This card is NOT a re-branded GTX 260 with DX11. It's nothing at all other than a GTX 470 with significantly less SP's and ROP's and a 256-bit bus. Some of you guys are Actually creating factors up and posting them as details. This isn't the location for amateurs to post mis-data. If you don't know what you're speaking about, please refrain from posting fiction here. This is a place for individuals to make INFORMED decisions about products. In order for that to take place, individuals need correct facts. Folks posting blatantly false information on this website should be warned and then banned from posting critiques. I would hate to see anyone make a getting selection based on some of the stuff stated right here. Energy Consumption is on the high side, but so is the rest of the 400 series. Men and women cry about temps with the 400 series, but I fixed that working with a little widespread sense, some zip ties and a tiny situation fan. Load temps now float among 60-70c.

This card runs games much better than the 260 any day even compared to my 260 F.T.W a different advantage is the potential to clean the heat sink devoid of taking off the cooler. this card also over clocks well. SLI cable comes with your mombo not the card!! When the fan is turned up past 80% sounds like a SR-71 taking off. I'm getting at least a 20% improvement out of this card over my EVGA GTX260 F.T.W

None! (It don't even deserve one egg!) Began to lock up and blue screen soon after Newegg warranty was over. (not Neweggs fault anyways). It was acquiring hot and smelled often; Later it caught fire while I was at school. It burnt up my new Pc (core i7 ---was nice). By the time the fire dept place it out, it burnt up most of my room. The water damage to home and every single factor was about 񚅨. I referred to as for an RMA from EVGA prior to the fire and was waiting to get one particular.Want to take the likelihood that you will be one particular of the luckey ones, that gets a excellent card that don't overheat and fry? Remain away from this fantastic good quality hardware! Next time I will go with a far better Co. and an ATI card.

It worked wonderful for my husband for a couple of days. It just began to freeze and the laptop would just lock up. Immediately after two days the card does not even load into windows it just freezes and even when asking for safe mode it freezes. People today mentioned it was the PSU but the laptop or computer has a 850w Antec TruePower Quattro that was purchased from Newegg and is enough to power it. I am very disappointed in this product and in Newegg simply because after all of the good feed back i get a defective :( I talked to the manufacture and they tried to support me locate out what was wrong but it all pointed to GPU. The laptop is functioning fine with his old GPU. This is the 1st costly GPU we've purchased and i hope we can get a refund from Newegg since all this brought us has been hours of headaches and hours of time wasting and also we have been a loyal client for so many years and have bought all of our components for our Computer from them. I am not stopping everyone from acquiring this card due to the fact perhaps i was just unlucky =/Hopefully Newegg Understands

I received it yesterday and I can't believe the energy of this card. It replaced my old 9600 gt and it's a major transform. I can load Crysis at 1080P, higher settings and 4x AA with no lag. 75 degrees max temp. HDMI is awsome, no need to have of SPDIF cable any longer. Wow, incredible how this card is heavy compared to my old one particular :P. none My OCZ 600w PSU is capable to energy it. It has four rails of 12v at 15 amps each and every that can provide 40 amps with each other, 45 at peak. 30 amps is encouraged for this card. This is important or it wont boot up! I have a antec tree hundred, so there's a very good air flow

Functions nicely, when it functions. Good performance...looks kinda cool? Fairly very good price when I got it. I've had troubles with this card because the starting. It randomly freezes up when I'm playing Starcraft II or performing anything else that is heavy in 3D graphics. I wanted to buy an Asus card, but my friend talked me into buying the similar EVGA card that he was receiving (this 1). Now we're each regretting it. His card is even worse, his has troubles with video freezing any time, at least mine only has issues in 3D games (Starcraft II) or applications (Heaven Benchmark). For the card that I have, it seems to be a thermal challenge. The fan doesn't spool up rapidly adequate to be in a position to preserve itself cool. I have been able to manually go into EVGA Precision and set the fan to a high speed, which fixes the dilemma (until I reboot, then I have to do it once more). I'm not certain if this issue lands on the NVidia driver, the NVidia chip, or the EVGA board, but I am incredibly displeased with this card. When you drop this considerably funds on a graphics card, you anticipate it to work.I have been operating with EVGA tech assistance, who have been somewhat beneficial. They suggested some things (some of them are just silly, like setting the RAM and CPU voltage and frequency manually in my BIOS). I've followed their each instruction and they just keep feeding me a lot more recommendations that don't work. Manufacturer Response:Hi,Can you make contact with me straight at jacobf@evga.com so I can function with you, please reference your Newegg post in the e-mail.Thanks,Jacob

I'm not a Gamer in any way, shape, or form; so I'm not pushing the video card to the edge of a cliff and expecting it to magically sprout wings and fly high, but I do anticipate it to be definitely brilliant running HD video and simply manage two large HD monitors and final for a extended, lengthy, long time. It's too early to inform about the "last a extended extended long time" element...no purpose not to count on it though...but it is the case at this point to safely say... Definite Pros... + incredibly simple install+ excellent HD overall performance + incredibly rapidly + extremely cost-effective for somebody who desires great overall performance but doesn't want to break the bank to get it + easlily handles two big HD monitors + lifetime warranty is a huge plus ...all in all, a really outstanding video card at this point, and no purpose not to expect it continue being a extremely great video card. Sort-of Cons... - big (by necessity, of course), thus requires up alot of space on the motherboard, and covers an adjacent slot (but, of program, if you want the video efficiency you have to accept the trade-offs) - runs relatively warm-to-hot (but...ditto above trade-off comment)...and any heat generated that the card itself isn't taking care of is not as well challenging to handle if you have a very good excellent properly ventilated case with great-top quality fans (my case is a Lian Li A05-NB mini-tower with a 120mm blow hole with connected fan cut in the best panel above the video card). ...but nothing at all worth docking an egg for. This card replaced my GTX 260 and is a excellent improvement I picked up frame rates in all my games and everything runs a lot smother. In STALKER COP my adv frame rate on ultra DX11 are 60.six with a low of 26.five nearly double of what I had in DX10 and good eye candy. Runs Black Ops flat out just about every factor turned on incredible card for gaming. None so far Might get an additional a single and SLI but for now I see no need to have.

Solid DX11 overall performance at a low cost. Overclocks like there's no tomorrow and runs quite cold though executing so. I mainly use it for Folding@Home exactly where it nets a solid 13k ppd at 775 core and only hits about 71C at full load with the fan at 70%. 460 is out now which performs quite close...nevertheless lags behind in folding even though. To Xenos who stated this was a rebranded GTX260 core 216: You want to do some analysis. This is a semi-disabled GF100 gpu with 352 shaders. It's totally distinct architecture from the GT200 series and hopefully you comprehend that 352 != 216.I've got this in a inexpensive Azza Solano 1000 case which keeps it ice cold and am adding one more soon. I bought directly from EVGA but have been quite satisfied with my purchase and am satisfied with the results from Folding@Home.

Two thoughts come to mind. 1. Rapid delivery! two. Quickly video card! Props to the Egg. Ordered 8.22 and received eight.24. I've often loved EVGA merchandise with their sleek black finish. This card is running Bioshock two with no BSOD. Wonderful. Outstanding upgrade from my older EVGA 8800 GTS which served me nicely through a lot of video games. None. Wished I hadn't waited so lengthy to upgrade from my 8800 card.

I'm not positive why people are calling this a 260 with DX11. The 465 literally has a lot more than twice the number of transistors on the die and 352 CUDA cores compared to the 260 and its 216 CUDA cores. The 465 is also loaded with additional memory on GDDR5 compared to the 260's GDDR3. This IS NOT an upmodded 260. It is in reality a absolutely unique GPU.Handles BFBC2 like butter. Below load is staying around 70. Note that the temp of your GPU is Really dependent on the ambient temperature of your room and the airflow by means of your case. Priced a tad bit high. Again, this is absolutely distinct from the 260.

Affordable for what you get. Overclocks superior than a 470, and is cooler. Not as effective as my 570s. I have the 570s, my spouse got my 465s. They nevertheless rock. Some people don't recognize how considerably distinction there is amongst DirectX 9c and DirectX ten or 11. The framerates on WoW are considerably lower on a DirectX 10 or 11 card, simply because the rendering is distinct. Nonetheless, my pair of matched 465s will run WoW on Ultra, and in no way complain. Framerates are about 30 to 50 FPS, and the NVidia 3D effect is astonishing. Mine are clocked at 756 Core and 1996 Memory. Oh, there are "sweet" ratios on an NVidia card. These cards run SLOWER if you set them at 760 / 2000 than they do at 756 / 1996. Has to do with the memory rate matching up with the core rate. If they are not syncronized, you really Lose memory cycles!

two words: Get it. If you had been searching at receiving a 480 for 躔 look at receiving two of these as an alternative. I've carried out my investigation, looked at many charts and read numerous evaluations. All sources say that 2 of these babies perform superior than the 480. As some of you may possibly not know, SLI doesn't imply you just have 2 video cards running at 100%. Usually what takes place is the main card runs at 100% and the 2nd card runs at around 50%. This is simply because of a compatibility problem. When in SLI with these cards, the 2nd card has been verified to run at 90% compatibility on most benchmark games. That's why two of these cards blow the 480 out of the water and it's the identical price tag.To prime it off they run cooler, quieter and much more energy effective than the 470 and 480s.All in all, the pricing of this card gives people accessible DX11 content material with out breaking the bank, and if they have the dollars to acquire a 2nd one they will get much more efficiency out of 2 of these as opposed to 1 480. Good job nVidia! Beware, If you're organizing to run these in 3way-sli I wouldn't recommend it. The compatibility percentage will go down to about 15%. Stick with two of these and you'll be set! Due to the fact of the low temps these guys overclock really nicely also. These run fantastic in my computer at around 86c with a minor OC and minimal system cooling (I need a better case) and with the max secure zone temps being 105c I really should be capable to get a lot additional out of these if I seriously want to.Method Specs:Mobo- Asus P6X58D PremiumProcc- Intel i7-930 two.8GHz (OCd three.8GHz)HS- Cooler Master V8Mem- G.Skill Trident Series 6GBƒGBx3)PSU- Corsair 850W HTX ModularGPU- EVGA nVidia GeForce 465 GTX x2HD- WD Caviar Black 750GBMoni- Viewsonic 27" 1ms Total HD widescreenOS- Windows 7 Residence Premium

Works much better than my Sli GTX 260 setup. Runs relatively quiet in comparison, and is just as stable. Can't wait to get two of them. I hear it's hotter and draws far more power than the gtx 460, but I can't find 460's for close to this low-cost. Good card for the income. Ideal buy for sli on a spending budget. Two of these cards for about 400$ will outperform all 400$+ cards out there on the marketplace.

What a reviewer beneath mentioned about a 2 year warranty is incorrect. There are 3 varieties of 465 from EVGA. One superclocked and this 1 each come with a limited lifetime warranty. There is a third with common clock speeds ྡG-P3-1465-TR) which has a two year warranty. The AR (this 1) does have a lifetime. Nonetheless not a truly low finish (~贶?) DX11 from Nvidia. Good video card, overclocks like a champ. 800񳈰񳫈 and stays about 75C on load. Runs almost everything I have on ultra/high. Fan speeds just about in audible at 41%. Sounds like a breeze at around 50. 60% and greater and it's a blower. This card barely ever hits past 75C so fan speed in no way gets past 40-45 anyway. Runs hotter than GTX 460, comparable Radeon cards. Overclocking past 60mhz on core clock and 100mhz on memory clock seems to crash Starcraft 2 within minutes. Minor stability situation for some games I suppose.GTX 460 was the much better buy, but the 465 can be had now for 𞳤. Tends to make it harder to choose. I'm pleased with my acquire.

- Decent efficiency in most games if when resolution set about 1600s- Fit perfectly in my Antec 900 case- Totally unbeatable price tag- Got three no cost games, Mafia 2, Just Cause two and Metro 2033 (from EVGA), redeemed on Steam, worth 150 bucks- Came with 25 bucks mail in rebate offer you- Quite swift shipping, as generally - Runs seriously hot- Fan starts to get seriously loud when above 45%- Default fan handle computer software is not great for the cards health- GTX 460 (uses GF104 architecture) is reportedly quicker and cooler than GTX 465 (uses the original GF100 architecture) - Undoubtedly use MSI Afterburner and set fan control to User Define mode. It permits incredibly dynamic settings e.g. 40% fan speed upto 50°C and then increases linearly upto 80% at 80°C- Runs 43°C idle (reported by MSI Afterburner). LED display on leading of card reports 35°C. Maximum temperature following playing Mafia two for an hour: 68°C. Room temperature throughout this period: 24°C- GTX 465 is a failure compared to related products provided by ATI. That's most likely why nVidia is offering 3 new games to lure you into purchasing these- Wouldn't have bought if the offer you wasn't this excellent
