What the 400 series really should have been! Quieter, cooler, more quickly! I am in like yet again with my Pc. My MoBo is only setup for one particular GTX580! Or else I would have three! No cons, great card! If you can afford it purchase it! I bought a 470 in November of 2010. Was OK with it, I fried it a week ago and notice that the 400 series was going out of production and costs were climbing. I splurged and it worked out properly!

Constructed Solid by a extremely well established corporation. This thing smokes any card I have ever purchased and blows by any game I throw at it with speed and good frame rates. If you know what your carrying out and read up in the EVGA community this card has lots of choices and regardless of some of the comments from people that don't know what they are carrying out. The card with the factory fan don't run hot. This is if you know what your performing and create your system appropriately. It makes me sad to see people today providing a wonderful product a poor evaluation simply because they don't know what acceptable heat ranges are and don't take the time to read up on how to much better what they have. None....... Well the price could be a small lower....lol....But its not out of line if you evaluate to marketplace rate with other cards of identical performance. If you get this card please make positive you don't cram it in a tiny stock dell case with poor airflow, then you wont have to blame everybody else due to the fact the card is operating hot.....lol....All jokes aside this card desires room. Its not modest so get you a complete size case and space the point out a tiny. I guarantee you will enjoy it if you build your method right and understand about Tweaking + Benchmarking.

EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 015-P3-1582-AR Video Card
Comment:
These are overall excellent cards. IMO they are really GTX 485's but then once again who can figure out the logic of Nvidia's naming program often? Anyway, idle temps at 100 percent fan speed went from 48 degrees C. with GTX 480's in my situation to 36 degrees C. in the exact same situation with the GTX 580's. I haven't checked temps when in use but I'd count on about the same improvement based on other critiques. 3dMark Vantage at performance level on my Pc: 2x GTX 480's in SLI: 39661. 2x GTX 580's in SLI: 46404. This is with PhysX on for both tests. So, just with that a single benchmark about a 15 or 16 percent improvement. So, among the heatsink and the card itself, they run a bit cooler and with a bit much more performance. None for me, they are the similar length as GTX 480's so if you have a smaller case you ought to measure to see if cards virtually 11 inches lengthy can fit. Power requirment is lower but these nevertheless are sort of power hogs, so I'd nevertheless recommend a fairly hefty PSU if you're running two or 3 in SLI. They run COOLER, but not cool per-se so make positive you nonetheless have decent airflow in your case. One suggestion, the ten percent promo code is only if you order 1 card, if you try to order two in the identical order they will only give you the code for the initially card. I didn't consider to attempt this until immediately after my order was charged, but maybe if you want two cards for SLI to do two seperate orders. (IMO the promo code should perform for Each card, otherwise why not just order from EVGA directly then? Their price is about 50 bucks less expensive. So I don't see any concerns with this workaround if it works personally).

Comment:
Compared to the GTX 480, the GTX 580 runs faster, cooler, quieter, and with less power consumption. Tests have shown that 2 GTX 580s operating below high load use 40W+ less power than two GTX 480s. None. Upgraded from the GTX 480s I had in SLi. The GTX 580 SCs had been PnP, specially given that they use the exact same drivers. Dropped them in the slots, booted up, W7U recognized them devoid of concern (it did take a bit for that process to total). Rebooted, appropriate res was set at boot up automatically 񢒀 x 1600), EVGA Precision two.02 effectively recognized the cards and applied the fan profile, all I had to do was enable SLi. Couldn't have been simpler.

I began with 1 of these cards when they came out and was incredibly impressed. I have due to the fact added two additional to total my three-way sli, and I swear the lights in the residence flicker when I start crysis 2, but wow what a difference. These cards are absolute beasts, yet they run amazingly quiet. If your forced to stack the cards which I am now that I have 3, they will heat up rapidly below heavy gaming, though it is managable with precision or any tuning plan that permits you to crank the fan speeds.

EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 015-P3-1582-AR Video Card

Sometimes will run games at really high FPS. These cards have a myriad of concerns that I have uncovered. 1.They do not have proper driver help which is a initially for NVidia, and a actual deal breaker for EVGA since all EVGA does is slap a stciker ona reference card and release it. They have no capability to release right drivers either. two. EVGA as a company has gone downhill more than the final couple of years. They are not what they were when I bought my 280, and they are not what they had been prior to then. They have turn into a fanboy club however. I fear the end for EVGA as they have forgotten what made them what they were 2 years ago. three. Assistance has gotten really poor, and if you occur to reside in EU then prevent this business mainly because they have myriads of posts about poor service for EU buyers, and lies about their warranty which was *supposed* to be lifetime. EU customers got shafted with element numbers that did not have a lifetime warranty eventhough they were advertised to have it. 4. These cards have severe stuttering. To exampand on point Ţ, these cards have servere stuttering problems in games FPS will drop to close to slideshow in mnay games, and then just randomly choose back up, and it can do this several times in games. These cards run HOT, and eventhough the sales pitch is they run cooler, they Nevertheless run as well hot. Had I not installed watercooling on my card it would be operating in the 90's! That is horrible. Heck 70 is also dang hot. These cards oroginally had BIOS issues, and EVGA slipping a "Ninja BIOS" in by way of unlocking the fan to run at complete 100%, but also in that BIOS were fixes they didn't even warn users of. This is a single of the mnay stunts i have caught them redhanded in. I will not be buying a EVGA item once more. I've seen way also mnay unfavorable posts on their forums, and way too a lot of scams. There are significantly superior cards out there anyway. I regret that I wasted this kind of funds on a card, and wish i would've got a far better card greater performing card from an additional manufacturer. Manufacturer Response:Hi,Firstly I would like to say that if EVGA does not have fantastic client help, I would not be responding to this email personally.Secondly, I would like far more specifics on the difficulties you are experiencing, please speak to me directly at jacobf@evga.com so I can work with you. Please also reference your post when you send the email. The BIOS Unlocker is a special update that EVGA offers for it's cards only, the only update it does is enable you greater flexibility when adjusting fanspeeds.Relating to your GPU temperatures, they are perfectly fine and nicely within the operating specifications of the GPU.Thanks,Jacob

Finest 1 card solution on the industry period. Plays any game I have at highest resolution maxed without stutter at stock specs. No overclocking required. Crysis - enthusiast mode, AA 4x, complete screen, blood, complete weapon inertia, with no issue. No other 1 card can actually say that.EVGA Precision software program handles the auto fan with no having to manually adjust the settings and allows overclocking if you really feel to go additional which is currently more than acceptable out of the box. 3DMark 11 software program free of charge when it releases with your registration with EVGA although supplies last by requesting your code at registration right after uploading your invoice at member log in.They also have a life-time warranty (AR) on the GTX 580 item though I've never had to use EVGA for RMA issue yet thankfully so can't speak from expertise.Offer a 90 day step up program from obtain date with a retail or e-tail acquire. High value to be king of the hill one particular card answer. You can go SLI GTX 460 Hawk Talon Attacks or Crossfire AMD 6870 to beat the one particular card for 蹬 but only exactly where two card games are supported anyway. Fan is fairly for me anyway. I'm not sure why some say it's loud fan simply because I don't hear it. At least not more than my two-200mm, 1-140mm and 1-120mm fans I have front, prime, side and back. If you want a uncomplicated a single card that's awesome appear no additional accept for yet another manufacturer like MSI. No headaches attempting operating two cards with driver or heat troubles. Beside the double GTX 460 or AMD 6870 is only going to beat the single GTX 580 exactly where two cards can be utilized otherwise your far behind the mark from this GTX 580.Two GTX 580's SLI will slaughter any other two cards you can throw at it which includes the AMD 6970's.

Quite fast, upgraded from GTX 275 to this and it's truly wonderful. Runs cooler than I believed. Fits in situation just like the GTX 275. I was seriously disappointed to locate out newegg's "Superclocked" which is the same as the "for the win edition" from EVGA straight, is 60 bucks a lot more. Way to suffice for that -โ 'limited time offer' give newegg... That's a small kick to the groin for lengthy time loyal customers. But efficiency smart, fantastic item.

Plays any games maxed out in resolution. New beta drivers even enhanced efficiency higher than I originally started out with. Nvidia drivers are really stable and haven't even matured on this card however being pretty new. I can't afford two, even though don't want two for high end gaming with this single card anyway. I've owned mine considering that December and it's a beast of a GPU. I'm fragging players in first person shooters as if they had been moving in slow motion. GTX 580 = not being pawned.

Fast.I can finally play games appropriately on my HP ZR30W 2560x1600 monitor. Not the coolest card about with the stock cooler. I don't wanna know how hot it's gonna get below load for the duration of the summer. Hope to have it on H2O by then. The first card I had created memory corruption immediately after a month for the duration of which I barely applied it for gaming and ran stock clock speeds only. Had to RMA naturally. The backplate from EVGA's internet site seems to make the stock fan less noisy at larger speeds.
