Got this modem today and had it u and running in no time. Very Limited on extra features and a little bit slower than my old one, but it does install easily and connects to the web which is why i bought it. So overall for the price very good deal. completely satisfied. |

For me, I just needed a modem to connect to the internet that was compatible with Vista x64. This did it, and tends to give faster connection speeds than we ever got with our old modem. We live in an area where I never thought we'd see anything over 26.4 Kbps, but this connected at 28.8. Still slow, but better than we've had, even if it is a meager increase. This modem did what I needed it to, so no complaints. |

It works great with my Vista Machine, I've been looking for long for a modem that works but either it is not compatible or lack of function. I finally this one fits. The speed are fast and it works on my other XP tower right out of the box. Worth every penny I spent on it, highly recommended. |

I am surprised by the performance of this modem, my old one got zapped so I need to get one replaced and works with my vista machine. The driver is built in so it install itself, the speed is connected at 53kbps constantly. Highly recommended. |

Get the modem and install like a charm. Connect and Fax with no problem. Get the latest 2.1.83 driver updated from Hiro's website and then install FaxTalk to get the CallerID working. Though it doesn't say that it works with CallerID and Distinctive Ring but both function works for me. Great products. |

We search on the internet and found Hiro's modem which is highly recommended by the software provider. The driver needs to be updated to have CallerID function enable due to the built in driver from MSFT doesn't work. Great products and the product we need, thanks to Hiro and TigerDirect. |

It's cheap and it installed easily, but that's all the positive things I can say about it. It failed after 4 months. The solid state switching failed and it wouldn't hang up. The speed also slowed to 28, was 49. Agere is now owned by LSI whose website is a little lean on support and driver updates. |

for $8 you cant go wrong. My cheap mother still insists on dialup for a ISP. It gets on pretty quick and although its probably her phone line, the connection is slow but dialing up its fast. |

Bought this modem because it was listed as 64-bit, Vista ready, and a fax modem. Vista self installs the driver as Agere Systems PCI-SV92PP Soft Modem. However, when trying to send a fax with Microsoft Fax, all I get is Fatal Error. That's all I bought it for since I have broadband for internet access. |

The best modem I have ever owned. I connect to AOL in 30 seconds, from clicking 'Sign On' to the home page loading. Just amazing. And it even works at full speed with my Windows Vista rig! |
The first one shipped didn't work, but no hassle return and exchange. Great buy for the money and good features. Only draw back is modem-on-hold software is not on the disk. It must be downloaded from the Hiro manufacturer website, which in and of itself was a pain to find. Reliability of modem-on-hold is still not fully known.
