Ir functions! it keeps my Core 2 Quad Q6600 at 32°C idle and 46°C when playing CSS at max res!!! It's a lot far better than the stock fan + heatsink. The price is fantastic! None yet! Sooo affordable, i don't know for how long it's gonna work but nonetheless i'm very satisfied! I might try to overclock my CPU...

Somewhat basic to install. Uncomplicated to install once you figure it out. No directions came with it. But I had similar directions in my motherboard manual. Push on the four metal brackets to push the clips into the motherboard holes. Not the Black plastic tops.

Cost, Rating, Free of charge ShippingIt moves a lot of air.If you require the cheapest factor that just plain works, this is it (this week). It's not that quiet, but it is far better than the Intel Stock Cooler (barely). Don't use the thermal soup that comes with it unless you've got a P-II that demands some. I enjoy the AC cooling freezer 7 Pro and I'm a chump for not ponying up ฟ a lot more for it.

I have this on a q6600 and it has been fantastic so far. I decided to get the CPU w/o the intel fan and heatsink and acquire this for greater cooling. It also wound up getting less expensive so its a win-win for me. none

It works, and the price was excellent. It installed easily. I read one evaluation which critized the plastic clips. Properly, you are only installing it as soon as. The clips hold, and they do unclip with the turn of the pin. Perhaps you could rather have a ball bearing than the sleeve. If you are purchasing a fan for a Quad, check the fan CFMs. I had purchased 1 fan that was manufacturer rated up to a Duo but not a Quad. This had 10 CFM a lot more and was listed for a Quad. Is ŭ or บ bucks worth the threat of damaging your Quad?

My roomie bought this as a replacement for a broken Intel stock fan. Since he was preparing to toss out the PC this belonged to I asked if I could take it. Dropped this in my method and saw an instant temp reduce over my Intel stock cooler. Really impressed. Like others report, it appears to only run at one speed and only that speed. The smartfan controller in my motherboard is unable to alter the speed. Not too much of a con I suppose given that I really don't care. At this cost if it burns out I can simply purchase one more. Paired with an E8400 and artic silver 5. With the processor overclocked to three.6GHz I'm seeing 34-35c temps throughout idle compared to the 45-48c with the stock cooling. No complaints here!

Does the job for a low cost, excellent airflow Noisier than I expected If you want some thing inexpensive with excellent cooling and noise is not considerably of a concern then this is suitable for you. The noise from this fan is not really high but nonetheless noticeable at all times. If you will need some thing silent then look elsewhere. Overall I am very happy with this.

Attached initially time easily. Fit my exhaust port great. Operates 3c cooler for my processor (Then a Pentium D 940 three.2GHz @ three.4GHz). When I upgraded to C2Q, removal was a discomfort, and reattaching was a pain. I miss the days of clips.

Great Price, received 3 days right after ordering. Building a HTPC and this fan is fairly quiet and keeps my Intel Q6600 at decent temps. None Utilised Arctic Silver rather of the thermal paste that came with it.

I'm utilizing this in my Intel Pentium D930 three.0Ghz and it keep it 53c under load nd 42iddle with artic silver 5 thermal paste it's a good low-cost cooler. utilizing this in my media center pc a little loud for a media center but hey for this price I can't complain. I use to have a additional costly heatsink from thermaltake and this 1 do a far better job.

* A extremely excellent, low expense alternative to the stock Intel cooler. * Adequate cooling for slightly overclocked method* Lower noise than stock. * Not that attractive, but don't anticipate it to be. For the price, you can not go wrong. It's a terrific cooler that replaces a missing or broken stock cooler. I recommend it for a low expense cooler for the Socket 775 CPU. I employed it with a Prescott core P4 3. overclocked to 3.4 and it worked flawlessly.

Replaced a broken Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro on my Q6600, idles at 25-35C, in no way above 50C under load. Easy to install once I figured out how.10$ Included thermal compound is a lot worse than the Arctic Silver that was on my old heatsink, but then what do you expect for 10$. No directions, had to read reviews to understand that you should push the metal clips not the plastic ones. Replaced a significantly far better and additional costly heatsink, but I have no complaints. Cools a great deal much better than stock.

Works Much louder than the stock Intel fan on an E8400. No way this thing is < 22 dBA. The irony is that I bought this due to the fact I felt that the stock fan, which had been extremely quiet when initial bought, was starting to get a bit loud. HA! Now I have something 10x louder.
