Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Comment:
I am filmmaker, and I care as well a lot about sound accuracy. These are amazing. Extremely neutral which makes them excellent and pleasant on any source. The mic, I am told from individuals I speak to, is clear. You can hear each small soundIncredibly comfortable To get sufficient bass you have to listen to it loud (otherwise all the juice seems to go to mids and highs) or have an amp.An amp is virtually a requirement. Really, if you don't will need the mic, I would get the Razer OrcaIf you will need a mic I would get the Razer CarachiasThey are just as comfortable, sound just as fantastic, but need significantly less energy to run.For me, I like alternatives and use them all alternately with my Sony MDR-7506 set

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Comment:
The headset is very comfortable (minimal break-in period). Make quality is great, specifically the pleather headband covering and the memory foam earpads. Sound quality is what you would anticipate from a top-of-the-line gaming headset. Minus one particular egg for the mic quality. Even though it's not negative, I anticipated a greater mic for the cost of this headset. My Sennheiser Pc 151's had a larger good quality microphone, but this headset nevertheless blows that one particular out of the water. If you do semi-professoional recording (publishing youtube videos, for instance) then I would recommend a headset with a slightly far better microphone. For the normal gamer who is mainly on in-game voice chat or clients such as Vent/TS, then this headset is great.

Comment:
The headset is comfortable and comes with pleather pads so you can switch out the cloth ones.Mic performs fine for vent and other voice chat programs. Explosions in-game are also weak for the cost of this headset. The Bass is flat and sound good quality is not where it need to be. Wish i went with a different gaming headset, this pair fails to reside up to my 2yr old ุ headset.

Comment:
-Very comfy, even for extended periods of time-Extremely good sound quality, even with onboard audio-Nice extended cable -It would be good if the in-line volume handle had been a tiny greater up on the cable, but it's really just a minor inconvenience I was at a local retailer on my lunch break a couple of weeks ago choosing up a few issues, and was preparing on buying the Razer Carcharias headset. It was out of stock and I was running out of time, so I just grabbed this one devoid of realizing something at all about it. That's surely not a habit of mine; I don't like gambling on liking some thing I know absolutely nothing about. Thankfully this headset turned out to be awesome! So far it appears to be a incredibly properly-produced and high good quality item.On a side note, do some price tag comparisons prior to you buy this headset. I got it for บ less than it's listed right here.

Nonetheless remarkable, microphone operates good! One smaller con, maybe just me. The ear pieces are a bit also large for me. With leather head-pads on they can come sliding on and off my head, which can get annoying. Nevertheless identical, great headphones.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons:none.

Pros:Good value. Comfortable.
Comment:
For the price (I payed 49.99) this headset is well worth it. It's nice and loud with decent bass and extremely comfortable. The mice also works well. I've read some reviews saying wiring is not the best inside and one ear can go out but I haven't experienced any problems over using them often for three months.

Pros:ComfortableMic really clear
Comment:
The cord for this product is really shaky. What I mean by that is the cord was fine for the first 2 months but then all of a sudden the sound in my left earcup died out.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons:none.

Pros:Awesome headset. It isn't too heavy, everybody who said that is just being picky.Great product for the price.
Comment:
I've been reading up on the reviews and what not. They aren't too heavy, they fit fine for an average head. Sound quality is spectacular, and you really don't need a sound card for this headset. Learn how to control your settings on your on-board sound. Blasts good quality bass and enjoying the headset very much while I write this review.

Comment:
This is by far the most comfortable headset I have ever owned. The mic. is crystal clear, and the sound quality general is amazing. It's a tiny pricey, but in this case you get exactly what you pay for. Corsair have done it once again. It doesn't cook me breakfast.

Cons:Cord twists and tangles way to easyPoor cord quality?

Pros:Great soundOver ear design
Comment:
All in all this headset is fantastic. 2 months after getting my first set however one ear went dead and stopped playing sound and was only remedied by positioning the cord coming out of the earpiece JUST RIGHT. Needless to say I threw these in the garbage and got this headset in the USB version. I don't know if it was because I was hard on them and the cord was damaged because of tugging or what.....either way it still has excellent sound quality, i guess they are just a bit delicate.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons:Squeezes head too tight.

Pros:Ear cuffs feel great, and can switch off.
Comment:
Overall satsifactory product. As corsair isn't well named for headsets. As expected for a cheap headset. Sounds are distorted when sound is cranked up too high. Can go about 55% before sounds starts to flicker and buzz out. Also headsets are too tight around head. Feels like it gets tighter the longer you have them on.

Pros:Sound quality is great for the priceMic quality is goodVery comfortable even for few hours. impressive.
Comment:
One side died after 5 months. Look like well know problem with the wire that is very fragile.Corsair is a poor customers service for canadians, takes 10 days to have an RMA and I have to pay shipping from Canada to California and this is gonna cost me the same price that I paid for the set. no way. no thanks. I didnt buy the product for a 5 month use.obviously my last corsair product.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons:Not DD5.1, that requires a soundcard to produce simulated surround. Bass is a little low even with boost but adequate for casual gamer like myself.

Pros:Nice sounding stereo headset.
Comment:
Thought I was buying the 5.1 surround, don't be fooled, do your research before you buy. I have Xonar DG sound card which simulates surround on a stereo headset such as this. Not bad but I've only had it a couple weeks so I need to tweak it a little more. Haven't used the Mic yet, can't comment.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons:Plastic, cheap feel to it. Seems like it will break soonVery little bassVolume control placed really low on wire

Pros:ComfortableTwo pairs of ear padsKeep most of the outer noise out
Comment:
I bought these headphones for $30, thats all they are worth, not more. They have the same quality as my almost 10 year old head phones, which I spent about the same amount of $ on. Except the bass on these headphones are less. The build seems to be all plastic and it seems that from the 3 or so moving parts they will break soon. The volume control is too low on the wire.

Comment:
I bought this headset on a whim, and as far as gaming goes, they have far exceeded my expectations. Great sound, great price (I got them on sale for 30$), and best of all they don't hurt my ears after an hour of use. These are extremely comfortable headphones.

Cons:-poor low end response-not very sensitive

Pros:-cheap-comfortable-well made
Comment:
Bought these for cheap ($30) for gaming. I think they are fine for gaming but music not so much. Comparing the HS1A to my 595's makes the 595's feel like they are worth the premium that they cost over the HS1A... for music that is.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons:Not the best for those of us with small heads.volume/mute control a little too far from the headset.

Pros:Light.Good build quality.Two ear pad material choices.Folding.
Comment:
Great for what they are Better for gaming then music. Grabbed these when they were on sale and don't regret it. These combined with my X-Fi create  a virtual surround environment on par with a G35 with clearly defined positional audio. I recommend these if they are on sale and if you have a big head.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Comment:
-Comfortable, with the choice to modify out the microfiber pads for pleather ones (tho I haven't tried the pleather ones yet)-Wonderful range of sound for gaming-Over the ear headset blocks out most ambient noises so you don't have to listen to your neighbor's dogs barking whilst you play (just a personal issue)-Headband is well padded and the cans are adjustable in length. Everyone who has tried this on has mentioned it was comfortable-Mic sounds crystal clear: my friends all told me I sounded entirely unique (for the much better) when I bought the HS1A-The cord is lengthy and produced out of some kind of mesh, nylon maybe, so there's no fear of running it more than with your chair and busting the cord open-Got it on sale! -Value? I guess if you don't get it on sale then it's kind of high priced, but if you do a lot of world wide web gaming like I do then it's an investment that's entirely justifiable -Get it now Dan!!

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons:-Breaks easily-Uncomfortable around the ears after a while.

Pros:-Good price when on sale-Relatively good sound quality-Good noise isolation
Comment:
These headphones have good sound quality compared a some of the other headphones I've owned, provide good sound proofing, you can't hear much of the ambient noises with these on and people around can't hear what you're listening to either. Now, the bad stuff, I wear glasses and I feel these to be uncomfortable after a long period of time, mainly around the ears, when I say "long period of time" I mean at least 4 hours with these on. The overall build quality feels cheap/weak, especially around the hinges, quite often do I hear a small "crack" sound coming from the plastic frame after I put these on or off.First purchased from NCIX in March 2011, the left hinge broke after 4 months of uses in June, it was only held together by tiny fragile plastic pieces and so I had to RMA these directly to Corsair and pay for shipping down to Fremont, California ($24 in my case). Got the replacement pair in July and it decided to break again in December, the microphone doesn't work at all and no sound come out of the right cup if I even dare touch the cable. I may be just unlucky, but both pairs broking after just about 4 months can't be normal.
