Anything works except the lan port. install win 7 skilled 64, install the lan driver from the cd comes with the board, lan shows no connedction with an active cable plug in, (the same connection cable functions on other pcs). Attempt different setting on the biso, similar result. Had to return it and newegg charge return charges.

A nice mixture of attributes, extremely very good value for the income. In spite of what the product documentation claims, the eSATA connection is NOT hot-swappable. That is, if you plug in an external drive by way of eSATA, you won't be in a position to unplug it unless you shut down the computer. The GIGABYTE tech support could not aid with this difficulty. The built-in sound stopped operating after 14 days. RMA-ing the board, hopefully the replacement will perform superior.

Has a good box. Compatible with Mac OS if you want to construct a hackintosh. Got this for Christmas. Had no problems creating the technique, installing Windows. Every little thing went nicely. These days 1 month from Christmas. I go to turn on the technique and it will not boot. Spent an hour with Gigabyte tech support, which is no fun. They can barely speak english. Anyway, they want me to reflash the bios. Stated it would read new bios off flash drive. Well I have news for them. It doesnt. It says I have no drives available. USB Keyboard does not work now. Had to dig out a PS2 keyboard to get into the bios. They mentioned to return it. So I am. I was hoping Newegg would give me a refund so I can get an ASUS motherboard but I am only in a position to get a replacement. Yay me. I get to have one more piece of garbage motherboard. This is my 1st and last Gigabyte product. When I bought it. The critiques had been good. Now they are fairly bad. Not a pleased customer. Save oneself some hassle. Purchase ASUS. I have an old ASUS method and that factor has been bullet proof for a few years. If NewEgg would let me, I'd gladly pay additional for a superior motherboard. Superior possibilities for video output, lots of USB options and SATA availability. Fairly straightforward to install and configure with fairly excellent documentation. Overclocking with some trial and error to be expected. Decent cost. Came with firmware F6. Downloaded F10 and upgraded with out a dilemma. Not confident why it came with F6, given that F7 is the 1st firmware for this Rev 2 board Space for memory, a huge arctic cooler fan for the cpu, and each PCIe and PCI slots for my Tv cards. Utilised as an HTPC and common desktop Computer operating Fedora Linux. The intel I3 processor does ok with most tv playback via mplayer. It would be good to have a graphics card, but they cost as significantly as this motherboard, and I don't play games. Overclocked the i3 530 2.93 Ghz up to 3.52 effortlessly with DDR3 1600 memory. Got lucky and happened to have a PSU that supported the EPS12V wants of this motherboard. I love all the USB and SATA availability.

It seemed to work fine for 6 months. I’ve had this board operating for approx. 6 months with a Corsair Reactor R60 SSD. It was set to AHCI and worked fine. Then I updated the bios to F8. The method started to shut down randomly. It would at times run for five minutes and other times an hour. In the course of this time the F9 bios came out so I updated to that and it seemed worse. So I went back to F6, which had been operating fine. Now the system won’t boot at all. I attempted reinstalling Windows 7 Ultimate X64 but I can’t get the operating system to load. It fails at the 1st reboot with a blue screen even if I set the controller to IDE. The Corsair SSD works fine in a different method and I attempted a WD Silicon Edge SSD that was brand new with this board and it also failed to boot. Strangely enough it works just fine with a normal tough drive and AHCI so it’s not completely useless but it may possibly as well be. This is also the only board I’ve ever noticed that won’t run a small 2.5 external USB two difficult drive simply because it won’t supply sufficient power by means of the USB port. It also at times won’t let me use my wireless keyboard to get into and set the BIOS when I boot up. I won’t say not to purchase this board but beware if you strategy to use an SSD. Extremely nice board its truly all i can say it works well and in fact overclocks nicely. replaced my Asrock P55 Pro board witch was HORRIBLE i dont have any cons on the board but appear at other thoughts granted i dont want to sound like a baby but newegg needs to do alot greater job in there spec page. i know there so much stuff on here to keep track of but nonetheless. the specs say it has no onboard video and is only a single pci express slot. witch is wrong it does have on board video and in fact is an sli crossfire board. i generally check the specs initially witch turned me away at 1st lucky a friend of mine noticed the picture of the board and i saw it had almost everything i was searching for. ive noticed this with a few issues ive ordered from newegg. may sound like im crying about it but oh nicely its actually the only thing i can say about the board and the shopping experiencereguardless newegg is often my 1st way to go when ordering some thing and there shipping is extreamily rapidly so if your wanting a low cost board for your set up and works well this is the way to go.paired withI7 8608GB A-Information PC12800Sapphire Radeon 58301000 Watt Energy Supplytwo 1TB Challenging Drives

Effortless install. I like the layout of the expansion slots. No major problems at all. The manual is really understandable and the BIOS setup was straightforward. The board has an odd audio issue when turning the computer on. When turning the computer on from a shutdown, the board sends audio signals to the speakers so that a rolling thunder noise is produced. The first time I heard this, I truly believed it was raining outside. The second audio problem occurs when you wake the pc from sleep and the board outputs a single loud pop through the speakers. Both of these problems have in no way happened with the same speakers on my other motherboards. I even switched the PSU to see if that was contributing to the powering on sounds, but that didn't aid. I have conctacted Gigabyte support, but no reply however.Only 1 SysFan. Haven't tried USB 3. however.

Lots of features, Affordable, USB three., Core i5s, lots of room to play with. Lots of space for RAID. There's a capacitor that is or may be in the way correct by the processor and underneath the stock fan. If this factor truly worked when I hooked it up, I'd in fact give it a 5 star. Following three hours of troubleshooting, the factor still didn't POST and hung on a black screen. Returning for RMA and hoping the subsequent one will work. Such an inconvenience and waste of dollars on shipping.Enjoy NewEgg though! Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your comments. Honest and constructive opinions are constantly welcome. Incredibly effortless to set up, which is of course the initial factor you want in a MB. I have doubts about the Intel drivers associated with the onboard H55 chipset (e.g. video is not as smooth as it need to be in my opinion). But the chipset is new, and so is the board. I'm positive points will settle. And in the meantime, my setup (i3) is very fast and smooth. Thanks as generally to Newegg for shipping speedily. Needs to mature? Hey, but so do I. Can't wait to see far more USB3. devices coming out.

This MB has been running 24ǝ for the past 6 months without a glitch (that I didn't cause). I like how it operates, the significant quantity of USB ports, the graphics connectors (with an i3 - 530 processor as a source) and terrific sound. This machine is utilized for recording Tv shows, often three at a time. Playback works great, as does utilizing it for playing all of my music. I had some troubles with the USB-three ports and my external backup drive. They function ok with my uC controllers and the keyboard/mouse receivers so it isn't a huge deal. I don't understand why so many men and women are complaining about reboots. I'm running Fedora 14 linux and reboot perhaps as soon as a month. The only glitch I has was with a bad usb device that prevented the MB from acquiring past the bios screen. On other MB's I've seen reboot issues with undersized/bad power supplies. I've got a 650W supply for my machine given that there are three HD's, the DVD and 2 Tv cards in it. It just works properly, and I'm thinking of acquiring a different to make a Windows machine.

Great budget build for an I3 with USB3. Board was well laid out but be careful if you plan to use a oversize GPU and sound card, it can get tight.

Cons: Minor Weaknesses only 2 PCI-E slots and only 1 E-Sata port.Major Wekanesses - NONE

Pros: 4 video output options. USB3 connectivity.
Comment:
This is a very nice board equipped with everything required for a HTPC, including 2 USB3 ports. Everything on this board is placed logically and it's large enough to allow adequate air flow between components. I wish it had an extra PCI-E slot and at least on more E-Sata port (I had to add a port-multiplier for my particular setup) but for the price point this mobo is a very good value.

GIGABYTE GA-H55M-USB3 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: no mosfet/VRM cooling, second PCI-E slot is 1x

Pros: 11 power phases, exceptional quality for a low end board, price, good layout, USB3
Comment:
My first impressions of this board were VERY good, the board smelled like quality. 11 separate power phases, half of which were for the CPU AND an 8 pin power connector. All this on a matx board under $100 that isn't considered high end.Considering the fact that this board does not use right angle SATA ports, the layout was fairly well thought out, no major blockage issues with the big tower coolers and long dual slot cards. My only gripe is the lack of mosfet cooling, but that can be taken care of with some relatively cheap copper heatsinks.

Cons: Second Crossfire PCI-E only runs at 4X

Pros: Performs WellAffordableCrossfire SupportOverclocks Great!MATX, More room in Case..
Comment:
Bought this motherboard for my Hackintosh build, and its really impressive, it performs & overclocks very well, I was able to get my Core i3 540 y 4.41GHZ Prime Stable.. The only downside I see is that the second PCI-E slot actually only runs at 4X, so if your looking to use more then one graphics card (Crossfire) then you won't get the best performance...
