The card is practically silent and super cool at stock speeds. My card would set at 40% fan speed and 32 C and at 62 C 60% fan speed below gaming load. Practically silent even at 60%.I have overclocked my card to 860 / 2100 and under 100% load it sits at 69C and 70% fan speed. Incredibly solid effective card. A single of the finest cards I have ever owned Wife won't let me get a 2nd for additional folding / gaming power.

I have to say there are also several Pros to list. From overclocking ability, cooling, FPS, and so on. I run this card at 880񳋐 on stock heatsink and fan. That's additional than the EVGA For The Win waterblocked edition. (MSI afterburner is what I am utilizing to realize the OC) This card runs cool, at present at idle it is 33C with 50% fan speed 񢇢 RPM) and that's my fan profile. I'm confident it would run very cool at a lower percentage on the fan speed but oh well. Overall super satisfied with the acquire. Doesn't play games for me? In all seriousness I can't uncover a flaw with the card. The 590 came out less than a week after I purchased this card. I wish I would have gotten the 590 instead. That's my fault even though!

Truly, a card with top-notch efficiency. You're paying for throughput, and you get it. I've purchased a lot of eVGA cards over the years, and have been pretty pleased with them as a brand. Item arrived and worked wonderful initially. Within a couple of weeks, unit created sporadic graphical artifacts. I down-clocked the GPU RAM a bit, and it enhanced briefly, but soon got worse. I ended up RMA'ing the unit via eVGA and have had no troubles with the replacement.-1 egg since of the difficulty, waiting, and shipping expense.Appears to demand a unique version of the nVidia driver package that is particular for the 580 (it wouldn't recognize the nvidia 240 I utilized temporarily though I was exchanging the 580).Card does run pretty hot... appears to peak at 85C. The exhaust is fairly toasty! House is cold in winter, but hopefully I won't have issues when summer approaches. The fan seems to have extra capacity Make sure you register this card with eVGA right away. Each and every time *I* get a high end graphics card, it ends up dying. Granted, I've only ever purchased a top-end card twice, but each instances I've had to RMA it. Perhaps it's my negative luck, but it's genuinely irritating. I'll most likely in no way buy a top rated-of-the-line new release video card ever again.

Wonderful whilst it lasted. My card ran cool. Battlefield Poor Business two at 1920x1200 all maxed out with my 6 Core 1090T rocked the house! Makes your close friends say "Whooaaa" Died 2 days ago. I had to pay for the RMA back to EVGA and then for them to send it to my house. When a guy Drops 躔+ Dollars on a card I expect fantastic service. Its obvious that I like nice things, or else I'd nevertheless be on my 2x 465 GTX's operating in SLI, they ran fine. I have been purchasing EVGA products for years, I have owned 3 motherboards, 2x socket 775's with Extreme Edition Core 2 Quads and I have a Core i7 950 with a For the Win edition Mobo. So EVGA, just an FYI, I sent my card overnight to you and paid overnight to come back (over 贎 round trip). All these issues have been fixed and then some, I won't bore you with all the benchmarks I ran and the scores, lets just say I was blown away, watching the heaven benchmark run was so wonderful I nearly fell off my chair! Overclocked this beast to 855 core,1710 shader,2211 memory and have alot a lot more room to spare will push it much more nowadays, it desires cpu power as nicely a excellent overclocked cpu will enhance your numbers,I'm running i7 960 at 4.022 ghz. Why anybody would want to invest the funds to sli these is beyond me, it's far more GPU power than any sane individual will need! Totally 100% without a doubt NONE!

This card is an absolute beast. Has completely devoured anything I've thrown at it with no sweat. EVGA Precision software program is excellent. Upgrading from an EVGA 9800GTX to this was like night and day. Lastly really feel somewhat proud of my machine now(i7 920, 580GTX, 3GB 1333 DDR3 triple channel, 240GB SSD OCZ Agility 2 as main drive) Runs quite hot by default, make confident you get the EVGA computer software for tuning. I max out the fan anytime I play a game and under load it hovers around 50c-55c. Attempting to run in auto, even Minecraft had this card operating at over 70 degrees following a few minutes. Overall very pleased with this card. Would like another. Nevertheless, am glad I grabbed the EVGA Precision software when I did else I may have burned this card up.

Incredibly quickly and really stable. Drivers appear solid and I have had no difficulties with several games. The card is quiet - same or much less than my old GTX 295. Installation was fully pain free. None This card replaced my GTX 295 which was rapid sufficient but drivers had been unstable. I had numerous games that would crash mainly because of the video (black screen but sound nonetheless functions). The upgrade to the GTX 580 has resolved all the complications and obviously it is a very fast card.

Im so content I waited 3 Month to finish my gaming rig I knew that 580 gtx was going to come out soon. I am sorry for folks who have purchased GTX 480. I believe the 580 is like the others are saying what FERMI need to have been on the 480 gtx. Can't wait to try it on my pals 3d alienware optx. It's large, so make certain you have location in your laptop or computer case ! This card replace the 8800GTX that was 600 $ back in the days . What it indicates is that the 580GTX is the BOMB ! By the way you can still find the 8800gtx for a high cost even today simply because they are uncommon now too.

This card is perfect for me since I play really a few older games that do not support SLi, so I want a lot of strength in a 1-card resolution. With this, Ever-Quest 2 runs fantastic at Extreme Quality Although 2-boxing, and Oblivion has by no means been smoother at the Maximum Doable Settings. I have tried a couple of new games like SC2 and Negative Organization 2, they all run great, no clipping or low frame-rate issues on max settings! Had to skip on Dining out for a couple of weeks!

Really high performance, but high cost. If you purchased this item, your obv. not seeking for a cheap item tho. (a complaint I see WAY to frequently, you don't need to have this quality, then go more affordable)Highest DX11 single GPU card in existence. (from just about every other evaluation I've seen says so at least)Scores properly on heaven benchmark with high settings with a mediocre processor and ram (I5, 4 gigs, I require to upgrade)Scores... bearable on extreme, but I can't complain. Stepped up from a 8800, and my benches on 3DMark Vantage were brought up 10x. EVGA item, so make darn positive you register it. Doesn't get any much better than lifetime warranty! Runs hot, but it is to be expected, and with fan at 100%, it dwarfs the five fans at 100% on my THORE case. No want to bump the fan up that high tho. No genuine surprised cons tho. If you have the income, and don't thoughts going dual GPUs (I personally don't like dual, would rather sli two 580s when I can afford it) I would go with AMD HD 6990 over the 290, even tho I am additional partial to Nvidia. O/c, that is prob. irrelevant to this evaluation.

Wonderful card. Runs cooler, quiter and more quickly than the gtx480. Price was same when gtx480 was released. Big amount of ram. Still runs hotter than amd cards. Want 2 cards to do 3 monitors. If dual monitor setup is distinct resolutions, card does not go into an idle state. Buy this card if you are just plain sick of having to choose an select excellent settings and resolutions. This beast plays back everything i throw at it at 2560x1600 res.

Quick and smooth at 1920 x 1080 resolution. I can play any game with absolute smoothness. Really really Quiet at idle and really really reasonable at load temps. They are way quieter than the 5870s I replaced. This model is overclocked which is nice even if not that large a difference. Load temps are only about 75C so far for me which is excellent. Lifetime warranty from EVGA. Have overclocked so to 825 core and memory at 2100 with no troubles. Newegg is reaming people today as they have their 10% off promotion on all their video cards appropriate now and so they jacked up their rates. No doubt the Egg wants to have folks acquire cards other than these as they have a massive stock of genuinely costly applied to be high finish cards like the 480s, 5870s, and the 5970s in stock and will need to move them out or lose income, but at least they could have paid for shipping on these cards. The worst component is that if you purchase more than one card you will nonetheless only get 50 dollars off. Nonetheless quite great cards.

Quite fast GPU, runs all existing games extremely properly at 1920x1200 with 4x Antialaising. Cool operating card, idle temps with default fan speed are about 42º C. I run the fans at 70% whilst playing games and temps can get up to 70º C, which is a small high but absolutely nothing to be concerned about. Support forums are extremely good, drivers don't have support for manual fan manage but EVGA has released a BIOS update for the card to permit this feature. Drivers function quite well and this card is still fairly new, but in comparison to stability vs my old GTX 280 there seems to be a slight issue. Future updates need to appropriate this, but absolutely nothing to be concerned a consumer for a good buy. I extremely advocate this card to any 1 searching for a video efficiency enhance. It looked cool when I opened it.. but. . . Card DOA :( RMA'd to newegg as replacement only to get a refund because they have no inventory. Installed the card upon receiving it, booted up the method and installed drivers as always... restarted the pc following clean installation and my whole program crashed to a black screen then reboots. I had to restart in secure mode and do a method restore back 5 days! reinstalled the drivers w/ out the HD audio drivers (some 480s had this issue) only to get the exact same black screen result. System restored once again... installed drivers w/ out HD audio and did a clean install wiping all my settings then disabled the HD audio from the PCI bus for the video card and still black screened out.I guess I'm the unlucky chum who got the poor card and has to move to the back of the line :( -2 eggs for a dead card. Ư egg back for EVGA's 24ǝ beneficial technical support staff. Personable, friendly, expert... Quite thankful for the assist I received at 11pm PST. I wish Asus and Blizzard would take some tips in the telephone tech support field from EVGA. -1 egg for limited stock and putting me back in the waiting line! I'm an impatient American like every person else!I also made the bonehead move of trading my buddy my GTX 295 for his GTX 260 for a PhysX card. Now I'm stuck playing on a GTX 260!!! I've down graded!! No egg loss here, that's my own fault.Excited to get this card again! Waiting for the Hydro Copper 2!

Quite Rapidly! Runs Cool and Quiet! EVGA has the very best VGA customer service I have ever dealt with (ive been purchasing EVGA cards since 2001). This card destroys the competitors! At the time of this assessment, you can get a copy of 3DMark11 (the newest 1), limit is one Ƒ) per customer, so if you obtain several for numerous people, be certain to register them accordingly. None. I have 2 of these operating in SLI and I have yet to come across any game that can beat down these cards, running at 1920x1200 on a Core 2 Quad Q9650 ʄ.1 Ghz with 8GB RAM and 2 600GB Raptors. I upgraded from two GTX 480 SC's and im my testing/benchmarking, these run about 10%-20% quicker depending on the game/benchmark. They also run much cooler, under tension GTX 480 ran about 91C-93C, these run about 82C-85C. They also use less power, I would say about 5%-10% under load, and they idle incredibly low (power and temps). This is truly "Fermi" done proper, NVIDIA has without question fixed all that was "wrong" with GF100, aka GTX 400 series cards.

- 1.5GB DDR5 on a consumer grade card- Factory overclocked- Insane performance!- Distributed by the reliable EVGA- 100% compatible with 3D Vision and 3D Surround- Works amazing with iZ3D Drivers too - Expensive- Windows Encounter Index only give it a 7.8 -- Guess there's no such factor as perfection! ;) System Requirements are a factor of the past with this poor boy. I identified myself taking my games to the next level, cranking them up as high as they go on 1920x1200, with no performance dips. It was truly good to be able to take games like Grand Theft Auto four above the 1GB VRAM usage level and let this card function its magic!Bottom line is, if you got the cash to put down, put it down on this card! While it is a small bit expensive, you will not have to upgrade for a long time.

At 1920x1200 all the newest games average at 90 FPS with every thing maxed out. If I switch to DX9 FPS shoot up to 200-250! To be honest there's still not that significantly of a distinction visually between DX11 & DX9. You seriously have to look extremely closely and in a rapidly paced game there's basically no time for that. I also could be bottle-necking the card with my ancient set up (saving up for Sandy Bridge).Card idles at 43C and hits max of 86C under full load. I have a incredibly old case with just 1 92mm exhaust fan. Intake is passive. So if you have a decent case, your temps will be considerably far better. Card is really quiet, I basically don't hear it, idle or load. For me this is a dream card (replaced HD 4890). Can't see any.
