Purchased five of these, 4 for my computer and 1 as a gift to my mother-in-law who got ripped off by Dell when they didn't incorporate the added ram she paid for, shame on Dell, but amen to newegg for possessing a wonderful deal on some superior top quality memory, now her pc is more quickly and I finally got 4gb of ram in mine. Operates excellent on my BIOSTAR 740G. I use 128mb of this ram for video memory and it runs fantastic at 1280x720p. No heatspreaders but this issue doesnt get hot at all. Good ram. Get Crucial Ballistix or Ballistix Tracers for your gaming/OCing rigs! This ram is great sufficient for common use and is genuinely stable!

Its low-cost Mine died after 1 month of use with NO overclocking...my final set of RAM from OZ by no means died...though distinct mobo. Will not obtain from Important again...2nd set of RAM that died inside couple of months

Dont be fooled by what other people are saying how this is not for gaming or anything. It works Extremely nicely for gaming or any other processes. Just since its low cost and old doesnt mean its bad, there are a lot of newer sticks that it can maintain up with. None, ive had for over 2 years now with no issues, often ran each and every game properly and processes effectively too.

Affordable.Does it's job nicely. None. Good memory for a budget create. Utilized on an XP program. Works just as quickly as my method with 3GB. Don't truly need a lot more than 1GB for XP unless your performing tons of stuff at the exact same time or opening numerous tabs in IE. Got down to about 100MB accessible with 6 or 7 tabs open. 1 was playing music, which took the most (about 150MB). 128MB is shared with video.

My ex-wife installed this with minimal help over the phone. She had never removed a computer cover previously. She installed it without difficulty, it worked and continues to work well. No hiccups and it matched the existing, odd number, DIMM cards to provide better speed. I used two of these to upgrade another computer 1.5 years ago and they are still working well. i Highly recommend Crucial DDR memory cards for upgrades. Have used them with 2 Vista Machines and Windows 7 for upgrades, they install easily and perform well. Systems are noticeably faster.
