It's fast and it functions fine. Simple set up. Streams video nicely when in range. Absolutely worth the price tag. The range is not as excellent as my other routers. I set this up as an access point in a section of my property exactly where my other two wireless routers had a weak signal. Not a dropped signal, but undoubtedly slow enough to make streaming video stutter. It performs good in that section, but I was shocked that when I went back by the other routers how weak the signal was. The other routers were more high priced. If you have a little apartment, this is wonderful for you.

Great price tag, smallish. Information transfer rate was so slow that numerous pages just timed out. Similar for wired and wireless. I don't consider that this is a design challenge, just a undesirable unit-which I received. A firmware update may possibly have fixed this, but I doubt it. Not worth the difficulty to ship back, I just tossed in out. I have had fantastic luck with other D-Link goods so I am not trashing the business-I just got a bad unit. Hope yours is okay!

After 3 hours attempting to get this thing to see out to the net, I ultimately gave up and named tech assistance (I do tech help for a living). Uncomplicated set up and plenty of range for my 1700 ft ranch style home. Router sits in the center and goes four bars in the furthest space. Automobile connected with my 3 year old Century Link/Sprint dsl modem and speed is exact same. None so far hopefully this will stand the test of time.

Low-cost $, SOLID! none, so far (setup was uncomplicated but does take a along time) was just cursed by an additional brand, that sounds like SMELKIN, it was generally a horrible router and left me kinda weary of other wireless routers.
