This is my 2nd set acquire getting assembled a Asus P6T motherboard a couple of months back. Undecided whether or not to go less costly but decided last moment to stick with what is nearly a guarantee against troubles. Had a likelihood a while back to get this 6GB kit ฤ less costly but paid for procrastinating. Completed this new pc construct with Newegg's "open box" P6T V2 Delux motherboard, a XFX NVidia GTS 250 all purchased via newegg. Remaining parts bought locally (Cooler Master HAF 932 case (贡 immediately after rebate) and a Intel i7-920 (赧 +tax) and got this up and running for a little over 迀. Never ever ever been able to get any Corsair rebate even when I follow the directions to the letter. Went thru the motions this time as soon as again and I would be amazed if I get this ฤ rebate...Corsair are you reading this?My "open box" motherboard was shipped from the newegg California warehouse even though the video card and memory kit came from across the river in Secaucus, NJ. I am spoiled because in the majority of instances I get deliveries in 48 hours or much less because Secaucus is across the river from where I reside. No much more Bing cashback which is also kind of disappointing. No price matching due to the fact the processors, cases, and other items ocassionally are less expensive even when you have to pay the local taxes I typically base my Newegg purchases soon after reading a lot of of the feedback and reviews posted by other people. This is the 1st time I've went with a Newegg "open box" motherboard and I am not disappointed...just make sure you quickly complete your build as there is a 30-day Newegg "no questions asked" warranty. In the future as I either complete additional pc builds for close pals and relatives I will absolutely go with the "open box" motherboards as the savings are considerable. Just keep in mind all you get is the actual motherboard and absolutely nothing else which is kind of disappointing as it would be good to have had the case backplate, original owners manual and a driver CD but I can live with this reluctantly due to the fact significantly of what I want is supported nicely on the ASUS site. |

First got this ram to go with my Gigabyte X58A-UD3R and i7 950 about 9 months ago, then about 3 months ago upgraded to a i7 970 and got this ram again to total 12gb, and it works great. perfectly stable and an alright overclocker. I usually run it at 1750mhz with stock timings and the processor at 4.2ghz and it works fine. |

Cons:- Showing some hitches now and there when computer has multiple programs running at the same time and when CPU is 100% in use (by hitches I mean freezes)

Wonderful Compatibility with Asus X58 motherboard.Price!!! none I bought this kit about a year ago for an i7 method I was building. Recognized the RAM with all the correct sppeds and timings with no issues. It has run rock solid ever due to the fact. Thanks to the costs of RAM falling via the floor as effectively as Newegg providing an additional discount, I was able to obtain another kit to expand to 12GB for an insanely low cost. The year 2010 has been great for memory prices. The large supply has caused memory prices to tumble as they were pretty high for a long time. But at the beginning of 2011, prices will begin to increase a bit more as the supply will be lowered. Other than that, it's a great purchase for the price! |
