Comment:
Wonderful timings, great for any i5 build, quickest sticks for the funds. Felt a little tight going in, don\'t forget to use the flat areas on the sides or you may well bend a fin. Also, if you haven't read any of the other comments, the timings do not default to the advertised timings - you have to tweak the timings in your bios. Not hard to do with most mobos/manufacturers, but be conscious. Perfect fit for any significant gamer, but enthusiast overclockers with bottomless pockets ought to maintain searching.

Works at rated specs I hate getting to manually set timings in BIOS. I know this is widespread in "overclocked" memory, but why can't the SPD table default to rated specs. Maybe its to make confident the memory at least boots before you set timings? I know its distinct, but video cards come factory overclocked without having the finish user having to overclock it themselves just to get it to perform at rated specs

Nicely, this seems like amazing RAM. G.Skill is fairly dependable and leading notch with us custom builders... Why I opted for this set. So it's a bummer when something like this occurs: One of the sticks was a poor apple (DOA). Laptop or computer would not post with defected module present. Tried each stick individually, and personal computer posted with the working stick. Took working stick out and installed other stick, red mem led on mobo was lit up (meaning a difficulty). Cleared cmos with defected stick, nonetheless no post. Took it out, put other one back in, laptop or computer posts and works just fine. RMA'ing as we speak. Even though I got a negative apple in this set of RAM, not going to hold a grudge with G.Skill. I have another set of G.Skill ram in a different personal computer and it's working flawless. A component that's "DOA" just goes along with the territory in common when custom constructing and ordering several components. It occurs. Manufacturer Response:.Dear CustomerWe are sorry to hear 1 module is defective. Regrettably due to the nature of DRAM products, random defects may happen which is why we offer a lifetime warranty. Great RAM. Work well paired with a Gigabyte 990xa-ud3 motherboard and a Phenom II 955. Have not overclocked yet, but I had to manually set the timings to 7-7-7-21.

Bought this kit for a new build with an Asus M4A87TD-EVO and a Phenom II X3 720BE. Program started up with out a hitch. I've unlocked the 4th core and overclocked cpu to 3.05ghz which has taken the memory to 1440 without any troubles even at the 777-21 timings. None yet. These were really good value for low timing DDR3 memory. My mother board didn't recognize the memory's lower timings (never saw a board that did) and rather set them at the regular 999-24 initially till I went in and changed them.

Cas latency 7, it is rapid. ddr3 1333 it runs at a quickly frequency. only 1.5v. Really, Incredibly rapidly. None. Make sure you have the clearance for the heat sinks attached to these memory sticks in your case and for your cpu cooler. Contemplate G.Skill's lower voltage version. I didn't see it prior to I bought these. They use 1-five watts much less but are of the very same speed and efficiency. No sacrifice in anything and much less heat to add to your personal computer, win, win. Oh and you save $ off your electric bill, I know its not a lot but it's one thing for nothing.

Cons:be careful when choosing your cpu heatsink/mobo as the teeth atop the ram may conflict

Pros:cheap, overclockable, lower clock timings
Comment:
I bought these for my i5-760 Asus P5P55D-E Pro combo. I've since come back and bought another 4 gig. Now 8 in total. As mentioned in the cons section, I did have a little trouble fitting the cpu heatsink on, but it turned out fine. My CPU chip happily o/c to 3.6ghz with this mem keeping up.

Worked great for about 5 months. Defective soon after five months. RMAed but g.skill has not acknowledged they received the ramed sticks, nor responded to my emails. Took days just to get an rma. I had exhausted each testing technique i could carry out so I was forced to use a neighborhood pc shop to run diagnostics. They confirmed it was the ram and said they had observed these models of g.skil memory failing alot lately. This has been confirmed over at the MSI forums as well. Won't be getting g.skill again due to lack of client service. Manufacturer Response:.Dear ConsumerWe apologize for the inconvenience. All emails are responded to within 3 business days. If you do not get a response, please e-mail us once more or try a different approach. RMA numbers are usually issued exact same day, so it need to not take a lengthy time. So if your memory becomes defective right after a couple days, weeks, or years of use, we will exchange it with a new replacement with out question. Solid and rapidly, completely no difficulties. Had to manually set timings but I knew that, with low latency memory timings usually have to be set manually. None genuinely Unless you have an very high end MB with selection for Enthusiast or Extreme perfomance settings. My ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe picked up the GSkill ddr2-800 performance settings and adjusted settings automatically.I know it's a Processor memory controller dilemma(AMD AM3), but I wish I could run my 4 x 2GB sticks at 1T timings like I did with just the initial two x 2GB sticks. Other than that, wonderful memory. Been with GSkill on last three builds. In my opinion THE best on the industry now. Did try Mushkin once, didn't run at advertised speeds and when I tried to rma I had to dig up all kinds of proof that I had bought them. Not with GSkill, you got their memory and it don't function they replace it. Simple as that. I'm a lifer to GSkill now.

The RAM, when it decided to function, worked quite decently. If only it could maintain that up all through it's lifetime. Laptop or computer refuses to turn on with the 1 stick of ram in it now. I assume I'm just the % margin of failure, so I'm not holding it against this company too significantly. Can't constantly be perfect.I went for really a few months with enormous BSOD memory errors but I fear attempting to deal with consumer service more than the massive blue screen killing my work. On the other hand, now's the time. Off to deal with customer service for quite a few, numerous things. Unlucky year for me~ Manufacturer Response:.Dear CustomerWe are sorry to hear you are getting issues with the memory. The price was suitable and the timings tight! 1 stick out of four died immediately after 2 days. Waiting for RMA replacement. Also, proper about the time I was figuring out that I had a bad stick, Newegg put the 2x4GB kit on sale for much less than I paid for the two 2x2GB kits I had just received. I would've returned each sets for the 2x4GB kit if not for the restocking charge. Oh, well... at least I still have two excellent sticks that are working Great! Works at rated timings on a GA-880GMA-UD2H with a 1055t Phenom, but I had to set the timings and voltage manually in the BIOS. Haven't tried overclocking however, but once I get my replacement kit and a new video card I'll possibly commence pushing the bounds a little bit...
