Great Card rips by means of all games with all settings on intense. Tiny bit disappointed on 3D functionality fps drop from 110fps to 33fps in 3D on single monitor. Bit disappointing for fastest single GPU card thats why four stars. I run a i7 920 @ three.8GHZ and 6GB Ram at 1833HZ so thats not the bottle neck for 3D functionality. Will be adding second 580 to hopefully see improvement.

I got it a day earlier than expected. Plugged it into the slot exactly where one particular of my old 88900GTS G92s went and kept the other 8800 for PhysX. Fraps showed 28 to 45 FPS in Crysis at 8x and Crysis Wahead at 16x in some of the GPU sucking scenes like inside the frozen sphere. The Just Lead to two benchmark was maxed out fully at 32x and I got 43 FPS. I employed 1900 X 1200 native resolution for the gaming benchmarks. No louder than the 8800 but a diverse pitch. Temps are 38 to 42 idle and 48 to 53 blasting the heck out of stuff with fan set at 75%. 3DMARKVantage went from 13,468 to 22,860 with PhysX on (which is a no-no is benchmark planet). I employed EVGA Precision to OC it in two methods to 800񳈰񳏀 so there is no purpose to acquire the Super clocked version in my humble opinion. Definitely awesome improvement on an old method. Keep in mind this is a DX10 board and PCIe 1.. None. I haven't upgraded the board and CPU to Sandybridge. Thermaltake 850 W PSU, Q6600 OC'd 3. GHz, EVGA 680i board, 8Gig DDR2 at 956 MHz, 300 G Velociraptor, Antec 900 with 4 120mm fans and the 200 mm on leading. 2-20 inch and 1-24 inch monitor, Dual boot Win7 64 and Ubuntu. I Enjoy Newegg! The coupon for the 2 games is via steam which is great.

This is unbelievable and chews up any game I throw at it. I couldn't even envision this card in SLI mode. This is a have to buy, no offence to ATI, but man this card kills any ATI HD card out there. I have it OC'd to 928񳒈 with no any problems. The cost-free copies of Mafia 2 and Just Cause two is a wonderful bonus as properly Not actually a con but the EVGA stickers were crooked on the card, I was in a position to fix it even though. High-priced, but you get what you pay for.

It can deal with any game I throw at it on max settings. Ran crysis two on extreme graphics and it handled it like a champ. Although it did get hot, but that was my fault for possessing the fan on relatively low. Mos def ordering a 2nd 1 for SLI in the near future. None all

It is a beast - will finally upgrade my monitor to 30 inch as I can set max settings on 1900x1200 on a 24 inch - vsync on in several games yields 60 fps (doesnt move at all from that level) using fraps. I haven't had the require to overclock it however. None - you get what you pay for. I like the notion of just 1 video card to maintain the noise and heat at a minimal - I have completed SLI in the previous. My old gtx 285 was nice but noisy in comparison to the gtx 580. I am glad I did not go for a second gtx 285 for SLI as it would have been even noisier and hotter.

Comment:
Purchased this to replace a poorly performing 560 TI. I can not be happier. The card stays cooler and runs much greater. I had a issue seating the card. I had to eliminate and remount every thing. This was possibly a dilemma with my original major board alignment and fixed only taking time to re-align my board, which allowed me to clean up some dust :) I don't believe I'll ever purchase the mid level cards yet again. This card fairly a lot sold me on higher end graphics from here on out. The 560 ti seemed like a great card on paper but it was extremely disappointing.

-It's correct to it's word. It is indeed faster and quieter than my previous GTX 480. I decided to purchase a 580 for a single basic cause. -By means of EVGA's Stage-Up plan, I'm trading my 480 in for the price tag of shipping alone(Ů.75), that's it! So when the approach goes through, I'll be running SLI'd 580s.-I get an added ten-20 frames more in all my games (vs 480) -I got what I payed for, how can I complain? EVGA will always be my alternative of GPU companies.

GTX 580 A single week immediately after very mild use, card started to have some artifacts in Crysis Warhead and Far Cry two. Card is now in RMA approach, just wish that since the card is lifetime warranty, wish that EVGA picked up the expense of shipping Both approaches not just 1 way. Now this card is costing me โ more than what I paid for it and now I'm receiving a refurbished card.Very first time EVGA client and may well be the final time. Hopefully the card EVGA sends me has no artifacts and operates excellent.

This card is brilliant. I owned the 5970 before this, and even though i was a wonderful card, the 580 supplied a far better gaming experience because Nvidia's drivers are just so a lot superior and you don't have to deal with the hassel of what games with function with a dual GPU card and What won't.Monstrous efficiency, and it in fact fits in my case (Antec P183) without possessing to remove the Main HDD Bays (unlike the 5970). None to speak of. The Value is steep, but I run all games and high settings at 2560 x 1440 and get great fps. That is definitely worth the cost!

- FASTEST SINGLE NVIDIA CARD YOU CAN GET- HEADROOM TO OVERCLOCK- RUNS COOLER THAN Previous GENERATION CARDS- GREATS Help FROM EVGA.COM - Lengthy CARD, HAD TO SHIMMY IT IN SIDEWAYS TO FIT- Requirements Both A 6 PIN AND eight PIN Energy CONNECTION My present rig is an Nvidia 780i Motherboard, Intel E8400 Dual Core OC'd to 3.eight Ghz and 4 GB of DDR2 RAM running at five-five-5-10. The CPU may be bottlenecking the video card, but I purchased this single card for a future investment. I program on upgrading the rest of my rig in 2 years and will SLI yet another 580 GTX at that point for cost saving measures.Overall, I am very satisfied with this card. I upgraded from two Nvidia 8800 GTS (G92) 512 cards operating in SLI. My average framerates trippled in most games. I was maxxing out FPS though operating 60 hertz verticle sync, so I disabled that just to see how several frames this card could place out max. The initial test was using a PhysX game, Batman Arkham Asylum on max settings at 1900x1200 resolution. I hit around 62 FPS.I then went with a new game still in beta, RIFT: Planes of Telara. I enabled every little thing I could to max settings and was pulling 45 FPS in RIFT. Conclusion: Acquire a single if you can afford it. (G-Low)

Extremely sleek. Quick. Reputable. Cost distinction among this and the GTX480SC when there is tiny true performance distinction. No included HDMI cable. They give you an adapter, two truly, but that's it. You have to go out and purchase an HDMI cable which averages โ at most shops.I paid โ much more that this 躧.99! For the value of this card and what you're acquiring, it isn't worth it. The GTX480SC is just as very good and it had an integrated HDMI cable which saves you even more. I bought this at a competitor due to the fact it wasn't offered here however. I wanted to test is for a consumer's potential make. Based on my report, my consumer has decided to acquire an additional brand and you really should as well. EVGA is also greedy of late not providing an HDMI or even a DVI cable with this card.Purchase the GTX480SC or a different brand, but don't waste your time and funds with this garbage.

Everything!!!!!!! This card is the fastest card on the planet appropriate now. I can throw a desk at it and it would handle it. nothing at all!!!!!!! I have three of these in SLI. They replaced my three GTX 480's, these blew them out of the water. Phenomal efficiency increase over the last generation. I have friend with a 6970, and we put them to the test in 2560x1600. My buddy had nothing great to say about his AMD/ATI card afterwards. He has been a fanboy of theirs for years, and with final generation he could not quit producing fun of Nvidia. Now he is asking yourself why he purchased AMD. 15%-30% increase more than the GTX 480. Oh yah I forgot to mention that the AMD HD 6970 did not win a single benchmark!!!

Amazing graphics in games, quiet, minimal heat output. Bleeding edge technology (for now anyway). EVGA appears to have excellent customer and product help. Size but it fit in my Micro-ATX case (but not just any micro situation). Price tag even though I know there are less costly alternatives and have been purchasing costly VGA cards for years and years. No loss of eggs as this is additional of an advisory. Everyone knows these cards are substantial and costly. Constructed a new Sandy Bridge system from the ground up and had this card picked out from the beginning and I'm not disappointed. All graphics from the desktop to net pages and games are stunning and devoid of problem. I go back and forth between nVidia and ATI/AMD and frankly they both sell us fantastic options. This is my new preferred mainly due to the fact I produced this modest type factor rig to sit on the desk next to me and it is so quiet yet has incredible overall performance. Did I mention that games play smoothly on my 24" LCD @ 1920x1200 with high settings? Quite great. This is like flying initial class...

Fantastic performance and image. The fan operates as it need to instead of waiting till the card is also hot then ramping up to jet engine speed like my gtx 280 did. I have this card connected by means of hdmi. Upon installing drivers I was asked if I wanted to set up sound drivers alongside the video ones. I chose NO. Immediately after finishing the install and rebooting, I was unhappy to see that it installed the hdmi sound drivers anyway and was now working with the lousy television speakers as default rather of my 5.1 setup. I cant truly list this as a con, mainly because it was my fault. This card was purchased to replace a failing gtx 280, but there appears to be small if any distinction between the two performance wise considering the income spent. If I had been to do it over once more, I would only rma the gtx 280, save 躔 plus, and call it a day.

Like other people have stated, this card will chew each and every game you throw at it. All my games run smooth as silk at max settings devoid of getting to go into overclocking. 1. This card is costly, but does the job alright.2. This card requires a lot of power to run, this card made my old 800w [cheap] PSU quit after five min. of Crysis. I was about to upgrade the PSU to a gold certified one particular anyway but it was impressive to see an 800w PSU quit like that. Now I have a 1200w gold certified 1 so that's not an problem any longer. I'm extremely happy with this card. I could've went the AMD route but I've been quite unlucky with ATI cards in the past. I'm not saying that ATI is inferior mainly because it's not. It's just undesirable luck.

WOW! This is Soooooooooooooooo strong! there is definitely nothing at all that this video card cannot MAX OUT and just ROCK OUT!.. any game, any application, any.. encoding process, is basic!I use this for encoding video graphics.. I'm a video editor, and digital animator, and web designer.. you'd think that a typical gfx card would be a lot for me proper?HECK NO! with no the power of this 580, it would take 25 hours to encode a quicktime video file that only requires 15 hours suitable now on my rig!OH YEA, DUH, it runs all games out there at max settings and .. it's completely thoughts-blowing!Someday soon I'm going to add a 2nd card, and do SLi.. I'm going to make complete advantage of nvidia's ŗd Surround vision" gaming.. which is Mind BLOWING! not only can you make computer games 3d on the suitable monitors - you can line up three identical monitors across a desk, plug em into a SLI.. one single game across 3 screens. native assistance in nearly all games. it's.. not no cost? EVGA's step up program is Amazing. originally I purchased a GTX 480... then, 83 days later (this is crucial mainly because the step-up plan only lasts for 90 days).... anyways, it was 83 days later thatn Black Ops was released (and the EVGA 580 came out also).. because i paid 躓 for my GTX 480 just 3 months earlier, i was able to send it in to EVGA.. and get this GTX 580, back,... No cost!

Go EVGA ,unless you have cash to burn & try a number of distinct one particular's before receiving to EVGA anyway.. Properly Value I suppose Cost , but the best constantly cost a bit additional ..Not real satisfied to see everything produced in China or yet another country this day's ..I wish to see a sicker with "MADE IN THE USA" Once more SOMEDAY !!!...UH,YA...Nicely..That's one particular consumers evaluation !!! I possibly Really should have Reserved my overview for later , Rather than posting it as of 1 day of ownership, but I purchased mine based on testimonials and I'm sure most others do as well..So believed I would post it now,If it had been those other CO's I would have waited ...Hope I don't regret it..LOL...But I do not believe I will..

Anything! My GTX 580 worked perfectly out of the box and the nvidia drivers work amazingly. Tumbs up to EVGA for their rock strong develop high quality. I picked one of these up final minute right after my old HD 4870x2 burned out and I am astonished by the overall performance improve and impressed by the excellent of the NVIDIA drivers as compared to these on my old hd 4870x2 which had been much less than desirable in specified texture mapping scenarios. I in particular appreciate the capability to totally use 3d vision even with easy cyan and magenta glasses out of the box; I can finally justify the expense of 3d vision getting noticed the 3D efficiency working with this gpu. This GPU has introduced me to DX11, has drastically enhanced the performance of my laptop or computer, and the icing on the cake is that it is considerably quieter than my old HD 4870x2, which sounded like a bloody hair-drier. In fact, this is running quieter than my corsair H70, a big plus considering it only adds slightly to the ambient noise in my case. This card is a bit pricey but somehow I managed to nab 1 for less than retail. When weighing the choice to buy and HD6970 or a GTX580, as I did, if your power provide and price range can manage it, go with this card.I am running the following equipment in my process:CPU: Intel socket 775 Quad Xenon x3380 @ four.2Ghz CPU-Cooler: Corsair H70MOBO: Gigabyte ga-x48-dq6RAM: 8gb PC8500 ddr2 1066 (Corsair and G.Ability) + FanGPU: NVIDIA GTX 580PS: ABS Majesty 1100W *(Gold certified)Sound: HT Omega Claro PlusOptical: LG Blu-Ray BD rewriter super-multi-blueHDD: 2x 1TB Western Digital Caviar BlackCase: Cooler Maser ATCS 840 Fan Controller: Scythe Kaze Master

This card Rocks!!! I can handle every game that is on the marketplace these days. Adore that you don't have to have a second video card to play your games maxed out. Fastest GPU on earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not something. I have been an ATI guy for ever, but I got angry with the drivers in their 5000 series that I decided to come to the dark side. I have now noticed the light!!! Nvidia might come at a greater value, but you get a item loaded with cool tech. You also have Really stable drivers with NVIDIA. I am sorry I did not see the light sooner.
