RAM Worked wonderful right after install, It elevated my Windows 7 Rating. I had to reset my bios in order for my computer system to boot. That was most likey cause by my old overclocked memory, which i replaced with these 2X2 gig memory sticks. Other than that, its RAM! You get what you pay for, but these ones are very good. No heatsink?

It functions fine so far. No errors whilst gaming/browsing/transcoding and so on. None Windows 7 Knowledge score: 7.3Some have listed no heatsinks as a Con, but its genuinely not vital. I touched 1 of the chips just to see and it was lukewarm at finest.

As swift as it gets for 1600 ram at this time.Won't get a far better cost per performance for 1600's HATES AS-ROCK(using the - sense the genuine name is a swearword according to new egg lmfao) boards. Do NOT pair these with an As-rock. G-skill 1333 and below are fine although. Besides not getting an As-rock board stick of ram it seriously doesn't get any superior for the cost correct now.Windows Performance Score : 7.three at 7-9-7-25 1600(best I could get on As-rock)Just obtain em they won't hold your program back unless you've spent more than 2k on the rest of your elements.

Functions like it really should [or the most component] Would not function on my motherboard that has a incredibly wide range of DDR2 bandwidth 𖙰g]. Was employing it for yet another pc anyway. Was giving it a test run just before I built the complete pc. Wouldn't be stable with an OC'.In all fairness it does what it was goign to do, so...its good. Manufacturer Response:.Dear ConsumerThank you for your G.Skill obtain and assessment. Glad to hear the memory is working well in your program. It is odd that it did not function for the 760G chipset, this kit need to be compatible with most DDR2 motherboards. As far as overclocking, you will need to have to raise timings or voltages to accomplish overclocks. Runs at advertised clocks ƕ-five-five-15) at regular voltage, without getting to do manual or "performance" setup. This is critical, due to the fact numerous other makes and models of memory call for particular setup or don't in fact run at advertised specs. It doesn't make espresso :P Seriously, it's RAM. If it doesn't make errors and it performs as specified, there can be no cons. No gimmicky heat spreaders. Heat spreaders are not the main implies of cooling memory, and they expense much more and take up space. They don't make a distinction unless you are going for a maximum overclock and have to run your memory overvoltage. If that is your game, this memory is not for you anyway.

Quick, price is correct. 1 of the stick is FAULTY, passes memtest86 BUT that particular stick will crash Windows XP, Win Vista, Win 7.Causing random MEMORY CONTROLLER related crash. The second stick is FINE, works great. I have tested them individually and combined. It takes place i guess. On it's way to Newegg for RMA.Hope to see some superior luck with the new set.BTW, great support from NEWEGG.CA Manufacturer Response:.Dear CustomerWe are sorry to hear the memory is not working properly. Good RAM by g.skill. It works fine, and does the trick. No heat spreader covers, so the ram looks plain. Great RAM, but for a few bucks far more, you can get the pretty red color version. Red g.skill and a cup of coffee, forget it!!!!!

It works? Not positive what else to say, it works, which is far more than I can say for the OCZ stuff I replaced it with (trying to RMA as this is getting typed)It's setup for standar 1.8 voltage, which is good for stability and longevity. My other stuff was set to two.1, and it was riddled with issues. It doesn't knit me sweaters, or bake pies I don't have any other thoughts.

It's four gigs of ddr2 ram on two sticks. fantastic upgrade for any older rig if you had been just performing 2gb or less. none actually. the pcb of the sticks felt a small wobbly going into the slots. but it snapped in just fine. it may have felt a small additional solid with a heat spreader. but that's a little beyond the industry this ram is targeted at. ...truth be told, I'm very happy with the product. But I bought mainly because I read all of these reviews from you guys and saw G.Abilities responses to all the troubles posted. these guys are obviously paying attention to customer feedback and I believe that's fairly cool. I'm traditionally a Corsair guy, but I have an old 1gb 533 ddr2 stick of g.skill in an old box chugging along no issues. So these guys have a thumbs up in my book.
