Mmmm, it runs??? Crashes (locks) personal computer consistently in Left 4 Dead 2, the temp right after rebooting is low 70's, what was it when it locked up???? Typing this evaluation with the case open and home fan blowing into case it's at 51 degrees, my cpu is at 25 degrees so I know it isn't a airflow difficulty with the case. This card is just outrageously hot!!! Setting the fan to run at 100% drops the temp down to 40 degrees but it is Extremely loud, and this is operating on the desktop, not running L4D2. I don't know if L4D2 would run with out crashing but operating the fan that loud is unacceptable, and how lengthy could the fan final at 4920 rpm? I will be requesting a rma tomorrow...

This factor WILL overclock extremely properly. I've only meddled with it a small bit and have gotten a 20% boost in frame rates, I'm confident some cards will even go more than the 800 mark on the core. Right now, it is a fantastic get, a couple of weeks ago, not so much... Ok, for those who believe that a gpu with an idle temperature in the 40s C is hot, practically each and every card runs around in this range! A gpu will take more heat than your cpu, so don't think that because the temperature is poor for your cpu that it is negative for your gpu. So unless you have absolutely nothing to be concerned about seriously, just make positive there is excellent airflow in the case. NO CONS I was seeking at benchmarking results for this and I just bought a second 465 to sli. Yeah, in sli, they are in a position to beat the 5970 (in some games only, not all).

Bought as in upgrade to the 5670 that came in a package Pc. Coming from a 2yr old machine, the 5670 was genuinely an upgrade. The GTX265 blows it away. Awesome card with an reasonably priced price. The GTX260's have been hitting remarkable benchmarks but I have no complaints about the 265 at all. It's too sexy.

the 465 was a great purchase in my opinion it runs all my current games at full specs alone, and if push comes to shove you can SLI two of them then you'll have more then sufficient power to run just about anything. Like most Larger graphic cards it takes up t ports and tends to cover a single standard PCI port, aside from that i have no complaints i think its kinda funny the series of the 480's it goes 460-465-470-480 the 465 is the only odd Number ^_^ thats one more cause i got it.

Comment:
This card is great as long as you don't have a CPU bottleneck which causes severe stuttering in some games. I at the moment am running a decently old Dual core Athlon 64 X2 5600+. So I'm stuck with semi old parts with one shiny new video card. I tested it on a buddies program who has a Phenom series 9850 so its not the newest architecture but it ran Bad Corporation 2 on Max settings with 32XQ AA with no a hiccup. Don't advise installing in a technique with a dual core processor unless you plan to overclock the wazzu out of it. you can nonetheless run older games truly excellent but newer games specifically newer games that are CPU intensive make plans to do the inevitable Mobo, CPU, RAM upgrade. Great price for performance.

Runs all games at present on high with no concerns.Very easily Overclocked with EVGA Precision.Plug and Play install with any windows 7 OS.On sale for about 赀 with a new game.(after rebate)LIFETIME WARRANTYŌx,3x SLI prepared. Runs slightly warm but its a performance card.Fermi is identified to run hot so anticipate 70-85 under load ie. games operating @ high 1920x ect.I advise having very good cooling in your technique to increase efficiency and longevity of your device's. If this card drops to around 贶 i will most likely snag it for SLI and grab a modular power supply while I'm at it =)If your trying to run all the games on high and not break the bank this is a great option along with a 460. If you want extreme either SLI this or buy a 300+ video card. I can't image for what although lol.

Effortless installation, excellent mid-range card with included overclock software. Lifetime warranty. The mounting bracket was bent all to hell when received. I gently bent it back into place and it was fine. Overclocks properly. Fits in my case, which is a fulltower lian li. I feel it runs fairly quiet, can barely hear it and my wife is happy about that.

Comment:
Fast, superior graphics at high resolutions. All the energy I expected and need. Really quiet. Not certain I would suggest although; read below. When I initially installed into my old case (also only a 500W PS), it ran very hot, and I had some graphical glitches that would result the second time I would load Starcraft two. I now have a new full-tower pc case that is Really properly air-cooled (and a 1200W PS) and I no longer have the prior dilemma. But the GPU still idles at 50-55C, and while playing SC2 with full graphics, runs at 65-70C. While this need to be a safe temperature, the identical day in the course of an SC2 game the screen suddenly went black and then the game crashed (don't remember the temps although). But in all this time, I have never observed the fan speed increasing when under anxiety. It is the exact same when under heavy load as when idling--which is about 40%. Employing the EVGA Precision tool, I increased the fan speed to 45%, which helped a bit and was still at an virtually inaudible noise level. Not enough time has passed to know for certain if the GPU temperature is to blame for my problems. I downloaded MSI Afterburner which has good fan speed control possibilities. I configured the fan speed to enhance linearly with the temperature starting about 55C. I wish the EVGA Precision tool had the identical flexibility. Perhaps I am just unlucky and have a somewhat unstable card?By the way, if the fan is turned up to 100%, it sounds like a jet engine! My overheating difficulties is certainly not due to the a weak fan.

Comment:
I bought 2 of these for my new laptop or computer and didnt have any problems with them at all and can run fairly a lot anything with out a problem. I actually like them. The only factor that is a issue is that they are extremely energy hungry and require a massive energy supply with the 35 amps that it requirements on each rail. Had to get the Antec 1200 watt becasue it has the amps you will need to have and it is not low cost. Strategy to devote some extra income on a power supply if you want to run these cards at 100% and plan to overclock them. Make certain you have a case major enough trigger the cards are very big.

This card is excellant installed the drivers on Win 7 64 Ultimate easly and began checkin frame reates. Modern day Warefare two it averages 90 fps. Have not but overclocked it but I hear it gets up to 20% boost with no adjusting volts. Just an excellant GPU. Its quite major but that is only a confor some. Runs a small hot. Under loads it sits at about 45-50c. Idles at like 28c so not to bad. I have already ordered a second for sli. Considering this card has like 90% effeciency on the second card. Very pleased with it. Most complaints I have hear pertain to rpice. If you dont mind paying 20$ far more for the card it is a wonderful choice.

Terrific video card, bought on sale. Runs properly, installed perfectly. I removed the previous driver by way of the manage panel in XP, for an HD 4870 512 mb, and then installed the driver. I downloaded the up to date nVidia driver ahead of install and ignored the add new hardware wizard, worked perfectly. Detected both monitors instantly, works terrific. Tested it in Morrowind, fps are double what they had been on the Radeon. Some thing to note: the shrink-covering was split along 1 end of the shipping package. It was still inside a box, but it was something to notice. The inner box itself, with the actual box, was also slit along one end. It appeared as if it happened in transit although, not by means of tampering. CPUZ verified it as a 465 GTX though, and the serial numbers on the box and card matched up. I think it was just a random event. Worth the income, specifically with a rebate. I personally think this is high adequate performance with out spending 300 for the best few cards, and if you only want to spending budget 250 or so get this card.

Quiet, effective, and it seems to be built pretty solid. It's about an inch or so think which created it a discomfort to get into my case. I use a Cooler Master HAF 932 and the card takes up two of the detachable ports on the back of the case. I was ultimately unable to snap those holder clips back into spot which resulted in an annoying humming sound that was apparently the card vibrating without having support.I ended up just screwing the card into position and then taping the loose clips to the back of the case so they wouldn't vibrate. My last card was a 9800GT, so this is a quite major jump for me, that's why I really can't compare it's efficiency in a way that would be helpful.

1st of all, I got this card for about 赙 AR. Got three no cost games (metro2033, mafia 2, just cause 2 and a sc2 trial). Managed to sold two games and the trial important. So in the end, I got this card for 货. Not poor.. Life-time warranty from EVGA, but you have to register your product inside 30 days of invest in Runs nicely. Had an problem with yellow screen immediately after alt-tabbing out of sc2, but that was fixed right after my new parts came in. I take it it is the fault of my old system. Not truly a fault of this graphics card in particular, but most of the graphics card these days have tiny screws which are not durable at all. Putting minor pressure on the screws with your screwdriver destroys the impression. I'll see what I will need to do to get that 1 screw out when I will need to take it apart once more lol.. I took apart the card to apply a new thermal paste (arctic mx-3). Now idles at ㅠC (stock speed) compared to 45C ahead of modification. Haven't attempted any games yet.

Pretty excellent bang for your buck, seriously. At least, at it's present price. With a bit of tweaking of the Nvidia control panel I've got a nice balance among fan speed and temperature. It's generally about 65 Celsius under load, occasionally crawling up towards 70, but that's with only letting fan speeds get up to 70% at 70 degrees and 60% at 65. It commonly hovers at 50 idle. A great deal cooler than what I was expecting immediately after hearing about 80+ temperatures on most fermis. I haven't located one yet. I could say size, but I think most men and women seeking into a card like this know what they're finding in terms of size. It didn't seriously trigger me any trouble receiving it in. With my air conditioning, it's almost certainly around 80-85 in my room commonly. Fahrenheit, obviously. It's significantly cooler than my previous 8800 sli setup, as effectively as quicker, and the fan doesn't have to get up to 100% to try and keep it cool.

Orderd card 6ቹ - had it 7Ǘ. As usually great service with new egg!Big upgrade from my 8800GT ive had for years. When it worked(see cons) it ran something i could throw at it with no issues. Installed card with latest drivers from Nvidia...five mintes at desktop right after reboot Black screen...PC robbots. OK mayyyybe one thing else did it i say to myself. Get into windows once again 2 or 3 minutes at desktop poof! Black screen once again. This time it locked up. Tried multiple drivers very same dilemma... Sooo at this time in RMAing it with EVGA following emailing thier tech support. Letrs seee how the subsequent 1 will do :( Long card.. fit perfectly in my Coolermaster Storm case. No modifications required. Auto runs hot. at idle with 40% fan speed it was about 46c. Playing games with auto fan on it would spike to about 82c with 50% fan. Turning the fan up to 70% temps went down to about 71c. Fan is really loud.

The card works fantastic. I've been running Starcraft II and Counter-Strike: Source on the highest possible settings and my FPS barely ever drops below 100. It doesn't say the power requirement on Newegg, and I only found out Following purchasing this card that it demands at least a 550W Power Supply. Contemplating mine is only 500w, there's not sufficient power to support the card AND my wireless internet, so I'm with out world-wide-web until my new PSU arrives.
