DDR3? Initial off, I bought 3 stick (as advertised). 60 days immediately after I bought the ram, 2 of the 3 sticks died. I installed them flawlessly, I don't over clock, I take care of my equipment. I generally don't write evaluations a lot but I felt compelled to prevent you from getting this item. DO NOT Obtain. I asked for a refund and got the shaft. Remain away from this unreliable RAM. 6gb, triple channel. fairly. Newegg shipping. cost is fair. I initial thought the memory was defective due to the fact I would get blue screens in Windows 7 and random kernel panics in Mac OS. immediately after inspecting the bios, I noticed the timings weren't set properly and it was running at 1066. fixed the timing/voltage settings and haven't had a challenge considering that. if you are getting difficulties, check your timing and voltage settings in the bios to make certain they are 9,9,9,24 and 1.5v. and verify that the memory is running at 1333 as it ought to.

Got two Kits of this stuff so I have a total of 12 Gig of RAM. Right after I ensured my buildout functioned, I ran Memtest + to make sure every little thing worked. It does... fantatstically, I use a lot of memory simply because I develop test virtual networks in VMWare. None None

I would say that it works, but it doesn't. As you all know, this is 6 gb of RAM. Most of the time, it only shows up as four gb, and lately only 2 gb will work. I know it's now a problem with my motherboard. I have 2 defective sticks and only two gb of RAM. I even went into BIOS and manually set the DRAM frequency 񡾵). Make certain you change BIOS settings to get right speeds to tCL 9 - tRCD 9 - tRP 9 - tRAS 24 - Command Rate 2T, and DRAM voltage of ӭ.6v(might be missing a setting or two in there so read by means of evaluations or e-mail G.Skill for support) None but. Worked fine for building a new program at initial. Speed and timings function fantastic right after set correctly in BIOS. Initially, the memory was recognized by Win 7 64bit as 6gb but only two were "usable". I'd in no way noticed this difficulty before and essential to research this issue. Soon after updating the new motherboard (Gigabyte X58A-UD3R) with the most current BIOS and setting the timings manually, it booted up appropriately as 6gb (with right timings and triple channel) and properly utilized all 6gb. Even so, on following boot-ups, it randomly shows 2, 4, or 6 gb as "usable" and refuses to use the "hardware reserved" portions. I've read this is occasionally a problem with G. Skill memory in Win 7 or that it could be a motherboard issue. I thoroughly tested the motherboard and do not believe it is faulty. I've applied G. Skill in the past and had couple of issues with them. Even so, I am extremely disappointed in this item. I do not at present advocate it due to its poor reliability at operating at any capacity much more than 2gb. These components were being employed to build my girlfriend her initially "non-Dell" personal computer and she is ... devastated ... at not becoming able to use her new shiny personal computer for another week or so. I have submitted an RMA for replacement to Newegg and will update this assessment right after I get my replacement. Adding in the extra shipping costs for replacement and delay in employing her new pc, this product is no longer a "good deal for the funds" in my opinion. the memory looks nice, particularly with the heat sink I could be ignorant. So I am not rating this item as 1 star but. But I got 12G of these memory, put in my new t3500 precision, and it says only 1066mhz. What's going on here, anybody, which includes G.Skill people today, can aid me here? Wonderful memory for the price! I have this kit installed along with the G.SKILL 3GB Ɠ x 1GB) kit and it gets a 7.6 WEI score at stock speeds and timings! I should have manned up and got one more 6GB kit rather of the 3GB kit but I was attempting to save a couple of bucks at the time... but 9GB is more than adequate! Newegg's delivery took less than 24 hours from order to arrival. RAM didn't post appropriately. Installed in an ASUS P6X58D in the second bank; initial set was Corsair XMS3 6GB, worked perfectly. These three wouldn't post. Switched them around; sometimes machine would report 8GB, sometimes 10GB, from time to time 6GB. RMA'd, got another set of the Corsairs and 12GB later, I'm all excellent.Asus stated these would work with my mobo but the BIOS said otherwise. I'm sure these are solid sticks, I just didn't want to wait about to see if the subsequent set would be far better than the 1st. Rapidly!! Non Extremely fast RAM!! G Skill is a great organization. The red metal surrounding it is quite firm and looks cool. 6 GB is plenty for an average everyday user like myself. Have not expertise ANY lag even though multitasking. Good product and will def acquire once more if needed. It says its for Intel I7 on the packaging but works with tons much more so don't get confused.
