Respectable timings and low voltage make it a strong selection for any Sandy Bridge setup.I utilised it in my new i7 2600k create and everything went off without a hitch. Passed memtest on set up and gave me a WEI memory score of 7.eight, stock. The heatsinks are a small tall and may not fit with wider CPU coolers. On boot it was detected as 1333MHz by default, but enabling the XMP in my BIOS bumped it up to 1600 as advertised.

Uncomplicated to get to specified speeds and timings. Rather big heat sinks which can get in the way of other factors. Fantastic stuff. No greater than any other brand IMO but nonetheless very good :)
Elani Rating: Review Date: 07/19/12	Corsair CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 Vengeance 4GB 1X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Memory Comment: Runs smooth at factory stock 1333, overclocked it to 1600 with timing and volt improve but only runs stable with the cas latency set from 9 to 11 and games like bc2 and gta iv get choppy. I feel its more essential to have low latency than higher speeds from this practical experience as they run excellent at 1333. Slight improvment over the three 1 gig sticks of 1333 economic climate 1.five memory its replacing. Broke the hollow plactic heatsink from pinching it while installing, my undesirable but it dosnt get warm or anything so im confident theyre there mainly for looks. At least it wasnt an open box this time thanks newegg. Hope overclocking dosnt void the lifetime warranty not that im interested in "refurbished or factory reconditioned components" anyways. Nonetheless waiting for my rebate from my corsair f40 ssd btw...

The voltage is incorrect for the now recalled six series chipset boards. Based on the diagnostics of the DP67BG board, Intel told me to replace the board, then the i7-2600 CPU. Lastly they found the voltage of this was 1.5v and the board requirements ŕ.35 V DDR3 SDRAM DIMMs (New JEDEC Specification)". NewEgg's response to attempting to RMA this right after 34 days, all of which was ground shipping of the MB and CPU, is to sell this memory on e bay. Thanks NewEgg!I now await Corsair's possibilities and look at a non working technique. Manufacturer Response:I am sorry but there has been a misunderstanding here. 1st, 1.5v is the JEDEC specification for existing DDR3 memory. Intel publishes and adheres to this specification. Please see the link beneath, page 11, section 1.2.1. Intel's own documentation shows this to be appropriate. That board calls for 1.5v memory. I bought two of these separately, on separate occasions for a dual channel setup to use in a new asus p8p67 pro. fired up the 1st time and picked up as DDR3 1600 correct away. I even tightened the cas timings with no altering something else for the ram and it's nevertheless working like a champ. Very pleased. High profile, so if you're going with an oversized cpu cooler, you may well not want this model, fits fine with my 212+ in push/pull although.

Using two of these (purchased individually to save บ) in a sandy bridge program.Following a few days of tuning it in with memtest it looks like mine are stable at 1640MHz, 8-9-8 timings at 1.56v ྸ hour run). none, they operate as-advertised I'm trying for low timings instead of high frequencies, so I can't say what they'd best out freq-wise at if I relaxed the timings a small. Hopefully my data will assist others make their choices.Of note, my DIMMs are very sensitive to tRAS (middle number) alterations. 8-8-8 is a no-go, even up at 1.7v. I'm not terribly let down, seeing as tRAS changes don't result in enormous efficiency gains, plus the memory very easily does what they say it would ƙ-9-9).

When playing Battlefield 3 I used to have to sit there and load for about 5 min before I got in a match. Once I put this in I was in in about 30 seconds instead.

No problems getting them to run in dual channel. As well, they have successfully passed 8 iterations of memtest86+ so no problems there. Performance is as expected.My one disappointment is in the heatsinks. To be honest, they feel kind of cheap especially when compared to the G.Skill Tridents I had before. In comparison, these feel thin and flimsy--closer to Ripjaws. The glossy black look didn't appeal to me as well. It should be noted that I'm not saying they are ineffective at doing their job. Only time will tell for that.
