Looks good. Functioning good with AMD platform. None Most boards will read JEDEC timings which are 1330mhz with 9-9-9-24 timings. XMP are 1600mhz with eight-eight-eight-24 timings. So yes, most will have to set timings manually in BIOS. Using the auto overclock in ASUS supplied overclock utility I was in a position to acheive a stable 1700mhz with 9-9-9-24 timings. No complaints here.

Great functionality, Very good Price, Even looks very good with ASUS M4A87TD EVO motherboard. Just about got the CL 9, but a Tech at GSkill recommended the CL8 for new AMD builds. 1 stick was negative, but my Phenom II 560/B60 ran amazingly fast with just 2 GB on W7 64 bit. Straightforward RMA authorization, Ordered yet another set and sent back the very first set after installing the new 1. NewEgg provided the return shipping and processed the RMA promptly. Noticed that NewEgg has 2x4 kits of 1600 CL9 on sale this week for 贗, Oh Properly! Had trouble diagnosing why my make was flakey, The W7 resource manager noted 'Hard Faults', but defined them as swaps to disk and not necessarily a problem. The diagnostics incorporated with W7 did not uncover any troubles at all. Ended up downloading MEMTEST86, the stick that was OK passed in about 12 minutes, the undesirable stick stopped the test right after about 7. I would propose using MEMTEST86 just before loading the OS on a new create, at 12 minutes per stick it could save you a lot of problems shooting and reloading time Manufacturer Response:.Dear CustomerThank you for your G.Ability obtain and review. We are sorry to hear a single module was defective. Please send it in for RMA and the new kit should operate far better. Soon after installing memory, generally run a memory diagnostics test to confirm they are error free of charge. While all G.Skill modules are pre-tested, it does not mean none will be defective. Due to the nature of memory solutions, random defects can take place. If you have terrible settings, errors may possibly happen as properly, so testing is the only way to confirm the method is totally stable. I had to adjust the variables in my bios due to the fact I have to overclock my motherboard to help the 1600. Operating at 1600 8-eight-8-24-1t. Heat spreaders look to operate well. Running stable and low voltage. I am working with a XP-120 heatsink and they are as well tall for dimms 1 & 2. Had to use three & four. Bought some OCZ 2x2GB SLI 1800 to run at 1600 in a Gigabyte 770 @ 1600. They wouldn't run at these and only 1333 with high timings. But passed memtest. Got rid of these and got these. These are a lot cheaper and run much greater. Plus a voltage of 1.65 vs 1.9. Put them in a Gigaybyte 770-UD3 with a AM3 720 & ATI 4850 for a HTPC.

Appear decent. Have good testimonials by other individuals... The program runs (doesn't lock up) with the memory at quoted timings, but Memtest and Prime 95 show memory errors even at relaxed timings. What is worse is that operating test file backups shows file coruption such that I don't trust copying any actual files. Not seeking forward to weeks of RMA shenanigans. Even if the memory has a lifetime warranty, it doesn't appear worth a lot when you aspect in your Computer becoming out of commission for weeks or even months just to get replacement sticks.I'll send an e-mail to G. Skill support and see what I get back. Most likely will obtain an additional brand and just consume the price to get the Computer back up and running promptly. Manufacturer Response:.Dear CustomerWe apologize for the inconvenience. Please make sure memory settings in BIOS are adequately configured. If you continue to have difficulties, attempt testing every single memory module individually to determine which sticks are defective. If only one particular, basically return it for a new replacement. You can retain the very good-working stick to avoid downtime. Operates with ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 AMD 965 鲽w)Installed four sticks ƘG total) went straight to bios and booted OS. with out any bios adjustments.I adjusted bios to specs of ram and has run stable with 600hrs+ with no shutdowns or restarts.Default setting was 1600 just had to adjust timings and voltage a tiny. temp is constantly about 38C or roughly 100Fmounted in really properly, seems as if there is a lot less slop in the slot then most other ram, could be a slightly thicker pcb (just speculation of course)overall specs, temps, look, high quality, and set up is extremely good. 1rst set: Free of charge shipping took 12 days. not certain how that translated to 4-7 days as advertised but it did sooner or later make it.2nd set more than evening, made it to me just before 1rst set did.not neweggs fault of course and not a ram situation naturally just quite annoying when you have a down process that really should be running 24ǝ. I do like the fact the heat spreaders are the similar color as the heatsinks on the MB, it gives it a extremely clean appear, as if it was made just for this MB or some point like that any techniques. It sits just beneath a big cpu cooler with just sufficient space to not touch, so any cpu cooler will work with this ram. I really like how snug it fits in the slots, there's no play in it what so ever and you seriously get that conformation click when it's seated. I like when I know things are seated in the slot with that click. further far more as opposed to other brands boasting about how there ram is Intel blah blah blah compatible, so does this BUT it does not imply it's incompatible with each and every point else as opposed to other brands ex.ocz. If i could get this exact ram in a ECC version it would be excellent. I run OS in ram squashed gentoo so the expense for this ram and 8G of it made it a steal.
