Affordable. RMA'ing this memory for the 2nd time. 1st original set gave blue screens immediately. Second set was fine for about 5 months ahead of the machine started finding tons of BSOD's again. Removed 1 stick and it has been operating fine all week. Swapped the excellent out and put the poor back in -- instant BSOD on Windows bootup. Definitely not a very good 1st experience with G.Skill. With the quantity of time I've wasted on troubleshooting and expenses of shipping, I really should have just went with the tried and accurate brand I've usually employed and never ever had a issue with. Saw all the positive critiques and figured I'd save a couple of bucks. I won't make that mistake once more! Off to the post office to mail back the bad stick. Tired of paying to ship manufacturers defective products back. Manufacturer Response:.Dear CustomerWe are sorry to hear your memory has develop into defective. Appears fairly trustworthy but it is usually somewhat of a gamble with personal computer parts. It operating is truly the only Pro a set ram requirements....but I've also had no challenge OCin this to 1600, haven't tried anything higher. it is 'only' DDR3 1333. AMD boards can really 'only' officially support this anyway but most will effortlessly let you OC upwards to 1800. I've been making use of a single configuration of this kit for a even though now on my AMD PC and decided to go a head and upgrade to a different set and increase my total ram to 8GB. I expected small to no enhance in laptop games, tools like dreamweaver and Blu-Ray playback but was surprised at the modest increase in some games (notably Metro 2033).Anyway, the old set of ram is certainly fantastic, and the new set that arrived has been performing nicely also.

At the time I bought this, it was 1 of the lowest-priced RAM selections I was searching at from a organization whose name I recognized as a decent brand. I bought this RAM for my desktop method at home and had good luck with it for a few months, and then recommended it to my five-member team at perform, which placed an order for even much more RAM. Soon immediately after that I had a DIMM which developed errors, and now two of my team members have had to RMA a DIMM as well. I understand occasional troubles do come up with RAM, and the G.Skill RMA approach is reasonably speedy and straightforward. But to see this percentage of poor RAM coming from the same company makes me want to avoid them in the future. Manufacturer Response:.Dear CustomerWe sincerely apologize about this, it is incredibly odd that many modules have gone poor. Please send them in for RMA so we can have them replaced immediately. I applied 2 of these in my newest gaming develop. All four sticks showed up on time, and non where DOA. My mother board (AUSU M4A79XTD EVO) installed them both at slower timings, further more both dual channel kits installed at seprate timings.... havent seen this befor. I sent G,Skill an e-mail requesting the timing info as their site is fairly useless for that kind of factor. see other thoughts all and all they function great, not impressed with a lack of paper work/info on internet site about timing's and setting, but everyone appears to brag about their customer service, time will tell.I would acquire them agin at this point although. Manufacturer Response:.Dear ClientWe are sorry to hear you hare having concerns. This memory is above the regular, so manual settings are needed. Once you configure timings correctly in BIOS, the method need to operate smoothly. The timings are on the memory and packaging, that is what the memory is rated for, so those are the settings you really should input. This memory is great for most typical laptop or computer users. I built a computer with this memory and an i5-750 and she loved it. I in no way had any challenge with the memory, but there's often MEMOK if I did. I wouldn't say there are any cons, but the timing is good for the price and NOT for overclocking, although you very easily could. Manufacturer Response:.Dear CustomerThank you for your G.Skill obtain and assessment. Glad to hear you are satisfied with the memory package and it is operating properly. They look good, even although you wont truly see them. Had them over a year on my comp and some that I bought for a buddy of mines. My buddies pair had one fail immediately after a couple of months, yes sometimes this happens with just about any brand deal with it lol. Did RMA with Gskill uber pro RMA and got a replacement no dilemma. Mine even so are nonetheless running wonderful no errors except when Im abusing them lol. I'm really pleased I got these, If you get them for gaming they are excellent not the lowest timings but decent. You wont genuinely need far more then this is if it's just for gaming.

Scores 7.five out of 7.9 in Windows 7 performance index. None but thankfully. Thought I would post an updated assessment because 4gb of this I've owned for more than one year now without any complications at all. I added 4gb additional in the final two months. Fantastic memory and adore the fact that ought to one thing go wrong, it's got a excellent warranty behind it.

Update to assessment posted in June. RMA'd to GSkill. Really uncomplicated and somewhat fast. Took about a week total for approval, shipping and return to me. Raising my overall score for this item to three eggs. Haven't had a chance to test the new set, so I hope I'm not jumping the gun on re-rating this product. Must in no way have had to RMA. Had to obtain additional memory to satisfy my client. So I'm out if pocket 贓 now right after return shipping. Hope I can create a system to use this in fast. GSkill has a pretty good RMA program. Not a Entire lot to say about memory. They're super quick. They are an attractive blue.Fantastic heatsinks.I'm a diehard fan of G.SKILL. It's all I develop with. Excellent value, fantastic excellent, wonderful performance. None. Compatible with Foxconn A6GMV AM3 AMD 690G although there is a slight quirk. When I went to set the timings, which by the way are Cas 8, 8-8-8-21, the board for some reason took the Cas 8 and read it as Cas 6, and the 21 as 19. Therefore, I set it to Cas 10, and 23, and it then read it as Cas 8, and 21.If you paired these sticks with the similar board as I did, I hope you come across my assessment. I was confused too!
