EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896-P3-1255-AR Video Card
Comment:
After extensive research and comparisons amongst the 200 series cards, this is definitely the most powerful one per $. Will be purchasing shortly after I get my money back from the gts 250 I bought that was doa recently, but not from tiger.. Don't be fooled by the name gts 250, it is simply a less power hungry 9800gtx+(one 6 pin vs 2 also). The 260 and especially for the extra 10-20 dollars the 260 core 216 is possibly the best card at the 180-200$ price point. Runs all current games amazingly well for the mid level enthusiast. fits my uATX case after moving my HD.

EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896-P3-1255-AR Video Card
Comment:
This is a fantastic card, the price is outstanding. The new 55 nanometer technology is amazing, it definitely preforms. In my set up, of an E7300 OCed to 3.3GHZ, 4GBs of RAM, OCZ700 PSU, ASUS P5QL-PRO board. I can run Age of Conan on Max Settings with out a problem.

EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896-P3-1255-AR Video Card
Cons:Fan is a little loud at 100 percent speed but you can adjust it so it's your choice...

Pros:Provides lots of GPU frame-ratey goodness = that's what you buy it for
Comment:
Well this card has worked great for me. It has worked great in the games I've played and it gets some good folding nubers as a bonus.I have only overclocked it to SCC levels and it made it there with no effort at all.Temps do run HOT under load but thats the same for most/all higher end GPU's so...I could've put price in as a weakness but I doubt NCIX or EVGA really wants to give them away for free so I guess you have to live with the price. I did mange to get a good pricematch so I can't complain.

EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896-P3-1255-AR Video Card
Cons:-During the first hour of operation, it seemed to emit an intermittent and high-pitched squeaking. Thankfully it went away on its own.

Pros:-Blazing fast card, handles Crysis at max on DX10 without breaking a sweat-Cool and reliable load and idle temperatures-Very easy to overclock-Comes with free copy Far Cry 2-Quiet
Comment:
Thanks to NCIX for stocking these babies. I upgraded from a trusty 8800GT that I used since November '07. I was using a ThermalTake DuOrb for the 8800, but the stock cooler on this 260 is magnificent. I have it overclocked to 720/1484/1101 and the idle temp is 39-41. Even after an intense gaming session with Crysis, Mass Effect, GTA IV, etc. the load temps stay below 70. The fan speed is only at 50% and not even audible. I got a 3DMark Vantage score of about 13000 and that was with much lower clocks than the ones I'm using now.

EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896-P3-1255-AR Video Card
Cons:Price! $280 before MIR would be perfect.

Pros:Cool, quiet, powerful.details in summary.
Comment:
The perfect price point for this card should be $280 without MIR, Nvidia could sell a lot of these. On to the point.Upgrading from GTS 320, the thing I was looking for is relatively low power consumption and performance, and this card satisfies both. The neat thing about this card is its cooling profile. Using Rivatuner, the clocks: (core, shader, Vram)2d: 300, 100, 100low power 3d: 400, 800, 300gaming 3d: 576, 1242, 999Idle temp: 46C, ambiet temp: 40CLoad temp: ~56CThis card will run GRID at 1920x1200, with ultra setting, 16xQSCAA, without stuttering. The end of this card sit flush against the HDD bay in CM690. Though the PCI-e power is mounted on the side, so no problem there. My system spec:Phenom 9950 125wPatriot Extreme 2x2GB DDR2 800PC P & C 750W silencer quadCrosshair II (overrated, get a decent 790GX/790FX instead to save some money.)Case fans: two top mounted intake, one side intake, one front intake. All around 800RPM (Scythe 120mm)The gpu fan runs very quiet. This review was modfied by poster q 01-15-09 06:02 PM This review was modfied by poster @ 01-15-09 06:47 PM
