Totally rock strong, even with yet another ㅂ% overclock. What amazes me the most is not maxing out graphical settings in all my games (I expected that from the testimonials), but at how cool this card runs. With stock settings, it idled at about 40C and beneath full load it hit 75C. Employing a tweaking tool, I was in a position to transform the fan speed to run at 100% below full load, and it dropped the cards temp down to 60C! That's even cooler then my old gtx 285 beneath complete load at one hundred% fan speed! Not to mention, it only utilizes a couple of dozen far more watts then my old card, but cranks out nearly a ㅾ% raise in functionality. To me, this card is worth each penny I paid for it, and then some. None. Nada. Zip. Ridiculously quick shipping. Gotta enjoy living just an hour away from their warehouse. :)

Incredibly quick I personal two of these in SLI and plan on receiving a closed loop for water cooling to drastically enhance their life span. Came from dual 295 co-ops to these. Hot with the default thermal paste, had to take off the heatsink to reapply a much more effective paste, dropped temperatures on load by 15-20 cel and idle by 20.... Loads will hit 80 max now, just before it was at 92+ Nvidia produced the design really basic to take off the fan shroud and reapply your personal thermal paste so +cookies for that.

Rapid and steady. My final set up was a Quad SLI 2 295. This single card is as rapid as that set up in Vantage but given that it is a single card seems to carry out significantly much better in games. I am able to run Crysis in 1080 P in MAX out enthusiast mode. It runs at around 45-55 fps. Stays cool compared to my final set up nomore micro stuttering. The present Driver 263.09 is not integrated in the universal driver yet so if you have a separate physix card forget it. Only for folks with disposable revenue... Incredibly pricey. I was seeking on guru3d and the SLI 580 set up scales very properly. Searching forward to dropping an additional in.

Extremely fantastic top quality card, runs great. I will not obtain an nVidia card from any other manufacturer than EVGA. They have a wonderful warranty, and their support, contrary to other's experiences is fantastic. Other than operating a bit warm for my taste its great. I knew this before hand.Wish i had the money for two. I ordered the backplate and higher flow bracket from evga at the identical time, and to my surprise, when i opened it the card already had the high flow bracket installed on it.had i recognized this, i would not have ordered the bracket. any individual else have this happen?

Runs quiet and cool on anygame i've played. Scrored 1117 on the Heaven Benchmark v2.1 on Intense tesselation and 1947 on regular at 1440 x 900 resolution. (replacing the monitor with this comming week with a asus one that goes 1080p.) It doesn't make any noise when operating crysis or metro 2033 on max settings. Not confident where some of the complaints come from as far as it becoming loud or operating hot come from. I don't game with a head set so it isn't that I don't hear it. The card is just truly quiet which is a very fantastic thing since my final card sounded like it was taking off. My apartment with the fridge humming is at 54 db's on best of my pc with the heaven benchmark running on extreme its 53 db's(with the fridge humming in the background) . That ought to tell you how quiet it is for me at least. I have a haf x case with the stock fans it came with. The only con is the value. I would like to do SLI but at this point there seriously isn't anything that i can assume of that can test the card to its fullest asside from some intense and enthusist benchmark programs so i guess it doesn't matter. Honestly due to the fact i've gotten this card I've been downloading alot of demo's for newer games just to see how good the games look. I'm quite blown away at how the newer games appear and even games I personal on 360 appear like ps2 graphics compaired to how they appear with this card.

I installed two of them in SLI and get certainly awesome perfromance. I can run ANY game with all settings at maximum setting. It stays coll al the time. I program to overclock them soon. A really great purchase if you can afford them. Some may find them pricey but not that substantially versus the efficiency you get.

Hooked this up and away it went. I originally had 2-4870 video cards that always seemed to run hot when beneath intense use. This single gpu card runs greater and much, considerably cooler than the two cards did. I enjoy it! Price. I had a GTX 285 then moved to the GTX 570. Loved that but some thing just didn't click with that card with me. Named Newegg got a RMA on the 570 and paid one more 280.00 and got the GTX-580. I have read reviews exactly where they say the fan is loud. I can\'t even hear it. I thought it was not functioning it was so quiet till I opened my case and saw the fan moving. I play Black Ops and Hawk 2 and mostly Silent Hunter five. I have every single setting at max on everything and I am nonetheless finding more than 50 frames a second at 1920 x 1080 HD. Super rapidly graphics and chrystal clear and very smooth. I am blown away. Best video card I have ever witnessed. Was considering of going SLI but I don't want to. This card is the super clocked and it requires something I throw at it and is very cool. Not hot like I hear it runs. I am operating Rampage III Intense, 3.02 Quad Intel, 12 gigs of Corsair memory 1000 amp Energy unit, 2TB Cavlier Black harddrive, Bose Companion five sound technique, ASUS 27VK monitor LCD backlit. Cost was higher but I would have paid much more if I had to Just super happy and thank you New Egg for generating me a pleased camper. Waiting for X-plane 10 with Direct X 11

I've owned my 580 without having any troubles, heat problems at all. I idle at 41C and full throttle I'm at 77C max and that's immediately after a handful of hours of Crysis at total screen, enthusiast level, AA x16, complete inertia mode at 1080p. On a single card I run at 70-78 FPS. I bench marked 3d Mark 11 at medium level to 6902 quickly. Crysis 2 in DX 11 will be uncomplicated as cutting a cake with a machete. I'm playing beta version and it's really wonderful what this card can obtain. Talk about future proofing with all 512 processor cores at 384 bit running 1.five MB vram on a number of monitors is brilliant. I read the post below on an individual on the fourth card complaining about EVGA and GTX 580 and if you believe about it....four RMA cards isn't good service? Four cards poor? Highly unlikely. Try they don't know what their talking about or performing with their computer. Most likely don't know how to overclock and are frying their cards and feel like putting blame instead of owning up to it. Hundreds who own these cards and are loving the intense speed, and high quality of both games and video being displayed. Some of the stories are so outrageous or don't make any sense at all. I have a hunch it could even be fan boys who are feeling card envy and are setting up bogus accounts or posting bogus testimonials to make themselves feel greater after reading benchmark after benchmark from several critique sites that claim the 580 is the very best single GPU on the industry income can purchase. Set aside best bang for your income excuse. Clearly it's more cash and you get it back in energy and having the very best. I'm about ready to SLI a second card over acquiring a dual GPU for raw overall performance. SLI is a lot more strong than the new dual cards out or upcoming and and will be far better resolution anyway. The added money out weighs getting a much less effective card for much less for me personally.Apart from I'd rather deal SLI than the troubles that come with dual GPU cards from either camp. My 1 kilowatt PSU couldn't deal with two dual GPU's anyway and I only have adequate PCIe slots for two cards so operating two dual GPU's aren't an choice nor would I want to deal with it. On the other hand this doesn't apply to everyone simply because every individual will have different cause to which set up works superior for them. If you can only TRI SLI and want virtually quad energy then two dual GPU's are your answer if you have a PSU that can handle them. I'm not placing down other cards by going more than and posting bogus rating to drag the card down when it doesn't deserve it either. Purchase this card if you want the greatest, period.

EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 015-P3-1582-AR Video Card
Comment:
I say "fastest GPU" due to the fact the GTX 580 is the fastest single GPU that exists appropriate now (the HD6990 and GTX 590 are each dual-GPU graphics cards). Anyhoo this is a reference-style card (meaning it's made the way Nvidia made it) but the clocks have been upped a bit by EVGA for some additional oomph. They're not charging a extremely massive premium for it so no biggie; the included software program from EVGA lets you push the card even additional if you want. This card is an excellent performer in games - I play Starcraft II at 1920x1200 and "high" graphics - with this card I can preserve vsync enabled and it stays appropriate at 60FPS with no trouble. On "ultra" it's also quite capable but it dips down to 40FPS during some of the intense action. But for a single GPU to do all that... I mean come on, who's complaining? Also, this card has a complete-length metal heatsink on the inside that's thankfully bolted to the exhaust bracket for stability, so this card is very resistant to flexing and twisting! The stickers are super-high gloss and attract fingerprints. The card can run hot so I assume the default profile for the cooling fan is too low (i.e. lets the card run warmer and quieter as an alternative of cooler and louder). The card may well get too hot if your case does not have sufficient airflow as it throws a lot of heat off its back (the side devoid of a cooler). However, this heat load seriously is typical for any card of this caliper - heck, my old GTX 295 gave out far more heat than this and it wasn't nearly as effective. There's a special backplate available from EVGA; it's created of aluminum. Although it may possibly be counterintuitive to put a plate over the side that's throwing off so a lot heat, the aluminum in fact draws the heat off. If you have case fans blowing on the card it stays substantially cooler with the backplate installed. Superior grab one particular even though they're nonetheless available! The first a single I got came with a high-flow exhaust bracket already installed. This upgrade and can reduce your operating temps by numerous degrees. Just an FYI - superior pick up the bracket direct from EVGA just in case yours doesn't come with one as some of them don't.I feel the cooling fan is a single of the nicer ones - if you crank it up yes it's loud but all you hear is rushing air. The fan doesn't "whine" like some other people. If I hold my hand behind the case I can't really feel any airflow at speeds beneath 50% - for me, 58% fan speed appears to be a sweet spot but I can tolerate 65% speed or additional when gaming with headphones on. I have a Coolermaster Stacker 830 with the side fans blowing ideal on this card and the adjacent expansion slots open (to offer some exhaust for hot air). My card doesn't go more than 64C while gaming - even at the specs pointed out in "pros" above. The highest recommendation I can give: I really like this card so significantly that I purchased a different one.

Nevertheless, if you have it, why not flex it, proper? I'm operating that game at it's highest resolution 񢈀x1080) with *every* single bit of "eye candy" turned all the way up and most likely common 100-120 fps with vertical sync turned off. Rumor has it that this is a excellent card. Not fully functional upon receipt. Soon after a quantity of difficulty-shooting actions I am at present RMA'ing this item to EVGA. I believed it was a power situation, so upped my 700W PSU to 1000W; no assist. 2nd monitor blinks to black and has "noise" streaking across the monitor. Ended up going back to an old 9800GTX+ until I can get this device RMA'd. It's a shame as this was the integral piece to my new gaming rig. Hoping the RMA course of action goes smooth with EVGA, otherwise I will try to RMA with newegg.

Runs MW2 and Black Ops 1920X1080x120Hz in 3D without a hickup. The clarity is unbelievable. 3D Mark Vantage score for my GTX275's was 22874, the 580's scored 35414. Idle at 46-50C the same as my old 275's. The tessellation capabilities of the cards make the game appear lifelike. None identified with the GPU. Nevertheless, this is the 1st time that I have accomplished a rating, exactly where I did not purchase the item from the egg. I could not think how a lot they jacked up the price. (New beta drivers work too. I was possessing an challenge with L4D2) I have an older 9500 Quad-core method with a minimum overclock that needed a small shot in the arm.
