I like it does its job. Passed my self test with ease. Will run my method 16 minites ahead of it runs out of energy. Will have to replace batteries eventally Does what I want it to do. Ultimatly a smart purchase as I don't have to be concerned about my raid array getting corrupted by a power outage once again.

Powers whole program (large display, 1 KW PSU, high-end GPU and CPU, plus triple channel RAM) for practically 30 minutes after power out. Front display is amazing, actually interesting stats/info. I also like the upright design. pretty heavy, and there are options with out a LCD that will do fairly considerably the same job for a small less dollars. I in no way utilized a UPS before this, but the personal computer guy at work tells me they not only offer stability/time in the event of a energy outage. But, in the event of a power surge, the UPS will burn-out rather of the CPU. Of course there are no absolutes, but even if that is true 50% of the time it is worth the additional funds (over a energy-strip or surge "protector").

Helpful LCD, Decent power output.I had no problems with a Q9450 & Quad SLI 9800GX2s...till I upgraded to i7 and GTX570s. Not sufficient power for my i7 950 w/ 3x GTX570s.With a iMac i7 27in connected idling...And an i7 950 w/ 3x GTX570s at 90% GPU load, the UPS goes beeeeeeeeep.... solid.. and right after a couple of seconds the computer turns off. Below other conditions.....3D Mark Vantage causes the UPS to beep usually.Anything heavier and the UPS can not output enough energy.Consider receiving a larger UPS for a 1200watt PSU. At less than full load (and only 150watts going to the iMac) the UPS shuts off below heavy usage. Outstanding buy. On 2nd day of getting hooked up. Lights in residence barely flickered. UPS switched to battery then back to AC. Good responce time. Can defiantly see this to be a system saver. A standard surge protector can not shield your equipment the way this does. I personally believe the 90v down, and 140v up, switching setting's are a small to far off 120. It would be nice to have a small manual setting in this area. Or, atleast bring it in 10v each direction. NewEgg processing and shipping time was with out a doupt good. The UPS came 94% charged. 17min of run time with sys. and printer running.Antec 900 case P5N-t deluxeE8400 @ three. with Zalman 110mm fan2x 9800gtx+ in sli8g 1066 ram1000w psu1 500g HD Samsung 22 monitor.

N/A I have this psu on my computer: ABS Tagan BZ Series BZ1100 1100W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI ReadyThis 1100watt psu is an active PFC psu. If you appear at any PSUs on newegg for the 900-1100 watt rating, ALL of them are active PSUs. When I got this UPS, I plugged it in to the wall at lunch so the battery would charge up. I didn't have Anything connected to it. I came house and my computer was ON (I hadn't left it on) and was producing a whining sound. I thought it was my cooling method making the whining sound. It was in fact the PSU. Soon it shut down and my power supply won't commence my technique any much more. Maintain in thoughts I DID NOT plug my PSU into this UPS unit. I basically had the UPS plugged into a different outlet in my house with nothing attached to it. This UPS burned out my PSU even though the PSU wasn't directly attached to it!! I don't recognize how Any person who built their Pc with parts from Newegg could use this UPS as ALL the PSUs you can buy suitable now are ACTIVE PFC. BE WARNE Now my primary pc is down, and I have to return the UPS, AND I have to RMA my PSU. A incredibly poor expertise. Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your comments and suggestions. High wattage, high VA, as stated in specs. Protects other assets like network and cable. Linux support is a huge plus. Running a Pentium-II 500mhz firewall, a couple of switches, and a cable modem and only making use of 3% of load. Battery capacity says 2 hours at these levels and I believe it. I've unplugged it for a couple hours just to test. None. Software support good. GUI for Windows is top notch, and linux support in .deb, .rpm, and .tar for both 32bit and 64bit architectures.

Simple Setup Out of Box. Nifty power management feature. Power devouring LED light. A contradiction to its green power saving label. Power management Doesn't allow choice of outlets to manage. Does It's Job as a UPS properly, but I wouldn't necessarily say it saves power with an energy vampire LED almost the size of a half dollar. Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your comments regarding CyberPower's CP1500AVRLCD. The LED power light provides a lengthy life expectancy and low power use. Typical indicator LEDs are designed to operate with no much more than 30󈞨 milliwatts [mW] of electrical power. In contrast to most light sources, LEDs radiate extremely little heat in the form of IR that can cause harm to sensitive objects or fabrics. Wasted power is dispersed as heat by means of the base of the LED. LEDs can have a somewhat long beneficial life. 1 report estimates 35,000 to 50,000 hours of useful life. The low energy consumption, low maintenance and modest size of contemporary LEDs has led to several makes use of as status indicators. In addition, CyberPower's patented GreenPower UPS™ advanced circuitry reduces the UPS power expenses by up to 75% compared to competitive models.

Cons:The LCD shuts down after a few minutes while on AC power, but keeps lighted on on battery. Not really a problem.

Pros:It has an USB and serial port.It supports Linux (Cyberpower has Linux softwares on their site).Plenty of time on battery.
Comment:
It has been one month and I had no power outage or power surge, but as far as my tests had gone,it runs pretty good.I have my HP slimline with a 160W power supply and my 23" monitor plugged in on battery. It would run an estimated 53 minutes as said by the UPS' lcd.I noted that when the lcd brightness is at minimum, it impacts a good 8-10 minutes on the battery. That's pretty great as I can write a simple script to run during a power outage so it turns down the lcd brightness. It has linux support, pretty happy with that (the software is in the website of Cyberpower).

I did not use it or open its packaging. Newegg consumer support was quick to concern a RMA/refund. The UPS was shipped in its retail box. It was not placed in a sturdy box with additional packaging material. When I received it, it was sitting at my doorstep as shipped. The retail box was damaged, and the Styrofoam was falling apart. If you obtain any UPS, make sure something this heavy is put in a sturdy box with extra packing materials. On a distinct/separate order, I purchased parts to construct a new computer (CPU, memory, motherboard, video card, and so on..). Due to packing, the power supply was sitting on leading of my CPU and memory. CPU box and memory box was smushed by the power supply. I did not want to wait to get a replacement CPU or memory, simply because I wanted to know if the other components had been DOA/faulty. This way I can get 1 RMA from Newegg instead of going to each manufacturer for a separate RMA. It's been a month, and there doesn't appear to be any complications with the CPU, memory or any other components (knock on wood). Manufacturer Response:Thank you for taking the time to present feedback concerning the CyberPower CP1500AVRLCD, 1 of the most well-known, award-winning UPS in the marketplace. We are very pleased that you took the time to supply an assessment and your unique expertise. Power supply preforms great, I've built a power house desktop rig and generally the power doesn't go off but had a roommate that doesn't know anything about electricity, electronics, or virtually something technologies wise, and then some, for that matter and she keeps on blowing out the breakers with every thing connected to 1 outlet, so I bought this. I did a self test, either the similar day or the day soon after receiving it, with my desktop on by just unplugging and the desktop was nonetheless operating smooth. None of the consumer UPS's are at all effective so it can't genuinely be held against that but a 60% efficiency just isn't that wonderful. Something factor with a greater efficiency cost at least about 4 occasions much more than this. This is good for its price, can't genuinely uncover something less expensive that really works properly and can sustain 900w's of power. So far I have two cyberpower UPS's and I am extremely content with those goods. I do recommend acquiring this if any individual has problems with high powered electronics and a electricity problem such as an ignorant roommate.

Nice case. Nice LED interface. NewEgg failed to note that this model does not support PFC power supplies. After reading the feedback, I refused the UPS shipment and bought a model supporting PFC (CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD) from a different on the web shop that was selling it for only twenty a lot more than this model such as free of charge shipping. Ascertain regardless of whether or not your power supply is PFC. If so, this UPS is not _designed_ to assistance it. Confident, it may perform with your PFC power supply, but it also may possibly fry your power supply. Or the power supply simply may well carry out its function effectively and refuse power from this UPS. The risk is yours to take. two eggs removed for NewEgg's failure to print this compatibility issue. Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your comments and suggestions. Hooked up to a Custom Built Laptop or computer with, Intel 95 W Quad core, GTX 285, three hard drives, Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W Continuous Power 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC PSU, and 24" LCD with no problems. I get about 30 minutes of battery life which is excellent. Passed the selftest with no issues. LCD display is cool. No problems with this unit but I do want to go on a rant. All UPS must officially support each non, passive, and active PFC PSUs. As soon as a user has trouble with thier Active PFC PSU on a normal UPS, the manufacturer pulls the pure or adaptive sinwave UPS is required card, which these UPSs are twice as costly and twice as scarce. Now I realize the distinction among the different sinwave's and all but Newegg currenlty sells 399 diverse PSUs, 292 are PFC, that's 73%. UPS businesses want to support these upfront in thier normal UPS and not make a pick few UPS that support Active PFC that are twice as pricey. No cost shipping on a 25 pound UPS is really good! I have this Cyberpower UPS (the 1500) since many years (at least 5 years) and it's still rock solid. This Cyberpower 1500 can last a good 40 minutes on low load, that's very impressive, it also have a nice LCD telling you the current load in watts, the input voltage and frequency (it will adjust it to stay in acceptable range automatically), battery level, battery up time etc..I owned multiples UPS in the past, from all major maker, they all had very low run time (5-10 minutes) despite there high price tag, this one not only cost less, it's also a LOT better.I'm so pleased with this unit that I just ordered a second one for my wife.
