Worked so well - I purchased a different set! See beneath. Know your hardware, specifically your motherboard! I lately purchased a new motherboard (Intel DP43BF) and the GSKILL 4GB ƒx2GB) DDR3 RAM. Upon initial boot, I received the 3 beep RAM error message. Pulled the sticks out, reset, reboot -- repeated a few occasions. Soon after some savvy "Googling", I discovered (on another RAM Manufacturer's forums) that in order for the DP43BF Motherboard to recognize RAM 2GB or higher, the BIOS desires to be updated several instances. 0088 did the trick for DP43BF. This is not a fault of the GSkill DDR3 RAM! I purchased 1 stick of cheap 512 MB DDR3. Updated the BIOS. Pulled the small stick, place in the major sticks -- and VOILA! i got 8GB of this ram, runs perfectly with my Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3. Gave this pc a fantastic enhance from my old rig which was DDR2 wish it was free, but 50 dollars for 4GB can not beat that price tag very first time working with G.Skill incredibly impressed. Right after about a week of use, almost everything appears stable on this construct, the memory runs puppy warm. Timing / voltage information on the box was valuable.
