Had to send back to OEM
Comment:
Had to buy this mobo to replace the first, which took Gigabyte a month to fix and return. The first mobo after 5 months would not get bast POST. So Gigabyte just return the first mobo, and I will keep it as a spare.

Great deal for a budget system
Comment:
I used this board to build a budget dual-core system along with the Intel E5300 CPU. The board works great and performs smoothly. The on-board audio works well with a 5.1 speaker system, but the video is lacking - I would definitely recommend going with a PCI express video card and not relying on the built-in video.

works very well so far!
Comment:
I built a system with this board, with a Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93Ghz 3M 1066Mhz 775 CPU and has been a very faat and stable system! Make sure and run the install disc that comes with your motherboard or go to the manufacturer and download the newest drivers, and you should have no problems!

Value for the money, a little outdated
Comment:
It works fine and has the basics to get you going. It has legacy support for floppy, older IDE but I would have rather had more PCI-e slots. On board LAN with WoL capability is good, there's enough USB 2.0 and SATA connections for general use. 5.1 audio is through a complicated assigment of stereo mini outs - get a sound card instead

Great value board
Comment:
Purchased this board as part of a barebones package (with E5200 2.5Ghz & 2GB RAM but added another 2GB stick). Install and setup were easy - no significant problems. Using onboard graphics & sound, runs great with WinXP. Great value board.

Great Micro Motherboard
Comment:
Part of a bare-bones system. Installed easily & has worked great since installing Windows 7 Ultimate 32X. On-board video & sound also works very good for general computing needs. Would like to have 2 more SATA connections, but very good for a basic system.

Fantasktic Buy - Up and Running Windows 7
Comment:
I bought this system to replace my wifes aging HP computer. I took all of her devices and drives and put them into the new system and booted her Home Edition XP, then upgraded it to Windows 7 Premium. She is so happy now everything opens in a heatbeat. What a great buy! PS: It is even faster than my new HP with Windows 7!!!

Its great when you get it running.
Comment:
It took me several hours to get this thing running. My OS on my sata didnt have the driver for the mobo, so it wouldn't load. I had to re-install the OS, but its a great mobo and has loads of clocking settings, my 2.4 pen4 is running at 3.0ghz, the only thing is the onboard lan doesnt pick up, you have to do it manually. graphics is 1,008MB, thats right. but not good for gaming.

Not a bad board
Comment:
I bought this for my dad since he didnt have any intergrated graphics that would run windows 7 Aero effects, from an HP tower. Now he is happy with the board and likes it. I would reccomend this board if your looking for a M-ATX setup

Hangs at ''Starting Windows'' Banner
Comment:
I have been unable to install any operating system with this motherboard. It consistently hangs at the Starting Windows banner with no hard disk activity. I have tried all the tricks that I know including verifying processor and memory voltages and timings, disconnecting all USB etc. Manufacturer's support has been courteous but of little help in resolving this difficulty. I bought this as a portion of a barebones kit. I am an experienced PC builder

Seems to work well. Easy install I thought. I didn't see a 1394 connection if you need it? I called tech support to ask a question - didn't have to wait long and pretty helpful. Would recommend.

If your looking for something reliable don't chose this, If your looking for a good value again don't chose this. Pay the extra 30 bucks for the Japanese solid capacitors

Rock Solid Motherboard
Comment:
This board is rock solid, I can't believe the problems people have with this board. I own two of these motherboards, fitted with Intel Core2 Duo processors. Both are running Windows 7 just fine. I have SATA and IDE drive mixes on both systems and had no problems with that combination,(500gig SATA WD and IDE 80gig Seagate's) The Phoenix Bios programing is top notch in my books. The motherboard it's self is sturdy including all the plug in ports. For being a fairly cheap motherboard, your getting your money's worth plus. I've purchased other mother boards for about the same price, but with Gigabyte your definitely getting quality right out of the box.
