I tossed it in an HP m7077c (XP Media Center), and it recognized just fine. Wonderful bang for the buck. Oh ya, and it was easy to get out of the packaging (no cuts). None for the memory, but I hate operating in HP computer systems. It would have been fine if I had two" hands or 10" fingers.

Backwards compatible to my P-4M Dell 4150. Just not prepared to spring for a new laptop but! Incredibly pleased with the distinction in between 512MB and two Gigs in a 2. P-four oldster. Worth the expense of an upgrade. High priced for old technologies as compared to state of the art stuff out there. Had it not worked, there would have been a re-stocking charge. This 667 pc5300 2gb stick is a excellent deal. the price tag is decent and the portion is remarkable(not super wonderful but wonderful). its not important gaming ram but still worth it. i was a small nostalgic about acquiring this and wondered if it would wreck out on me later on. but i decided to give it a try considering that it had so very good testimonials. operate rite out of the package, no challenges and had it for about 2 weeks. detected on the bios of my ecs geforce 6100 rite away and ran perfectly on memtest86. no problems so far. not confident but i may be planning to upgrade from 3gb to 4gb with this ram. not that i can feel of so far. wished it had heatspreaders and could be even more affordable so i could get one more pair. wished it had heatspreaders...=[

Low-cost!......This memory is awesome!.......does what it supposed to do........It is overclockable with the correct motherboards.........I got mine running @ 800 mhz with some tweaking and adjusting. It is not self installing. This is a Really Very good solution!....I highly reccomend obtaining this if you use DDR2 ...... Excellent enough of a filler till you choose up a new DDR3 board. Ordered two sticks. A single stick was faulty, causing page faults and memory 'read' errors(bit mapping errors). More or significantly less low-cost. But additional high priced then present DDR3 costs. If you're delighted with your setup, and don't really feel like getting on the DDR3 train this memory will in all probability do the job.

Properly, It didn't self replicate, and it was straightforward to fix my machine =) I installed 2 stocks. My machine crashed during start up. Immediately after restart it ran for a number of hours, then it crashed. Then it wouldn't start off. I pulled RAM and replaced it with origional OEM. Now no probllems. I have a low cost gaming Rig; Nvidia 8600 gs, 4000+, 300w, hp1708, 2gb, 250gb. Plays Crysis med difficulty =) but need to have 4 gb. Actually, just require it. got RMA quantity straightforward. I'm confident replacement ram will be fine. Newegg rocks!

Corsair is hands down the ideal RAM about. Even their valueram is wonderful - Reasonably priced, rapid, and trusted. Can't beat a great deal, and you can't beat Corsair. Not totally free.
