I purchased this modem based on feedback from other purchasers. Glad I read the reviews! The modem worked great with Vista! I installed it in about two minutes, started the computer, it found the hardware and auto installed necessary drivers, configurations, etc in about 30 seconds and I was up and running. First truly plug-n-play piece of computer equipment I have ever purchased. I highly recommend it, especially if you are running Vista.

I upgraded to Windows 7 Professional and could not find a driver for the one I was using. I started searching and read the reviews on one that would work with Windows 7. I felt it was a very good value and purchased it. I am very satisified with this modem. I felt the shipping was a little high but received in a few days.

My other modem would not work on Comcast cable broadband. Plugged it in using Win 7 64 bit and windows installed a LSI driver. Windows update even installed a newer one a day later. Works great.

This modem worked great with Windows Vista. It installed immediately without even having to use the software disk. It did develop a problem after a week, but Hiro and this retailer worked quickly to replace it at no charge.

The modem-on-hold feature is not supported with software supplied. I searched on manufacturer's website and was unable to locate. The modem itself is easy to install and connects with the driver supplied. No complaints about actual dial-in function. DON'T buy this modem if you are wanting your call waiting function to work when modem is connected.

I replaced a ZOOM 3025N that would sometimes crash and restart my system,zoom said it was not their modem but microsoft said it was the modem. SO far this one is doing just fine,a little slower than the zoom but it has not crashed and that is what I was looking for. WELL worth the money. NOTE,,AFTER you install it do a search online and up date the driver.

My old modem did not have any drivers for Windows 7, and I could not get it to work. Ordered this modem and installed it. Windows 7 64 bit immediately identified it and installed drivers. Works great. Only use modem for occasional faxes.

This is such a great fax/modem for any price. It set up great in XP Pro 64 Bit. That was something my old modem would not do. XP64 would not even see it. I've only sent faxes with it so far and it connects at 14400. Thats 3 pages in less than a min. Try it you'll like it.

Your not going to be pleased with the lack of selection in modems that work in Visa, let alone Vista 64 bit. But this one is a solid choice that is recognized by Vista and the driver installed at boot - no problemo (think it's the Agere chip set that Vista and Windows 7 likes real well). Now with Windows 7 all set to take the baton from XP and Vista, you are going to want to grab this one, in fact I got two. Don't forget Win 7 will bring back the ''Fax and Scan'' program to all versions, so if you need to send that occasional fax, you will be all set with this one. Priced right too.

Better and faster than the factory installed modem. Would highly recommend this product. Worked perfect right out of the box on my Gateway profile 5 with XP pro.Good volume to the internal speaker. Also,The little blue light is kind of sexy when working in a darkened room. Thank You HiRO for an outstanding product.

I purchased this modem because it had an Agere chip set. My previous modem connected at about 28K. With this modem it connects at 40K+. The installation was quick and faultless.

I have caller Id software downloaded on my computer. I have tried several modems that just would not work with my new setup. This modem works perfect with phone tray dialup. I give it 5 Stars & recommend it.

I needed to replace my Dell's manufactured modem when I upgraded to Vista. Finally I found a modem that works with Vista. It responds well to Vista's built in fax program and my Dell A90 All in one fax. And the quality of the faxes are pretty good. The price was more than reasonable. I just needed a modem to fax and it does it.

There a very few modems that work with Vist 64 Bit. This modem works great, no problems or worries. Easy set up, I love it!

This is the best dial up modem I have ever used. On any other one I've had I was lucky if I got 32 K with Hiro 56K I alwas get over 40 K I won't use any other modem but, this one. DjRoY Peebles

old modem died and this makes a WORLD of difference. Its the fastest I've ever surfed on a dial up. i cant figure out the caller id and internet pause though
