Grabbed this on a whim when I saw it for ů as it seemed to have a pretty good chipset with high compatibility with the aircrack-ng suite of software. none so far PLEASE NOTE: I believe this is v2 of the ENUWI-G2. While the original had the Realtek RTL8187B chipset, this 1 has the RTL8187L chipset (much nicer for playing with aircrack). This adapter has the FCC ID, NHPWLG1502, which seems to confirm that this adapter has the RTL8187 chipset if you search the ID on fcc.gov

Functions like a charm and I've ultimately been able to get rid of the 50' ethernet cable that was in the way. Usb, awesome!Can switch it to my portable pc if I need to have to. Kind of chunky, but for not possessing to take up a PCI slot, I can live with it! Low cost cost, buy it!

It worked like it was supposed to in XP 32 Household and Vista 32 HP. Place in the disk, ran the wizard, skipped the add on application. Finds the networks and does excellent. It's a good thing they integrated the extension cord. This thing is kind of brickish and could interfere with other USB connections devoid of it. No eggs lost for losing the beauty contest though. It just hangs from the rear USB and operates.The cap was type of really hard to pull off. Believed I might break anything.. Warm, but I had no issues triggered by that below massive download patching sequences and a 90 minute continuous on the internet gaming session.For this value it's a great bargain.

Does what it says it will do. The range seems weak, and for the exact same cost you can get an 802.11n adapter which is more rapidly than this factor. I wish I have gotten 802.11n rather.

Haven't had any difficulties with the actual wireless function. The device is way also huge. It just looks clunky.

This is a good bargain for the value. The unit is uncomplicated to set up, the software is uncomplicated, and it gets decent reception as long as you aren't genuinely far away fro your router. I have installed around 30 of these for my consumers and they last for a lengthy time and are quite constant. It's an affordable acquire, so the high quality from time to time ins't excellent, but I have had much more good results with Encore than with most of the large name organizations.

Functions as described; excellent cost. Employed it to connect an old laptop devoid of wireless and USB 1.1 to the wireless g network with WPA2-PSK. Even even though it is USB 1.1, I haven't seen the network itself getting also slow (as the computer itself is currently super slow). Physically huge, but comes with a little USB extension cord which I use. Also the cap doesn't connect to the back when it is off, so you just have to place it someplace and hope it doesn't get lost.

Performs adequately. Not compatible with Windows 7, even working with the Windows compatibility tool for the software package that comes with it. Beneficial for older machines that can't run Windows 7 and are operating with Vista or earlier operating systems. Value is worth it, but just not beneficial to me so I'm returning it.

I plugged it in and it worked. I unplugged it and it never worked again! For whatever reason this thing decided to cease becoming recognized by any of my computer systems. I plug it in from time to time to see if it's software has come out of hiding, but not however. This is low cost for a purpose. Devote at least ฤ on some thing that will final.
