Worked out Well
Comment:
I bought this so I could upgrade my processor. And I did just that. Great Motherboard, the only con about it is the boards compacted and takes a while to start.

Overall A Good Deal For The Price
Comment:
I was pretty pleased with the ease of setup with this motherboard. I did however have some complications with the SATA components. I did not really look into the problem to much due to the fact this was for my uncle and he had an IDE H.D.D to use. But I could not get the SATA working on my Raptor 1TB H.D.D Other than that the system ran flawless.

excellent motherboard
Comment:
I have been away from computer building for a few years and I was not up to the latest offerings in motherboards , however I found this to be a much better motherboard than I had purchased before and I had purchased quite a few and had problems with them and short lives but this one is great.

my motherboard
Comment:
it is a very compact motherboard i can't think of any component left out which it has already (except onboard wireless communication cards) you will need to have a desk light and magnifier to get to install hd,power so on indicator lights run your backup copy of your os files so the hardware change takes effect loads up

Reliable
Comment:
Most reliable so far. Good value and works. Quality can be little improved. Be little careful to put on cooling fan feet on the board.

I bought this to replace a fried Compaq mobo. Right out of the box I installed it and a new processor and it fired right up with no difficulties. Lots of nice features included in the software as well. very good deal for the price in a home computer.

Quick to boot, everything works just as they shoul
Comment:
Some of the things I really like about Giga main boards is their speed of POST, the time it takes from pushing the on button to the time you get into Windows. This board is fast. Gigabyte boards have always been fast to post and boot. I put this together and loaded Windows XP SP3 without a single hiccup. No need for SATA F6 drivers either since it's Intel and the BIOS can emulate SATA drives as IDE during install. This is a superb board for the price and considering it's upgradeable to Quad Core CPU's you have some life on it as well. Thanks Giga

Had this mobo for about 2 months now. I have 3 of them actually, and I use them in almost every way imaginable. I am a computer repair technicion, 8 years experience, and I have ran everything from windows 98, me, xp home and pro, vista, and 7, to snow leopard from mac. The motherboard has great features and serves many purposes. Great mobo for the buy! Thanks TigerDirect.

Excellent MB
Comment:
Gigabyte builds a great line of MB's. Used an Intel E5200 processor. This was an easy build with excellent Gigabyte features and performance. It has been very stable, no crashes or issues, since I built it 2 months ago. Would highly recommend it, especially for the price.

this sucks!
Comment:
i ordered this as part of a bundle. first mobo i got was defective. second one wouldn't completely seat the processor. even when the cpu fan was tightly secure the processor wasn'tt. gigabyte told me there was no way to fix this so i switched to an intel mobo. seemed more like a bad product than bad luck

Gigabit tech support was helpful. Don't forget the 4-prong power supply plug for the mother board. Once I corrected my mistake, it took off without a hitch.

I didn't read the specs close enough and was surprised that it had only one IDE connector on the board. Otherwise, I am well satisfied.

XP Users Beware!
Comment:
This board is not compatible with XP no service pack disks and some OEM disks. If you have Vista or W7 you may be fine but XP can have problems.

I wanted a MB that would allow me to install Win XP with as little effort as possible. This allowed me to do that, so I am very satisfied.
