Worked out of the box. Unlocked the AMD 2x 555 black to what it calls a 4x b55. Bios to hybrid, ACC to Auto. All Ram auto, SATA set to auto and AHCI enabled. Well, I took off one egg since right now, when i use the ACC function to unlock my cores, my SSD drops ideal off the bios, no AHCI no IDE,.. it just isnt there. No Issues with normal SATA and SATAII drives. Gigabyte blamed A-Information, A-Data stated they by no means heard of it, and thinks its Gigabyte. Used this motherboard in a technique I built for a buyer. Contrary to a few of the other critiques, I identified it to be a seriously good board for the price. Easy Tune 6 is not junk. I paired this board up with an Athlon II X three triple core and Easy Tune 6 unlocked the 4th core in a flash! If it didn't unlock a core, most probably that other core was poor anyway. I also installed 8 GB's of G.Skill DDR3-1333 and it fired ideal up! Right after I loaded everything on the system the buyer wanted, I ran a stability test overnight. It took a pounding for 12 hours beneath continuous load and was nonetheless going sturdy the next morning. If it can do that for 12 hours...it's a excellent system. I'd say.....if you're seeking for a decent, moderately priced motherboard that can deal with your needs.....buy this one particular! The board also has 6 Gb/s SATA's and USB three.. What additional could you ask for at this price? Two IDE connectors are somewhat overkill. I personally don't use them anymore. Gigabyte needs to eradicate these and include more fan headers. Bottom line....I'm not taking away an egg mainly because of this. This motherboard comes with an outstanding instruction manual, at least a 1ǚ" thick and with a lot of photos for reference. Great board, top quality develop, thick PCB that does not flex like some less costly boards None at the moment The boards shipping now are v1.4. The F8 BIOS installed on the board will NOT unlock the AMD Athlon II x2 555 processor. If you change the settings in M.I.T. to try to unlock the 2 cores, the board will fail to boot. I had to use a screwdriver and brief across the reset CMOS posts in order to get the board to reset.

Good efficiency, exceptional options in BIOS and computer software, solid overclocking, fantastic value. On board video is fantastic sufficient till I can get a better video card. Network died on me following about a week. Not an problem considering that I have tons of 10럼 cards laying about, but nonetheless fees an egg since I had to dig by way of my old hardware boxes to locate a single and crack the case to install. I could have RMA'd the board, but it's not worth a NIC to get rid of the board, wait for the exchange, buy new thermal paste and reinstall everything back into the case. Operating with an AMD PhenomII 965 Black Edition, quad core, three.four Ghz, 125W. Ubuntu 10.04 and ten.ten Linux runs well with every little thing detected and no difficulties. Identical with Win7, 64-bit.The board states it supports Hybrid CrossfireX, but I can not come across a list of supported discrete video cards anyplace. I guess I'll just have to obtain a single and see if crossfire functions.

Great functions for a tiny board, good assistance from the Gigabyte web site, economical, straight forward assembly. 1 case fan header appears to operate ok because you are dealing with a tiny form element. PCIE graphics card and power supply vent directly out of the case to manage cooling. Works good for my HTPC and mid level+ gaming rig for my HDTV. If you use a double wide graphics card then you seriously can only use the PciE x1 slot. The other two are blocked by the graphics card. I put in a Hauppauge 1250 Television tuner in the open slot. On board graphics heat sink feels loose. Ram slot ş is extremely close to the CPU heatsink, I utilised slots 3 & four rather. Stats: 3Dmark2006 score 1,850 with MoBo graphics chip, 14,500 with Evga GTS 450. Tricky drive transfer rate 102 MB/s. This is by far the greatest "little" case I have worked with. It is really roomy and "COOL". Not only has a cool look but temps with 3 HDD and all the goodies are about 36c. It actually has two fans, one particular in back and one in front of the HDD enclosure. I didn't get a book .. but for me no huge deal. A newbie may possibly have an concern. For the value it can't be beat!

Affordable, HDMI, decent IGP, X6 support Have however to have one run totally stable. Installed 8 with 1333 DDR3 and all 8 have had difficulties. Have tried alternate ram configurations / manufactures, with a little good results. Slight improvements in stability but nevertheless having problems. Memory will pass memtest86+ but fail windows memory diagnostic. making use of Windows 7 X64 pro. I am nevertheless unsure exactly where the challenge lies, this may well be a stable board but I have bad memory modules. but 8 back to back failures with memories appear highly unlikely. This issue could be resolved with a bios update if it is motherboard associated although.

Loaded with characteristics.. I have the USB3 version, which seems to be discontinued, or perhaps has rolled more than into the 890. Does every thing I will need and additional. Easy, elegant, almost everything functions. Good BIOS plan. The onboard video and audio function fine for my purposes. No USB3 version supplied anymore? This was the 1st construct I've performed with a micro ATX,. Was surprisingly tiny coming out of the box.. lol.

I didn't have any complications with this MB during install. Anything fit together nice and worked as expected. As one more reviewer has stated, the northbidge heatsink may well want revised throughout a future board revision. I accidentally pushed on mine (not too tough) and the bond among the heatsink and the chip broke. I pushed it back down but didn't attempt to put additional thermal paste on. I'll continue to watch the MB temp but as of now it looks ok. I was in a position to unlock four cores on my AMD Phenom II x2 555 cpu but only Right after upgrading bios to F7 beta. It runs significantly hotter so program on purchasing an soon after-industry cpu cooler. It was as easy as setting two items in the bios for me. If you fail prime95 then make confident the cpu's aren't acquiring too hot. You might have to minimize cpu frequency in order to bring down temps.

The atitude displayed byGigaByte support in these evaluations is outstanding. Can we anticipate something a lot more form vendors? if it's a issue they will make it suitable. I enjoy that! Based on that, I bought 1, with two a lot more coming. No cons yets, except electronic products are not generally perfect. That's why vendor assistance is essential!

Decent price, lots of attributes, simple to set up (just install the AMD and Realtek drivers). I could do without having the "Design in Taipei" and "Turbo 3D" text on the board. All round it seems like a good, stable board. SATA 6GB/sec or USB three would be good, but I'm sure they'll trickle down to this price point ultimately.

Low-cost Hmm...purchased 8GB Kingston HyperX 1333 RAM. MB gave four long beeps which I identified from the world-wide-web as a signal of RAM dilemma. Went to Gigabyte website, the board seems to be extremely particular about RAM (being DDR3 1333 could not be compatible, what Gigabyte got on their internet site is very fuzzy; I can't figure out which RAM to be buy to work for the board). I had an Asus MB before and it worked fine with any DDR3 RAMs. Be really cautious and attentive about receiving the board and a compatible RAMs. I got stuck with an unusable RAMs to revolve with. This shouldn't be this complicated!

Superior mid-range board. Works with ESXi 4.1 without significantly concern, just disable C1E in the BIOS. Does not support IOMMU (so no VMDirectPath) but that is not the fault of the board. Phenom x6, 16GB RAM, WD Black challenging drives - runs all of my VMs just fine

It's a excellent board, I can't say enough superior thing about it. I looked at Gigabyte's RAM list and bought some G.Skill ram on it, with a Phenom 555 X2. Unlocked the Phenom X2 to a X4 with one push of a button. Stable all day, board runs four degrees fahrenheit over ambient temperature. No issues whatsoever (besides my fault of having an underpowered PSU for my setup) The only actual con I can think of is the "Hybrid" graphics is completely worthless to most people. You have to pair it with a horribly low end ATI card. I just bought a Sapphire Vapor-X 5750 and paired it. Just make sure not to truly obtain this board since you believe you can pair its onboard graphics and have some crazy GPU. Honestly, I went out on a limb to grab a Gigabyte board from my regular Asus boards. I've built computers for practically each personal computer I've owned and this is the smoothest construct I've ever carried out. Great item, excellent organization. I'll be a customer from now on.

GIGABYTE GA-880GM-UD2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: - No USB 3.0- HUGE deal-breaker here! The sata ports aren't on the side, they're all vertical and right in line with the PCI-E 16x slot so that mean that if you use ANY recent high-end video card it's gonna sit right on top of 3/4 of the sata ports so you'll be unable to use 3 out of the 5 ports!

Pros: - Price once price-matched- It haves all the necessary for someone not willing to use 2 video cards.- Good overclocking capability.- It's using the latest chipset (800 Series)

Everything seemed perfect until we get into this issue on my cosin's new computer I built him. When we upgraded his Radeon HD4850 for a HD6870 it blocked 3 of his 5 sata ports so he couldn't use 3 hard drive. He didn't want to return the board and pay restocking fees so he instead he had to waste like 70$ to buy a PCI-E sata controller. Instead he could have got a full ATX board even better at this price...

I'm a big fan of Gigabyte products. In my experience, their customer support, while still okay, may not be quite as good as ASUS, but I've rarely, if ever, had an issue with a Gigabyte product. Not much to complain about with this board. I bought this board because I already have a USB 3.0 card, and I already have a dedicated HTPC so I don't need HD audio bitstreaming.Despite the fact that it lacks HD audio bitstreaming, I still recommend this board for a HTPC or even budget gaming computer.

Pros: Good solid mobo, works well and has good driver support

I've used a lot of these in system builds and have had absolutely no problems. Gigabyte updates their driver selection reasonably often and ATI's site also updates drivers for these on a reasonably consistent basis. Nothing special but it is solid and will do the job.

I have owned several ASUS and GIGABYTE boards - both manufacturers produce reliable boards. I have yet had an issue with the three GB boards to date.
