Incredibly extremely quite quick on load times Was a small pricey, I got this on sale for 贐 so that isn't too poor compared to what it was originally, and with this tech still kinda 'new'. I use this just for my OS, and a few smaller programs and it works so quick, I am quite impressed with the function. I will undoubtedly suggest this to any person.

Its rapidly did a clean install on my notebooker acer4820tg boots up in 25secs the second i press power button on the laptop. I configured every thing running windows 7 64bit household premium, office enterprise, league of legends ventrillo Heroes of newerth on it with all updates on each the os office and all the games And it only utilised 17gb! I hear its only wise to use 80% max of ssd. either way i have about 30gb left to put on this drive. May well put bfbc2 on it. modest capacity Theres a small tweaking on an ssd but it only took 5minutes to do.

It's Corsair branded. It's an SSD.Significantly, considerably faster than a 5400 RPM difficult drive. It's not as quickly as I imagined it to be, but I knew the data speed spec going in. It's still plenty rapidly for it's new owner. My dear old mother bought a new laptop, and I provided to give it an upgrade. Windows boots significantly quicker now(even with all the bloatware-which Mom wanted). She didn't even use 30gb of space in her last laptop, so this will suit her for now, till next upgrade. She almost got sold on an i7 laptop by a 'big named yellow brick and mortar store' salesman but it was properly out of her spending budget, so I helped her settle for what she could afford, on an AMD dual core laptop that was not as rapidly. Right now, she happily referred to as me from that very same store. Just to tell me, that her laptop is now quicker than that i7 laptop she initially wanted. Even right after upgrading her new laptop with this SSD, the savings was numerous hundred dollars.

efficiency, included 2.five to 3.five tray may be handy for some price, even with discount, DHL hand off to USPS for the free of charge but long way property shipping replaced 7.2k drive in CQ60-215dx, made a huge difference even to low end laptop.clean install of Win7 x64 N from USB drive, no complications.

Corsair Nova Series CSSD-V64GB2-BRKT 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons: Intermittent failure after 60 days.

Pros: Fast, easy installation
Comment:
I had this drive for about two months. I loved it up until that point. There were impressive performance gains. Then I started experiencing lockups, forcing me to do a hard reboot. When I did, the drive would be gone from the BIOS. Then, sometime later, it would magically reappear again and be fine—nothing was changed. I went through a list of recommendations (chipset updates, BIOS tweaks) as well that the usual routines (ensuring connections ect). While I was doing this I discovered a number of other Corsair customers on various forums having the same difficulties with earlier models, which introduces the possibility of a design flaw. One fellow was on his third replacement and still having the same problems. I’ll have to see what my replacement does. If I had the option, which I no longer do because the 30 day grace period is past with NCIX, I would swap it out for a different brand, just to be on the safe side. Hard drive failures can be among the most costly if you happen to rely on the machine affected for employment. Not only do you lose time, there’s risk of losing data/work/money as well. Hopefully mine is an isolated case.

Cons: where???

Pros: pretty quickquiet

Bought this, well because I wanted to see how much quicker my system drive would get with one of these. Benchmarked on identical set-ups (XP Media Center, AMD X3 2.3gHz, 4GB RAM)The sustained reads with CrystalDiskMark are supposedly twice as fast as my 7200 32 MB spinner(206 MB/sec SSD vs 118 HDD if you believe the utility results). Sustained writes are no different (105 vs 110). The real performance gains are in the 512k (162r/102w vs. 48r/68w) and 4k (26.8r/8.3w vs. 0.6r/1.6w)It IS faster, but not how I thought. XP boots about 5 secs faster (vs 7200 32mb HDD), and FFox launches about 1-2 secs faster, but in general the day-to-day performance gain is nothing like the provided by moving from single core 8MB/HDD cache to triple core/32 MB cache HDD. Aligning the thing was a bit of a pain, and I don't feel like un-/re- installing and checking to see if it makes any difference. In any case, my numbers are close to the provided specs. It is nice and quiet, and does provide a boost in performance. The prices keep getting better. I would probably buy again, but with more reasonable expectations next time - it is not instant gratification computing just yet, but I am doing less waiting.
