EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) FPB EE 01G-P3-1371-AR Video Card
Comment:
Fantastic card. Have had them for 5 months with no concerns. Purchased one open box and one brand new both had been able to money in a rebate in December and each are lifetime warranty registered. Easily runs games like Fallout New Vegas, Bad Company two, Dragon Age, Crysis 2 if I had it.Cards idle at 35C and 53C in a massive Lian Li PC-P80.can easily be overclocked to the EVGA 460GTX F-T-W speeds of 850 clock and 1700 shaders with room to spare only two-way SLI but for Midrange cards having SLI is fantastic. I am running them on an older 780i board, Asus P5nt-Deluxe, where bottleneck is my core two quad Q6600 and 8GB DDR2 and the 2-way SLI gets a WEI of 7.7

EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) FPB EE 01G-P3-1371-AR Video Card
Comment:
This card is awesome, runs almost everything maxxed out at 1080P with no problems! It's the first EVGA item I've purchased but I do not regret it! The card is incredibly well built and the software program that comes with it is simple but quite beneficial! With EVGA Precision I got the core up to 900Mhz and memory up to 2000Mhz with no alterations to the voltage and it didn't get any warmer than what it is.- Lifetime warranty within 30 days of registration;- Unbeatable efficiency VS price ratio;- Great overclokability;- Silent & Power effective;- No dumb robot or sexy asian girl sticker;- NVIDIA drivers;- PhysX & CUDA;- Superb F@H performer;- Smaller than my 4870 and GTS 250. - Didn't get my Just Trigger two coupon.- Could come with additional extras. I dislike folks with no expertise reviewing products they do not know. Comments such as "Oh noes it's overheating at 70ºc, that's too hot!" are pointless. This range of temperature is perfectly normal to these cards, they can go up to 105ºc in extreme cases with out permanent harm, the shutdown temperature is around 105𞲞ºc.If you haven't got a clue about it why bother monitoring it's temperature? It's perfectly typical to see this card up to 90ºc and please do not worry about it, mine does not make it past 81ºc and you can always create a diverse fan profile with EVGA precision. The fan is incredibly silent even operating heavy games such as Metro 2033.My Radeon 4870 would very easily hit 90ºc+ and it still works just fine after a couple of years. Also make confident you got a superior airflow in your case, fitting this card in a mini-atx case with crowded cables and no added fans will surely heat issues up.

EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) FPB EE 01G-P3-1371-AR Video Card
Comment:
Outstanding card for the dollars. I came from an HIS 4870 1GB and this card practically doubled the efficiency of that in all benches. In actual world games, I was searching at about 10-20 FPS boost will 100% maxed settings, as opposed to the 4870 running in mostly full settings. Picture what these in SLI will be capable of! Had some weird GPU related lockups, flashing the vBIOS seems to have fixed it. Card is income!

Bought this to replace my BFG GTX 260 (Gee wonder why I got rid of it...) and wow. Performs better than it, runs cooler than it and is smaller! And I bought for the similar price I did the 260 more than a year ago. Finest card on the market right now in my opinion unless you truly want to run games like Crysis at max settings on 1080p or greater. This card overclocks like a champ as effectively. three+ Monitor support. In reality, NVIDIA doesn't have it there. "Surround SLI" is a knee-jerk reaction resolution to when ATI announced its Eyefinity feature. Having to buying a 2nd card for a third display is not a remedy when ATI does it on 1 card. Would've been good if the back of the card had a protector on it and SLI covers as well.

EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) FPB EE 01G-P3-1371-AR Video Card
Comment:
Amazing card. Runs every single game I throw at it at max settings with 8xAA and 16xAF. It's smaller and cooler than the GTX 260 I replaced. I would post framerates but there truly is nothing to say except they're all maxed at 60... all the time. The 260 struggled with games like FarCry 2 in spots on ultra settings but the 460 does it with out even cranking up the heat. And the price:performance ratio is wonderful. If I would have bought this card 2 days later than I did I would have got a copy of Metro 2033 rather of Cryostasis. Doh. Not definitely a con that reflects the card but I wanted to vent. Some folks complain about the fan noise. Certain it's louder than some, but you'ld have to have mutant hearing to hear it more than music or games even at mild volumes. The noise is a tradeoff for the external exaust cooling method which adds a bigger heat sink and an extra heat pipe and doesn't circulate the warm air in the case; in other words, cooler temps. At idle my program is still darn near silent, and the only times the fan cranks up is for the duration of gaming in which case it can't be heard over the game. Definately a terrific acquire.

Runs my games on max or near max settings, such as Dragon Age, Left4Dead two. I could manage at greatest medium settings with several settings on low before with my 6800GS.Quieter than my 6800GS when idle ྾% fan speed)Runs cool on idle at 32 degrees None so far. I don't have my new MB or Proc (i5-2500) in but so I put this in my old Athlon 3700+ for testing. It was intolerably loud until I discovered it was pressing up against the southbridge fan and that it was the SB fan producing the noise. If you ramp up the fans to 70% using EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner, it's loud. But my case fans, minimal, are louder when it's idling. After reading quite a few forum reviews, if your card is loud when idling, you need to RMA it. This certain model at 30% fan speed is incredibly extremely quiet.

EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) FPB EE 01G-P3-1371-AR Video Card
Comment:
This card is a wonderful value for the performance and fits the niche that a lot of hobbyists want in between energy and value. It's form factor is smaller than most dual slot cards and doesn't extend past my motherboard at all. Framerates are excellent in SCII and Assasin's Creed II, I don't notice any chop running settings at ultra in 1920x1080 resolution. This card runs hot, but I feel that is to be expected from any 400 series card. It idles at 31C and maxes at around 85C in my Coolermaster HAF X case. I've tried different fan configurations and this is the greatest. My processor, i7 runs at 34C under load in comparison so it's not the case.

DX11 - runs every thing you can throw at it... when it is working well. High quality issues with the VC memory. Purchased this back in July. I've owned it for over 6 months. Following about a month or so of owning this card I started getting difficulties... Typical VC memory kind issues started poping up i.e. fragmented/shards on windows desktop and in games on Win7. I have a quality construct and in no way OC and am usually grounded when installing so I'm fairly certain it was nothing I did upon initial install. I noticed with new 200 drivers a marked improvement which seemed to make the issue go away but in the last few days the comp was going into full BSOD restart mode immediately after five or 10 minutes in Poor Business or any other game that accessed the VC. I ended up using the nVidia system tools to lower the clock speed on each the memory and VC processor and voila, the restart troubles went away. I have very a bit of experience building and making use of computers and in my opinion I believe the memory was marginal or bad on this VC.

Exceptional upgrade from 8800gt, incredibly quiet and cool compared to the aftermarket fan/heatsink on the 8800gt. Idles around 30C and is no louder than my old card under load. External Exhaust is nice too. Overall im entirely pleased with this acquire. None. I would and have advised this card to pals. Evga makes it really effortless to register your item and apply for rebates, compared to some businesses who make it almost impossible. Lifetime restricted warranty, exellent.

EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) FPB EE 01G-P3-1371-AR Video Card
Comment:
I purchased this card as an upgrade from my 8800gt about a month immediately after they came out. Runs everything on high without having a sweat. When I bought the card it didn't come as quick as they are now. Thanks to EVGA, there is a performance enhance just for this card only not lengthy after the release. I expected additional. Maybe my levels had been a small high, but I expected much more. I average 60fps on BC2 and higher with every little thing else. I wanted additional because I was getting about 40-55 with my 8800gt. Soon after some analysis, I found out that I wasn't the only who wasn't pleased with BC2 and their 460. Come to uncover out that it is software program concern and a driver based issue with BC2 and the 460. Fundamentally from my investigation, BC2 wasn't created with the muli-core gpu style and nvidia has performed something with drivers to compensate. But due to the fact the card is a beast, it is able to keep up with the conflict. Runs the card at 70% usage. If you are thinking on getting this card, don't mind my con extremely much. It will still kick any game's tail. I love this card. I am really plaining on obtaining an additional 1 to run SLI. Cost went down from when I purchased it at 249.99 and Newegg has deals all the time. Purchase stuff about holidays for the discounts. My method:EVGA 780iQ9550 @ three.1460 gtx EEfour gb OCZ19" LG

I just built a gaming PC a few weeks ago from scratch. Can't believe the power on this factor. I can run just about every single game I try on the highest settings with genuinely high fps at 16ɍ resolution. Borderlands, Bioshock, DDO, Left 4 Dead 2.. just to name a couple of. I really feel like no matter what game I play, I'm not even coming close to slowing this thing down.Definitely suggest it. Could not be the card itself.. may just be bad placement on the mobo, but this card covers up the only PCI slot that came on on it. Wasn't a massive deal for me, but it may well be for some people today. Obtain it. It's incredible.

One of the greatest cards I have owned, at stock speeds it destroys ever card in its price range, then when you overclock it oooooowweeee! At 845MHz it throws shots at the GTX470, and HD5850 in most all games. In Crysis at 845MHz it gets the exact same average performance as a HD5870! Some have gotten this card to 975MHz with greater voltages by means of flashed bios's and at that speed it performs the very same as a GTX480!!! For the price at the moment (趐 at the time of this post) there isn't a superior card, period. Get it, get it, obtain it! The fan in idle can't drop below 40%, I locate that annoying. But thats only due to the fact the rest of my pc doesn't make noise (everything but the card is watercooled, with extremely very quiet fans on the radiator). If you have an average setup, it shouldn't be an concern tough. EVGA just released some BIOS updates that boosts this card to 720MHz core stock, and they also added the ability to raise the fan speed to 100%. And it's seriously easy to install, you run the .exe, it asks you to accept with a cmd screen, and wala it does it. And just a heads up the best existing tool to use to manually overclock this card is MSI Afterburner. As for Folding@Home at 900MHz I get just over 11,000 PPD, at 845MHz I get 10,700 PPD.

My card worked perfect for a bit, but I'll go into that in the cons...- about 5-10% better in my program that the GTX 260- About five" shorter than the GTX 260 It died a horrible death within a few days, nonetheless, EVGA has a lifetime warranty on the AR models. It acted like it was drawing *way* too considerably power, even though I've got a 750w psu ... Not as large of a difference as I expected from the reviews I read, but it could have been my borked card. We'll see when I get my new one back. The problems I had with the card are *not* regular for Evga. I've bought a number of of their cards, and this is the initial to die on me. All of the other cards are still in working order, even immediately after five years in some instances. Evga & newegg both rock, even if there's an occasional slip in the QA department ;)

EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) FPB EE 01G-P3-1371-AR Video Card
Cons: None. Absoulutely love it.

Pros: I was looking for a new Video Card for my new rig to play Starcraft II and this has yet to disappoint me. I'm able to play on Ultra settings and even with the Zerg creep and huge battles, my FPS still stays at a healthy rate. I would dare say this is one of the best "bang for its buck" video cards in the market today. The Lifetime warranty at EVGA is also a huge bonus.
Comment:
If you're looking for a card that can run modern games but not necessarily top end cards, this is what you're looking for. It's not gonna be your GTX 480's but it's also not gonna cost over $400. Like I said, best "bang for your buck". I'd definitely recommend it.
