My son was complaining about load time for his new RAM sucking on-line pc game. He was operating with ƒ) 256 MB chips of Corsair RAM. I dropped in ƒ) 2 GB Corsair RAM chips and now he is loading his online games so rapidly that he is typically the initial one particular in. We have a cable World wide web connection, so the distinction was definitely the RAM upgrade. I was not in a position to combine the ƒ) new Corsair 2 GB RAM chips with the ƒ) original older Corsair 512 MB RAM in the two open bays. All chips were the identical series Corsair. Due to the tremendous cost savings, choice, and superb service, I will forever a lot more buy all my of Pc parts from New Egg.

Um.. It shipped fast... thats about it I purchased 2 sticks, 1 of the sticks tends to make the system fail to post and the other can't retailer any data on it, it becomes corrupt, Won't even let me install XP, it fails to load the files everytime with this memory. In the course of action of RMA, I'll tell you this, I'm going with a different brand this time. Corsair = for two out of the 2 I bought.

I bought two sticks for a total of 4GB. They operate fantastic with no complications Windows XP and Vista can only manage 4GB of total memory. That includes video memory as well as other memory, so your technique will only use 3GB - 3.5GB of the 4GB, if you are running Vista or XP.

Functions great in the HP EX470 Mediasmart server. Not problems, just find the directions on homeserverhacks.com. Read them cautiously and look at the pics. Type of high priced. Rates seem to have gone up lately. There seems to be some debate on what to alter the pagefile size to, or if you need to even adjust it at all when you upgrade to 2 GB. I identified a microsoft recommendation that says a superior starting point is to set the initial size and maximum size to 1.five X the quantity of memory. In this case it would be 3072.

I needed to upgrade the HP EX470 WHMS from the measly 512MB that it had to one thing far more potent. The custom motherboard has only 1 slot and this piece of ram cant be discovered any less costly than this from such a trustworthy manufacturer. None that I can mention.

n/a n/a To cover this as soon as once more as so many people have not done their investigation. Windows XP and Vista is not limited to three.x GB of RAM...only the 32bit version is. This is an inherent concern of 32 bit. Applications can not use more than 4GB of RAM. (This is not addressing server class OS's).

My second pair of trouble cost-free two gig sticks of this trouble totally free, great Corsair Ram. If your box requirements this spec ram, it can't be beat! I think it is known as "value" just so Corsair can discount it from their regular high cost and thereby compete in the marketplace! There is nothing "discount" about the efficiency of this ram at all.... I paid half these days of what I paid last year for the identical RAM! That definitely isn't a con, although, is it? I adore it when technologies advances these days....year old stuff surpasses what I was applied to in the old days when I was building boxes. I no longer have to play the "state of the art" catch-up game; and I am not sacrificing any efficiency or value. I have been a loyal New Egg customer pretty much considering that the starting, and I maintain coming back. Their overall service can not be exceeded, in my opinion.

Took five minutes to install and my method started up perfectly and recognized the RAM with no complications. This may well sound ridiculous, but it took 4 days to get here. Not that it's too long (it's in fact what was estimated), but typically their items come inside two days.

Cheap. I now have an additional module for a future application. My HP EX 470 residence server would not boot with this ram. I now have an additional module for a future application. I ordered a 2 gig G. Skill 667 ddr2 module from the Egg and it works like a charm in the HP EX 470. I'm certain this ram is very good, just not for my application.
