I applied this board to develop my friend a gaming pc out of a 9600 GT and an Athlon X2 4000 CPU. He's a Macintosh guy and was genuinely surprised with the performance of the method and the stability of Windows 7 on this board. The modest method I built can play Crysis on all high settings in DX9 mode. Shipping is a bit costly and slow.

Replaced old ASUS 939 for my kid. This nVidea chipset seems bullet proof. Have a Foxconn 939 w/ very same chipset, no issues for final three years on XP...Sold on Foxconn...Athlon x two 5000; D-link wda 1320 and 2 x 1G Important DDR 800. Installation effortless. No video output; nothing came out at all on the monitor. Not even the dreaded blue screen of death. Foxconn tech support is apparently all on line, no tx quantity to speak to a reside person. On their forums, there had been three other men and women who had the exact same challenge as I, and their inquiries had been not responded to. I tried the e-mail make contact with and my inquiry was also ignored. I've applied Foxconn cases in builds prior to and have been pleased with them. Very first time to attempt their motherboard, and am extremely disappointed. I'll go back to the tried & accurate Asus board I've been employing.

Excellent board if you're looking for a low budget however powerful method provided you add the additional componets to make it a beast. A earlier reviewer stated that this board only has 128 MB of onboard video RAM and that is incorrect. This does truly have 256 MB of onboard video, but you can configure that to a lower setting by means of the BIOS if you run into a problem with the chipset.I have put an AMD Phenom II X3 720 which is an AM3 CPU and have had no troubles. The max frequency the RAM will go to on this board is 1066 MHz which isn't bad considering the system and you can dual channel (or gang them as the BIOS states) extremely quickly. 1 extra note to program builders is becareful on your option of CPU's. This board will only manage a 95W CPU and absolutely nothing else. Any attempt to put in a higher wattage CPU will cause either 1 or both RAM slots to fry. The position of the IDE header is not to my liking. If you strategy to move componets from yet another Computer like I did then you really should look at going straight to SATA and get rid of any IDE or EIDE componets you have. Unless you want a ribbon stretched straight across the PCI section and in some builders cases this just won't work.1 other problem I have is the placement of the SATA ports. If your case is like mine, you will have to get rid of every thing out of the PCI section just to effortlessly plug in any SATA device. Also if you have front panel audio ports (headphone/mic) on your case do not expect them to operate in Windows 7 with this board. I have however to effectively discover a driver set to make them perform and the drivers that accompany this board will not install on Windows 7 nor will Windows Update acknowledge the ports even getting there. If you're seeking for a extremely straightforward low budget gaming Computer then this board will meet that require though I would advise spending the extra money on something a small more up to date.A final note I really should add is that if you do strategy to install Windows 7 on a method with this board then make sure to get a graphics card. You can get a decent 1 GB video card from this web page for around 贄 and it'll be worth it. Even though this board has 256 MB of video RAM, Windows 7 will automatically suck up 1 GB of RAM to add to this (or less if you don't have 4 GB's like I do) to compensate what it wants to run Aero properly.

Worked just like it must. We need to boycott Foxconn till they understand that serving driver downloads at 25kb/s is negative company. The Motherboard driver disc was defective on arrival (the hole in the center was too major???) and I had to download the drivers from their web site. The whole procedure (downloading only) took two hours!!!! Seriously...that's ridiculous. DO NOT Purchase their merchandise until they're willing to provide support at a level constant with this decade or at least the last decade. I haven't noticed speeds that slow given that early 2000's.

Had it rigged in the old optiplex case working with the lid intrusion switch to reboot the motherboard. It's nice to have an on off button that doesn't call for me to open the case and a couple more usb ports. :)

Color coded connectors! Why don't all manufacturers do this?!I had to take one five second glance at the instruction manual and I had this thing up and operating in no time!Contacted their support team for giggles, had a reply within the hour. Can't wait for them to come out with some greater end AMD boards. Couldn't locate any, and I looked actual tough! Honestly, I was a bit worried about this till I had it in my hands. They do develop the hardware for phones and game consoles so it makes sense yo get into the PC scene.I was pleasantly surprised by how nice a board this was.I used to be an Asus only guy, but I would highly advise Foxconn for individuals who are new to developing PC's simply due to the fact of how friendly the manual is. Even my mum could fully grasp it! That's how straightforward it is to read!

uncomplicated to set up. works proper out of the box (once installed that is) with windows 7 64bit. no hassles. no front line-in or firewire connectors. does not have pci x16 2.. Very basic motherboards with out a lot of extras. But for this price (ื.99 + Ū ship) I can not complain. I got this motherboard to replace a dead ASUS motherboard for an "older" personal computer that I had laying around and wanted to make use of as a "tv/web" laptop. I was really expecting far more perform than it definitely took to set this motherboard up. I did not even have to install any of the drivers that came in the CD. I just took out the old motherboard, added this 1 and put every thing back on it and started it up. Had a small challenge with my HDD connectors (but it was my fault, one component was slightly out). Once every thing was set, it booted right up..no problems. Set up with Athlonx2 5200+ǘ GB ram뢒 GB HDD/ATI Radeon 3650/Hec 585Watt PS/windows 7 ultimate 64bit. its perfect for a "tv/computer" that can also manage games like sc2 but not stuff like crysis.

Rapid delivery Onboard video did not function. I normally have good success with Foxconn motherboards but this was turned out to be poor. I installed almost everything and it powered on but the onboard video did not work. I attempted several points prior to I contacted Newegg for RMA. I still give Foxconn a 4 out of five rating because this is my 12th motherboard I have bought from them and its the only poor 1 I have had. 1 out of 12 is a great ratio compared to other organizations. Newegg gave me an RMA with no hesitation. I will nonetheless acquire Foxconn motherboards.

Also runs windows 7 w/o a hitch. two ddr2 slots, restricted overclocking ability (not expecting a totally laid out OC'ing menu, but why not if your gonna put those selections there)

Little and great for what I necessary it for. Got this nearly two years ago and it is still going robust. I don't definitely require a high finish motherboard. This 1 has some overclocking features and they do function fairly well. I had this motherboard paired with a Brisbane 5200+. It ran definitely very good. About a year ago I found an 240 x2 on sale and had been wanting to see if this board can manage an AM3 like stated. I popped it in and it ran excellent! It nonetheless is today, paired with two gigs of ram and a HD4850 I am able to run a lot of games fairly well. Occasionally when getting the processor overclocked the BIOS gives an error about the frequency. All in all it's a pretty solid board. I am pleased with my purchase! Purchased this board right after my older Socket 939 1 absolutely burned out.

Very effortless to set up, good economy board. Onboard vid is fine for office aps, surfing, and Basic games. Don't anticipate bleeding edge performance although. If you're looking for a uncomplicated, low expense board for a spending budget develop this ought to fit your needs. There is no case speaker connection obtainable in the front case connections. Not a huge deal to me, but to some it could be important. I applied this board with a Sempron 2100 dual core and 2 gigs of Wintec DDR2 800. My Daughter has been making use of this practically 24ǝ for the past numerous months with no concerns. All parts bought from Newegg of course!

Superior cost and the board works. The manual was detailed and hardware installation was a breeze. Simple BIOS setup. The driver CD from Foxconn did not install drivers appropriately (XP OS) and the video driver was useless. It forced the lowest display settings. Downloading the driver directly from Nvidia solved the issue. Don't bother with the Foxconn driver CD.

And the built-in RAID method will hang on boot even if disabled if an concern is detected with any of the disks or DVD drives. I had this and had to replace the DVD drive as well.
