Works very good. Packaging was quite rude and recommended a employed or return unit.I got no softwatre of manual. Registration at CyberPower went typically. I have my doubts about the one I got. Manufacturer Response:Thank you for taking the time to give feedback concerning the CyberPower CP1500AVRLCD. Primarily based on the knowledge described, this seems to be an challenge involving this distinct model getting shipped only in its retail box without an added brown cardboard shipping box. The retail boxes that CyberPower supplies to its partners are not made to be employed alone as a shipping box. It functions nicely with compatible energy supplies. Battery capacity is enough forthree-5 minutes. LCD screen which displays the power consumed is nice. 1) We know that motherboards might be incompatible with certain memory or certaint CPU. etc. For me it was a surprise that UPS might be incompatible with your power supply. Yes. It might! Modern advanced energy supplies may possibly have so-referred to as power issue correcting (PFC). Very good price for 900 watt ups. Appears good, this is the 3rd a single I've purchased from newegg and they all nonetheless work good for a ups on my gaming PCs. none so far for me. I will purchase an additional 1 of these if for some reason I create a 4th gaming computer. As with any electronic product there will be defective units out there that are new, but so far the three that I've purchased here from newegg function just fine.

Kept my pc on via several power outages. Has never ever failed me. Lots of outlets in the back for plugging other issues in. Beneficial display on front. Emergency beep is loud enough to be noticed but not annoying. I have the USB hooked to my iMac to monitor the power levels and it at times erroneously notifies me that it's operating on battery energy even although the electricity is nevertheless flowing to the UPS. It's fairly compact for a UPS, I feel, which is a very good factor.

I personally prefer APC, but I don't like the power off switch on them... This is a well built sturdy unit, I own the 1350VA model too, had it for a couple years now, still going strong, but my PCs power supply was packing it in, started pulling 900watts, started screaming, so I bought a new PSU and bigger UPS... now it pulls 500Watts playing crisis 3.. go figure... lol I would only buy an APC or CyberPower, have tried others and was sadly disappointed... ps... if the power goes out, plug your laptop into this thing, expect another 4-6 hrs of battery life, for gosh darn sakes don't plug your desktop and expect miracles.... Long battery lifeLots of data on display Energy light is pretty bright I use this to offer backup power for my key Computer, my house server, modem and router. With all these running I have about 8 minutes of energy. Don't use the integrated software program if you intent to hook this up to a server and let the server control the UPS. I have my server setup to sent remote shutdown commands to my primary Pc when the energy hits 3 minutes and then shut itself off. After it does that the modem and router are nonetheless drawing energy but the time jumps up to 80 minutes. Throughout our power outage due to a storm I was able to nevertheless be online with my laptop when I required to by shutting down the UPS and laptop when not necessary. This UPS performs excellent with my WHS after I figured out that the enclosed computer software was the problem. Use the built in attributes of WHS and some of the various add-ins out there instead.

I have two of these; one particular for my Computer and 1 for my security technique. I am capable to run my Pc and a 22" widescreen LCD for about 25 minutes. Our safety program (a DVR, three cameras, 17" LCD, and all your other fundamental home monitoring stuff) lasts more than an hour.It comes with computer software to assist you manage the device but honestly I just plug the USB cable in to my Windows 7 machine and let the built-in drivers take care of it. The battery icon in the technique tray is good enough for me, and it reports accurately. Newegg shipped this directly in its retail box, and the delivery service had its way with it. Torn, flailing pieces of cardboard everywhere... not cool. I expect better from Newegg.

I live in the boonies exactly where electrical energy is unreliable at finest, a desk prime wouldn't last a day without 1 of these. This is my 3rd 1, (one for each and every of my builds). Have had all the popular brands and they all have let me down, but my first one particular of these is nonetheless going strong after 3 years! The AVR feature has possibly saved me additional than the price of 1 of these beautys. I've had a surge take out a monitor and hard drive just before. Cat can turn it off with her nose, has to use her feet with the other brands. Will run a 500 watt energy supply, 19" LCD, router and a cable modem for about 50 min.

Comes with the battery practically completely charged, straightforward to set up, isn't ugly hunting like most UPS units, computer software is light on resources and stable (Windows) Spacing for outlets is not sufficient, will pose challenges if your devices use massive AC adapter style plugs. No option to hold the LCD screen turned on. This is my first UPS and it appears I created the right choice.

Cons:Shipping box looked like it had been to hell and back. There was an AC/DC laptop power adapter packed in the box! Either this unit was a floor model or Cyberpower throws whatever into their boxes.

Pros:Unit worked. Software worked good (downloaded from their website).Cheaper price tag on sale (149.99)
Comment:
Okay, first I just want to say that the UPS does work properly for now. The LCD works great. I like that it isn't on all the time. The software works fine too. It hibernates the computer instead of shutting it down automatically, but I can live with that as I won't be losing power every other day here anyway. Now, on to the bad stuff. The shipping box was really banged up. I mean REALLY banged up. If I could attach a picture here, I would. It looked like it was thrown around, smashed with a car a few times and then dropped into my hands. I had the UPS guy note it down in case the unit worked. Quite a bit of the styrofoam packaging was broken on the inside of the box. And there was a laptop power adapter packaged in the box with it!! This clearly shows how much attention cyberpower is paying to packaging. Unless this was an NCIX mistake... perhaps it was a floor model that was repackaged and the guy packaging it threw in this odd power adapter that does not belong by mistake... I don't know. There is no point RMA'ing the unit though because it does work great. I even tested it out on battery power and it worked very well. I had the software set to shut down the computer after 5 minutes of running on battery and it did. I have a high power consuming rig here with 2 x GTX 280 in SLI and the UPS handled it just fine.I am going to rate this UPS 3 stars for now as it does meet my needs. I just wish the shipping from NCIX would have been better. If they could atleast throw the box into a bigger outer box, it might help with the styrofoam packaging breaking inside. And PLEASE NCIX, stick some fragile stickers on equipment like this so that it does not get thrown around by the shipping company. I paid for premium Express RMA service and everything and shipping was still this poor.Dissapointed in the shipping, and packaging, and lack of attention that was paid in the packaging of this unit by manufacturer or ncix (laptop power adapter I received in the package says it all). Satisfied with the product itself however.

Cons:Heavy but comes with items that are lead acid batteries

Pros:UPS's are a MUST for computer users
Comment:
This UPS is perfect for what I need. I am a photographer and am editing a lot during the day. There is nothing worse than working away and losing the project you are working on. I even went as far as purchasing a second one.1st is hooked up to my PC, 2x HDD enclosure.2nd is hooked up to 2x Dell IPS monitors and modem/router.The 1st one usually will last approximately 35 minutes without power. The 2nd unit lasts 55 minutes with the 2 monitors on, and 95 minutes with the monitors off.Expensive purchase, but I definitely recommend it for anyone who has to rely on their computer for work.

Comment:
I have been working with this UPS for more than 2 years and have under no circumstances had a challenge with it. A lot of great characteristics, especially when plugged in to USB. It would be good if the most important power button could be moved to the back. To some men and women the pretty blue button in front appears like it will turn on the LCD display. It doesn't. It cuts power to the whole unit. I had a buddy push it and ended up getting to reload windows due to corrupt files from the sudden energy loss.
