This issue can handle every little thing I throw at it. StarCraft II runs on all max settings with 3D Vision at just over 40 fps on stock settings. Even beneath intense tension testing this card stays comparatively cool. The highest temperature I have noticed was about 80C. I surely won't have to be concerned about upgrading my graphics card for fairly a whilst. None that I can feel of. You will need a hefty energy provide given that this requires an eight pin and a 6 pin energy connector. Just follow the manufacturer's recommendations on wattage and you will be fine.

Great, runs cool compared to the GTX 470 it replaced. I use a custom fan profile with MSI AfterBurner. Hit's 64/dg playing BFBC2 with high settings and high AA at 21/c space temp. Working with a HAF 922 case with the added 200/mm side fan. OC to 900/mhz at 1.088 voltage. Runs perfectly stable for more than three weeks now, not one particular hiccup. I could almost certainly lower the voltage but haven't tried yet. None I've run into I use MSI AB with the automatic fan profile. I never ever run it at 100% nor have I had any want. At 40/c fan is at 40%, 50/c = 50% fan and so on. I only have this card for gaming on a 24" LED/LCD monitor. No BlueRay, no multiple monitors, absolutely nothing unique so your mileage may differ.

Incredibly rapid. Runs smooth in every single game at MAX settings so far. Greatest card for gaming. Costly!!! Not sure if it was the card or MB style, but it can not fit to screw in with my MB. The video card clip is a bit brief to reach the crew hole. Darn it. So I tied it up. :)Not confident if it was the MB style or the HAF X situation style, but my EVGA GTX 580 and OCZ Revodrive X2 240GB cannot screw in with the case even when I forced it in, which make them loose with no screwing them in.My rig:Cooler Master HAF XAsus Rampage III FormulaIntel Core i7 950Nvidia GTX 580OCZ Revodrive X2 240GBCorsair Dominator 12GB 1600MhzOCZ ZX 1250W PSUZalman CNPS9900NT CPU coolerIC Diamond 7 Carat Thermal CompoundWindows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64

Oh by the way; when a single 580 can almost match or beat a 5970 than you a winner!!! absolutely nothing AMD could be much more refined, but when you are gaming, folding, or editing you want one thing with RAW power. Took my windows graphics score from 6.6 to 7.9. none so far hot, very hot. do not put in a low cost low airflow case. i upgraded to a haf 932 just for this card. im making use of a 650w power supply at the moment.. works just fine.

Displays look excellent and it seems genuinely rapidly so far. I haven't pushed it incredibly far however, but I will be when my Adobe CS5 Master Collection gets delivered. Will maybe re-review right after that is up and operating. I had some trouble with the DVI to VGA conversion adapter. I had to install a second adapter to get back and forth into the BIOS for setting up the method. I checked all the connections and kept switching in between the two adapters. I lastly purchased a DVI cable (which I was going to do anyway) and it popped proper up when I booted. The adapter problem was only a temporary challenge for me, but if somebody uses it and thinks the board is poor, which was MY initial thought, you could be sending it back for the incorrect purpose.

This is an exceptionally quickly and effective video card, but you already knew that. Just a list of pro's then:* Can be quickly overclocked by way of EVGA precision tool to match the SC version without paying extra* Lifetime warranty via EVGA* Step up program in case something superior 麎 perhaps?) comes out within a handful of months of your purchase, so peace of mind about creating a top rated of the line buy* Runs cooler and in a tighter temp range than the GTX 460 which it replaced ࿈-55 degrees)* Most games do not even come close to maxing the GPU. LotRO with every little thing turned to max on 1920x1080 makes use of 38%. RIFT with everything turned to max at the identical resolution utilizes 79%. Just an absolute beast of a graphics card. If you want only the very best, this is the card to get. Ordered on a Thursday afternoon and paid for overnight shipping. For my a lot of earlier orders, Newegg got factors shipped within a couple hours. This one conveniently took until late Friday to ship so that what I paid extra was worthless to me. Did not get the card until the following Tuesday due to a SNAFU with UPS. Incredibly not cool newegg. Wonderful card. I didn't want to penalize EVGA with an egg loss on the review mainly because of newegg's shady behavior. Just don't bother to spend the overnight shipping when ordering on a Thursday as you may possibly end up like me paying all the additional price to get the very same point as the low cost shipping.

Runs extremely cool. This replaced a Galaxy GTX465, which would run around 70c below full load. The GTX580 runs around 50c beneath complete load, and thats with the clocks bumped up to match the OC version. Plays each and every game with ease, and even cut down on video conversion time when taking MKV and placing it in AVI format. If your situation can only fit 1 card, this ought to be the one particular you get. Cost is high, certainly. I dont look at myself the individual who upgrades parts all that generally, so the cost set me back a bit. Also, its pretty big. I place this monster in a Dell XPS 420, and the fan sucks in air proper below the CPU fan. I left my case open to avoid excess heat from affecting it. Its laughable that I bought this for a Dell computer system, but I plan on building a custom rig in the subsequent handful of months. If you have the space in your situation, and can afford it, you wont be dissapointed. If upgrading from the lower finish models in the 400 series, you ought to see about a 20-30 fps improve with stock settings. Im certain it would be larger for me if I didnt nonetheless have a Q9400 processor and 8GB of 800mhz ram. And like everyone else stated, dont use the drivers it comes with. Go to the nVidia web-site.

Simply wonderful. The card is inaudible as opposed to my old crossfire 2900XT which sounded like a vacuum, ran at 85-90C, could blow out a candle and warm up my space by about 8 degrees in summer time (zero exaggeration right here)Not factory overclocked or "factory overheated."Runs Crysis 1920x1080 max settings and lol's at it.SCII runs perfectly smooth on extreme, even with four pop-capped armies in battle.Anything just appears to be straightforward for this card.. Really massive. Partially covers my sata ports =( but I don't will need all billion of them anyways. I am not an NVIDIA fanboy, so I can be trusted with this evaluation. I went for this more than ATI (now just AMD) because of the current driver/VBIOS GSOD concerns that forced you to void the warranty by going 3rd party and juggle distinct versions like you had been brute-force attacking a combination lock. I personally had to do this with my 5870. Bad drivers also plagued my 2900xt's for about 2 years. This card dropped in and worked. You get absolute, undeniable speed with these beasts. Price, but you get what you spend for.Heat, despite the fact that slightly cooler than the GTX480, when these are in SLI they can hit up to 80C even at 100% fan speed. Card performs perfect.. I've had no temp concerns.. It eats up every thing I throw at it. 60+ fps on all games on high res is excellent enough for me. I don't want to have 100+ fps.. Card installed perfectly.. was a good upgrade from my laptop's 260m. So good to be back on a desktop gaming machine. Screw laptops :) I wouldn't bother with a gtx 590 from the 580.. just get a 2nd 580 (it will out carry out the underclocked 590).

Ridiculously fast card that (finally) delivers on Nvidia’s promises for Fermi. Not as power hungry as the 480, solid drivers and user knowledge. Monstrous power consumption and monstrous heat dissipation (can double as a space heater). This is an outstanding card from a efficiency standpoint. Having purchased two for SLI, I would strongly recommend any person undertaking the similar be very thorough in their study with regards to case and cooling solutions for an SLI setup with the 580. These cards create a lot of heat and will need pretty aggressive ventilation. Additionally, just based on my personal rigs power draw, I would advise a 1200watt PSU to give you plenty of headroom. That said, if you want to game in 3d with detail maxed out, an SLI 580 setup is the way to go.

Overclocked to 910񳒈.Temps have in no way reached over 70c even though playing games such as Crysis 2, SC2 (can somewhat watch the final battle in Desert Strike on Ultra), DA2, etc. with just the stock cooler. Pretty pricey, but the ฮ rebate to put it at 蹶 tends to make it a tiny much better I guess? I had two MSI GTX 560 in SLI, but RMA'd for this instead. The GTX 560 SLI was good, but the top rated card was obtaining to virtually 80c when at load on the previously stated games in Pros. Ended up returning these two in favor of this one particular and though it doesnt get as high of a 3dmark score, the superior temps and the fact that I can SLI this card in the future tends to make it a greater investment imo.

Cons:-Hot with stock cooler-When stock cooler ramps up, can be loud

Pros:-VERY FAST-Large enough GDDR to play most game-Can gloat to people who aren't in the 580 club
Comment:
This card is an ABSOLUTE BEAST when it comes to playing games. This card can play any game on maxed out settings with ease on one monitor paired with the AMD x6 1100t OC to 4GHz. If my motherboard had supported it, i would have had an SLI 580 configuration. With this card, it is very easy to gloat to your friends on how high-end and "modern" your pc is. One problem with it, though, is that the stock cooler can get the GPU very hot. Luckily, EVGA supports the use of aftermarket coolers, so paired with this knowledge, YOU SHOULD GET ONE RIGHT NOW!!!

The card seem to function well with monitors Plugged two Sony Bravia 46" 240hz LCD TVs in to this card and it drops the sync on a single display or the other. The only way I could get it to run was 1920x1080 24Hz on one particular screen and 1920x1080 60Hz on the other. You would believe this beast of a graphics card could handle 60Hz on each (and more resolution settings) as such I'm not happy!!! This card is spectacular, I've been throwing each and every high-demanding game I can locate at it maxing settings and seeking for lag, or at least a temperature boost on the card. I've however to have any lag or a temperature above 60 degrees celsius (this is with stock air coolers that came with my card/case/processor and with out overclocking the card, as if you would need to have to). Wonderful frame rates, great response occasions, it's presently driving my 1080p 42" LCD HDTV. EVGA's tech assistance is remarkable. I named at 11ᛆpm EST and inside 15 minutes my concern was resolved (turns out the concern was with the motherboard, also made by EVGA, but with out becoming put on hold or any transfers they solved my concern), and I in fact got to speak to somebody from the U.S.! Picture that! The only con I have is that the hdmi mini to full-size HDMI converter that came with the card won't fit in the mini hdmi slot on the back of the card. It's too wide and catches on my case. This could possibly be an problem with my case, but either way it's kind of annoying I require a converter in common. I am having some problems finding it to run at the full 1080p but I feel the difficulties are with my display and cable option (dvi to hdmi converter).Don't use the drivers on the disk, grab them from the NVIDIA web page.also, it runs crysis warhead on max settings with amazing fps, gotta adore those bragging rights ;)RIG:- Antec Twelve Hundred Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case- CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V- Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition Gulftown (OC'd to 4ghz on stock cooler)- EVGA X58 FTW3 132-GT-E768-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3. I bought this to replace my heavily overclocked MSI GTX 470 Twin Frozr II and so far I've been happy. Overclocking is simply impossible with the stock cooler, so make sure you buy a good aftermarket fan if you want to get the maximum potential out of this beast. I definitely recommend the Zalman VF3000F.Overclocked 900/1800/2150 with the voltage at 1.138V, the load temps were getting up to 85 degrees Celsius on the stock cooler which for me is just too much. With the Zalman, it never goes above 65 even with Furmark/Kombustor stress testing. If you want to get one of the best cards on the market right now, this bad boy is definitely it. I always recommend buying a reference card at stock speeds. You get better overclocking potential compared to a factory preset.
