(with alluminum handle), 6GB of DDR3, Core i7 920(oc'ed to 4.4GHz). I used Swifteck watercooling products, 240mm rad, apogee GTZ cpu waterblock, hooked these bad boys up to the loop, they work great. I have 5 Noctua fans that I painted cause brown is the ugliest colour. Quad SLI FTW!!!

This thing is powering, MSI eclipse X58 mobo, Core I7 940 oc from 2.9-3.6, 6x2gb OCZ 2000mhz ram, GTX 295 for graphics, 8800GTS for physics, 8 140mm fans to cool this beast down. What attracted me the most were the 40 amps per 12 volt rail, most only supply 18-20 per rail. Very nice PSU, and its modular. I have building gaming rigs for 5 years now and this it the best PSU I have owned. Get it, you wont be sorry!

Upgrade from Ultra XPro 750w Now i can rest easier knowing I have enough power to run my 2x9800gtx+,QuadCore,3x230mm fans,4xHDD's,etc....

Bought this for my new i7 920 build. Plenty of connectors and did not have to add any extensions while running cables in behind the mobo plate on the Cooler Master HAF. Highly recommend this power supply.
